I know all the top programs…

I know all the top programs pay their players but how is it that this year OSU is about to have like 10 fives stars if 247 crystal balls are even somewhat right (they already have 5), and no one really bats an eye? Also, why doesn't Bama have anyone for 2021?

Three not great games in a…

Three not great games in a row! The offense was cooking but man this was not much of a defensive battle.  It seems that players who aren't good at certain things on average are good at them against us, this game it happened to be Wiggins and Ayala on 3's, next game its going to be something else. We have certainly lost our defensive skill.

I have been very unimpressed with Teske and Z down the stretch. Z is still dealing assists but he lacks the ability to take over a game and can't close out a game the way Trey could or Derrick. Teske has completely lost his flair from the beginning of the season and can't find it anywhere.

How in the hell did this…

How in the hell did this team beat Gonzaga, end of post, bye.

This team seems to be…

This team seems to be overrated the more I see them play. Even with Livers, it's clear they lost their defensive edge and can't shoot worth a damn. X needs to play better, especially for a senior point guard, way too many turnovers. If Livers doesn't come back soon, we're doomed. I'm amazed these boys smoked Gonzaga, seems like an entire season ago.

I think a lot of it has to…

I think a lot of it has to do with him having to do more in the offensive department and them also lacking Livers, a great defender himself. What I don't get is why we don't rebound better and why the exact thing Juwan wants to do (play though the center) we can't do and actually other teams do magnificently against us...can we can the elite defender icon off Teske now?

Def should have double…

Def should have double teamed, they had no one else who could hit a shot. Teske did fine but like I said, teams are having career nights against him for some reason and three is something to comment on, one or two are not.

Such a great game to watch,…

Such a great game to watch, though nerve-wracking. Didn't really realize how badly we need Livers and his defense until this game. Incredible play from X, he needs to drive constantly against teams. Maybe time to take the elite defender icon off Teske? Three different players have had career nights against him...Purdue, Illi, and Iowa, maybe Juwan is focusing more on developing his post-up talent than his defense. I still worry about the fact that it was so difficult to beat Purdue ( a team without its leading scorer and barely scoring 55 points a game on the road) when we were at home. Win and improve.

Two things strike me here…

Two things strike me here. The first is I wish we won that battle and got Cassius, he's clearly better than Z. Z is a better defender but Cassius just plays lights out all the time, even with one of the countries best defenders on him. The second is, we have no one who can take over and put the team on their back the way Trey used to do over and over again. I see this team as a second round team.

Still love Juwan and these…

Still love Juwan and these kids though it wasn't pretty. Why didn't we go to 2-3 zone more to contain Cassius? I remember a thread a while back about Cassius vs Zavier and no on can honestly say Zavier, he's been outplayed by Cassius every game they've played I think. Come back Livers, we need him badly to be a force.

Missed the point entirely,…

Missed the point entirely, what I'm referring to is that Michigan coaches clearly can't coach transfers in to their potential or even make them work to be good game managers. Jake was okay, O'korn was a complete disaster, and Shae was okay as well, still waiting for a "great" QB under Jim. Harbaugh is not the QB coach we thought he was, the so-called "QB whisperer" hasn't had a star QB in five years. A three star back up who has barely seen the field lit us up for 300 yards and 3 TDs. Burrow, Fields, and Yates, all transfers are arguably some of the best QBs of the decade, don't compare them to Shae, you're out of your mind.

Exactly my point, our…

Exactly my point, our coaches can’t teach transfers, Harbaugh does an incredible job developing talent but he needs four years to do it.

Yup, lets stop starting…

Yup, lets stop starting transfer QBs. I want a four year starter. who comes to our program for our program. Shae was overrated.

Still waiting to see one of…

Still waiting to see one of Harbaugh's teams keep pace with other good teams, I've seen it about 5 times out of the 50 games he's coached for us. Back-up three-star QB tore us apart against a five start senior QB, how much longer do we have to wait? Some optimism but not much going in to next year.

It's usually the case that…

It's usually the case that most players who think they should go, should probably stay, especially if you're not projected as a first or second rounder (Iggy and Poole). I trust professional NBA scouts more than these kids and almost all would say, stay another year at Michigan. Iggy is pretty damn good and probably doesn't need much coaching from JB anymore but Poole is a completely different story. Can't play defense, questionable shot selection, poor assist man and poor rebounder. Jacking up threes like freshman Zak Irvin and occasionally having a ridiculous MJ like drive to the hoop to get you to 12ppg won't cut it in the NBA. I don't know if you pay attention to the G league, but VERY few players move from the G league to the NBA and the coaching is not great. Extra coaching at the college level (especially JB) is way better than the G league.

If Only Beilein could learn…

If Only Beilein could learn how to make guys stay, then he'd be the real deal, already is the real deal but he'd be even more of the real deal. Poole and Iggy should both stay but oh well. Hopefully we're good next, if  all three leave I guess we'll have a 20-12 type season or something close to that.

I'm a bit worried about the…

I'm a bit worried about the RB position. Even if a few hurt guys get healthy, one is a frosh and the other is inexperienced, hoping Charbonnet can really pull through and be the next awesome back at Michigan. Most of the other offensive stuff sounds and looks good. The defense will be fine and awesome as always.

