I've read this title a few times and I'm still not sure if MiataMarv is supposed to be an insult or a compliment. I think most car people really like Miatas...I'm one of them.
The idea that Michigan could retain Harbaugh but won't because of the NCAA scam is really painful. It essentially means the shills in that org achieve their ultimate goal of getting Harbaugh out of Michigan because we let ourselves trip on our own shoelaces. We'll probably never know exactly what is going on in those conversations but just the idea that we held the initiative and failed to act really bothers me.
I was a student from 07-11 so I had the dark time thrust upon me. This makes it all okay though! Go Blue! Can’t wait to wear Michigan gear all week around Seattle.
This has to be a very dated take. I’ve lived here for 12 years now and there are barely any UW football fans in Seattle let alone outside of the metro area. Maybe in the 80s and early 90s when they had a long run of relevance but not anymore. I’ve met quite a few alum through work and my personal life and they’re usually very great people but maybe a handful of them know who Penix is. Once you go east of the Cascades or south of Tacoma, most people are WSU fans. Once you go outside of Washington, the PNW just defaults to their regional schools. Most people in Oregon are Ducks fans with a few Beaver fans sprinkled in so I have no clue what you’re talking about with regards to UW’s “importance to the greater NW region”.
I live in Seattle and my wife is a Washington Alum and frankly, nobody seems to care about football. It's why I want Michigan to win so badly. I know a boatload of UW alum and I've met maybe a handful who even know who Penix is.
Somewhere between 60/40 to 66/33 Mich/Bama. We definitely had more fans in the stands and the Alabama sections were very quiet for big portions of the game. I honestly think them going second but being forced to play towards our end zone made a difference. It was LOUD on our side.
