I'm more interested in the other players mentioned in that article who are transferring, especially Eli Holstein. Top 100 QB in last year's class, looks like he can run a little bit, and as a freshman the transfer shouldn't be an issue.
It's probably a pipe dream since he's from Louisiana but if JJ decides to go, Michigan should definitely check in with him.

It's really incredible. If Kirk Ferentz could just get out of his own paternal way and hire a real OC, that team could easily be top 10. The talent on the offensive side isn't great, but just competent and coherent playcalling and scheme probably gets them into the top 25 of SP+ offense, in which case they are top 10 overall.
The NYC marathon handles this 2nd mile dilemma by making the 1st mile straight uphill (up a bridge) and the 2nd straight down. It’s lovely. Imo it’s the 3rd-20th miles that getcha.

Yeah, after his excellent debut, he was thrown into some tough game situations for the USMNT and didn't shine. But he does a lot of little things very well, and he's been very good for a *terrible* Dutch team. And for a striker, being good even when the team around you sucks and struggles to create chances is no small feat.
He's also a very different type of player to Balogun, so it's going to be really nice to have them both.
Honestly, they have such a huge and deep player pool, that losing him isn't nearly as big a deal to them as getting him is to us.
I'm sure they're not thrilled about it but it's not some huge existential crisis for them. Also they are so biased towards the Premier League, so you don't mean anything to them until you are performing well in that league.

I don't want to go full Rutgers, but I like the idea of an athletic, long, defensively pesky team. It may make for some ugly 62-58 wins, but I'll take that over a bunch more 78-74 losses.
YouTube TV is, imo, superior to other “cable” providers. Slightly fewer channels than cable, and way fewer than dish, but the price is excellent.
Also, the recording situation is far superior. I added Michigan FB and BBall to my library and every game gets recorded and I never have to think about it. I can watch on my phone and computer too, even when traveling.
Right, but now we have 5. And it just seems like if you have limited transfer spots, and big needs at the 3 and 4, that you don't want to overdo it in the backcourt.
So, like, it's great to have all this guard depth now. But who is going to start at the 3? That spot seems really thin.
Plus Dug. It's 5 guys for 2 spots, one of whom is (or should be) the locked in starting PG. It just seems like we have a gaping hole at the 3 and 4 and we're overloading on guys for the backcourt...unless at least one of these dudes projects to play the 3.
My question is: with Llewelyn coming back, and Burnett and Love coming in, (plus The Prez), the backcourt is suddenly really crowded. Can any of these guys play the 3?

If SDSU somehow pulls off the upset, I win a pretty large pool. So of course I'll be rooting hard for them but I'm not very hopeful.
Connecticut looks unstoppable. They can beat you down low, or at the 3 line. They play excellent defense. They are super deep, so tired legs and/or foul trouble aren't a thing. The only way I see SDSU winning is if they somehow get a ton of offensive rebounds and get a bunch of 3s to fall while UConn has an off-shooting night. Even then, it's going to be a huge uphill battle for them.

I didn't realize that was the scoring when I made my bracket, but it makes for some really interesting incentives in your picks.
10/16 with 3 of my final 4 still intact. This next round will make or break me as I have SDSU beating Bama and making the final 4. If that happens I'll be in most excellent shape compared to the people I'm up against.
Daisy Jones and the Six on Amazon is pretty good so far.
If you like the Almost Famous-style fictional rock biopic, this is a solid entry in the genre (so far).
Added bonus: some good current musicians wrote the music the band plays (Phoebe Bridgers, Jackson Browne, etc) and the actors actually play and sing it, and they’re good!
Our Flag Means Death is definitely a specific type of thing, but it’s hilarious. If anyone likes other stuff by Taika Waititi, this is definitely one to watch.
As an aside, I also highly recommend his movie Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Brilliant stuff
I teach in the nyc metro and it’s the same here. Lots of kids apply to UM among Ivys, the top Cali schools, and the like. I’ve never heard of any of our kids applying to ND.
I’m 100% ready to leave this season behind, to the point I hope they miss the tournament. They’re not fun to watch, at all.
Having said that, if Hunter, Kobe, and Jett all come back (or at least 2 of the 3) they could be really good next year. If all 3 leave…oof. Prepare for more pain.

But to call them a tabloid is to either 1) grossly misunderstand the meaning of that word 2) grossly misunderstand what the Times actually does, or 3) both