It seems like we had all…

It seems like we had all the pieces but just didn’t put it together. I don’t think state is that good of a team but for some reason Xavier was just not able to stop Cassius and the refs didn’t help at all though you can’t blame it on that.  Things seemed pretty even at half time but then Izzo made some good adjustments and we didn’t really do anything in the second half. Can’t wait for the tournament,  I think this team will go far because other teams will have trouble playing them.

MSU is certainly not a…

MSU is certainly not a better team. Both these teams playing at their best, Michigan wins 8/10 times. We got out-coached, State has noone at this point except Cassius.

Agree, absolutely no reason…

Agree, absolutely no reason Brooks should be playing at this point, especially with the moxi Dejulius has shown.

You gotta hand it to Izzo,…

You gotta hand it to Izzo, we are a far better team and we just got outplayed and out-coached. We have better athletes but they didn't show it today. Charles inconsistency is really hurting this team, as a senior you can't go 1-8 against your in-state rival. I'm glad we get them again at Breslin and maybe in the tournament, they need to get whooped, screw sparty.

Uhh, the entire Wisconsin…

Uhh, the entire Wisconsin team doesn't play clean, let alone Happ, he got in Iggy's face numerous times, did you watch?

Z is the man, what a dog. I…

Z is the man, what a dog. I HATE Happ with a passion, so glad he lost. I still think we should have fouled him more but oh well, how did he score Wisconsins first 10 points!? On another note, it's nice to have Charles back, at least for a game, hopefully he can continue it, this team is slightly limited if he is only scoring 7 points a game.

Meh, no one is playing that…

Meh, no one is playing that well right now but Iggy and Zavier, Poole still scores 15 a game at least even if it takes him a lot of shots to get there, Charles is playing the poorest out of all the starters.

Everyone will vote me down…

Everyone will vote me down down for this but whatever, Charles is just not cutting it. His defense is awesome but everything else is not good, he has been regressing this entire year. Not many assists and turns the ball over, not to mention 2-12 from the field...the one thing scouts told him to work on (shooting) has been getting worse. This team is limited by Teske playing so few minutes and Charles being inconsistent. We need a back up center badly.

Yeah this team is really…

Yeah this team is really really good, it's great seeing it confirmed every game. To be honest I didn't see Z as becoming this good of a pg because of his offensive limitations but he is damn good at controlling the game. Charles seems a bit broken, hopefully Beilein can help him become more inconsistent and that takes this team from really really good to really really really good.

Not sure "Charles is…

Not sure "Matthews is starting to hit that midrange shot again" is accurate, I think he is 2-24 in his last 26 and the two makes came from a turn-around jumper in this game and the buzzer-beater.

I never know what to think…

I never know what to think when we beat a team at the buzzer who we should have beat by 12. Kinda happy, kinda meh. Hopefully that shot gets Charles going, he has been really struggling. Second straight game with only one player with an o-rating over 100 and its Big Sleep again! He is an interesting player, versatile in so many ways and yet little post-game. Beilein uses him well though. Also, how did Minnesota have so many efficient players this game?  Let's hope these guys get the offense going at IU.

Yeah this is basically why…

Yeah this is basically why he transferred form UK, not consistent enough and just disappears sometimes, plus there is a ton of competition at UK. He has trouble just getting a bucket when he has to, I'd much rather have Poole and Iggy doing the must have a bucket stuff.

haha, agree! This team is…

haha, agree! This team is fine, they were going to lose at some point and it isn't surprising that it was at the Trohl Center when Wisky needed a win. You can always look back and make changes after the game is over. Seemed like they should have fouled Happ more, no one else on wisky had over 9 points and Charles needs to get going, he's a senior and should play more consistent. They'll bounce back, you learn more from loses than wins. Beilein is the best in these moments.

So this team is just really,…

So this team is just really, really, really good. I was just talking about how if Z could score a few more points a game then they would really be on fire, he must have heard me. Charles continues to turn the ball over, 4 in this game, but I still think coach can fix him but he does seem to have hit his ceiling. Z and Big sleep hitting threes make these guys lethal.

Agreed, their games are…

Agreed, their games are nothing alike in terms of how they play and what they can do but at the same time they're pretty similar. Both get a lot of their baskets at the rim, both inconsistent, both will be/are okay nba players but nothing fantastic, both have difficulty creating off the dribble.

Yeah, agreed. He is a GR3…

Yeah, agreed. He is a GR3 type player with a higher ceiling. GR3 left a year too early for the NBA, I think he really could have used another year of coaching from Beilein. They'll both be solid-ish bench players for 15 years in the NBA I think, they have too much athleticism to peter out.

Good team, all starters in…

Good team, all starters in double figures. Not the most efficient game but it was nice to see we could grind out a win even when Iggy and Charles don't play their best games. Charles does seem to just have some built-in flaws but still a solid role player, he just can't seem to hit jumpers or have a good a-to ration, oh well. Livers is awesome, great sixth man.

Yeah my point is still valid…

Yeah my point is still valid, Pep hasn't proven himself. He has never been at a place long and doesn't put up great offensive numbers. Yeah he did well at Stanford and with the Colts but he also had Andrew Luck, arguably a top 8 QB in the NFL right now, and the best Stanford has had in 25 years.

SO happy about this, Pep…

SO happy about this, Pep needs to go, he hasn't proven himself here, time to move on, this new guy is a stud.

Certainly a giant middle…

Yeah, I basically agree, I…

Yeah, I basically agree, I still believe having a pg these days who averages 7pts a game probably won't cut it but maybe i'm thinking more of the nba too, so far we're doing just fine.

Yeah the comment was more a…

Yeah the comment was more a general one than about his play in this particular game, this game was an outlier actually. He is only averaging 6 shots a game, maybe because he plays such good defense but he should drive and shoot more.

I hope this was Brandon…

I hope this was Brandon Johns introducing himself to the world.  Really glad Charles got the better of Romeo, though I wish Romeo had like three points but oh well, Charles get em good regardless. The only thing that would make this team better is if X started scoring a teeny-tiny bit more.

Everyone looks pretty well…

Everyone looks pretty well-rounded out and certainly the defense can make-up for a bad shooting night when and if that happens because it occasionally happens to every team. Charles looks off, he has always been a bit inconsistent but I'm hoping coach can work some magic with him...no assists and 4 turnovers :/ Iggy and Poole are lights out.

Eli looks solid, it's nice…

Eli looks solid, it's nice to know we have a back-up for Z if it's needed, Eli provides a great spark especially when Z disappears from games and doesn't score which shouldn't happen because he can drive well but does anyway. Can't wait for these boring games to go away and for conference play to resume. Go blue!

I don't see how you can say…

I don't see how you can say this when he's played a total of 48 minutes. Yeah he does look kinda like a Doyle/Donnal type but, the jury is still out. People think he turns the ball over, 3 turnovers in 48 minutes is not bad. DJ looked like complete trash his first two years before blossoming in to a damn lottery pick (turns out he should have stayed another year but whatever lol). I'm not saying he will turn in to a lottery pick, probably far from it, but if there is anyone in the entire country who can develop a player, it's Johnny. He has taken far worse and made them functional, he will do the same with Davis as he always does.

Chill, I said it was a good…

Chill, I said it was a good problem to have.

Chill, did I not say it was…

oh boy!

Am I the only one worried…

Am I the only one worried that Pool, Iggy, and Matthews may all leave? A good problem to have but Jordan is lights out right now and so is Iggy. Matthews seems to be stuck kinda but I'm sure Johnny will get it out of him once conference play resumes. My only complaints are free throws and our pg can't shoot but at least he does everything else perfectly.

Totally agree, give the…

Totally agree, give the starters for next year reps, they need as much practice as they can get.

Yeah, gotta say, pretty sick…

Yeah, gotta say, pretty sick of this match-up. Florida is overrated, wish we got a better team to play, oh well. I hate how everyone (the media and announcers) thinks Harbaugh hasn't won a single "big game." Such BS, he has won a bunch of good games, just because he is 0-4 against OSU people say he sucks and hasn't won big games. Just this year, we beat Wisky, MSU, and PSU, all in a row, all ranked teams.  Yeah in hindsight they were all overrated but in the moment and at the time they were huge games to win. He also won against Wisky his first year which was a huge win and won the Orange Bowl his first year. He is a great coach and has won plenty of good games, get rid of Pep and we'll be elite.

Jahlil was the last player…

Wait are you serious, have you watched Zion, he can barely dribble. Jahlil was the last player from Duke who no one could touch, they blew him up to be the best player since Lebron, he was a stud on their best recent team (the one that won the national championship game in 2014/2015 in case you didn't know). Turns out, unlike in college, the NBA has bigger guys and knows how to guard, Jahlil has been garbage since year two in the NBA, the same thing will happen to Zion. Burly guys who can't shoot and don't have handles are not good in the NBA. Zion gets all his points at the rim just like Jahlil did in college because he is bigger than everyone, literally one of the biggest players in the college game right now. This changes in the NBA, Zion will be okay his rookie year, probably about 10 a game and then fall off, you'll see, you must not watch the big leagues.

I always wondered what would…

I always wondered what would happen if Beilein could get his teams to play in November like they do in March, well now I know, they just beat every team they play by at least 17. This team is incredible. With the addition of Iggy and the improvement on d they can match-up with anyone.  Give us dook, I wanna take it to Zion and RJ. Remember the last player dook had who everyone thought was unstoppable, Jahlil, well now he’s not even getting minutes in the nba, same thing will happen to Zion, not skilled enough for the big leagues.  Can’t dribble and can’t shoot...you can’t just dunk it on everyone on the nba. Go blue, beat all the teams you have left to play.

Beilein is the damn best…

Beilein is the damn best coach ever.  I was just about to say how Teske has been quiet and it seems like he'll take a year to develop, yet this game proved me wrong. They looked flawless, I'd say if Z was three inches taller he'd be a top 20 draft pick. I'm worried Iggy will leave after this year but maybe that is a good problem to have, we'll see. Go blue beat UNC.
