Tarik Black out indefinitely, Isaac "going to be okay"
Huge bummer. He's been fun to watch. Next man up, WR depth will be tested.
Harbaugh: Tarik Black is going to be out. Will have surgery. Has crack on the outside of his foot. Not sure if he will be back this seasoon

Harbaugh on Ty Issac: I think he is going to be okay

Couldn't have said it better myself. And, I did. Out loud. In my office.

How did you say it better?

is likely. If he plays in the bowl, does it count for this season or next?
September 18th, 2017 at 12:38 PM ^
Bowl is still this season. So he can't play the bowl game and still get a medical redshirt
September 18th, 2017 at 12:38 PM ^
I don't think he'll be around 5 years.
September 18th, 2017 at 4:29 PM ^
another two then.

I haven't seen DPJ much as a reciever. Has he been stuck behind Black, Crawford, and the older guys on the depth chart? Or is he just not getting the ball sent his way when he's out there?

He did, but they were on screens. We haven't really seen him as a downfield threat yet.
September 18th, 2017 at 12:41 PM ^
This. And our two biggest remaining downfield threats are technically Tight Ends (Gentry and Eubanks). I could see one or both getting moved outside like Funchess though.
September 18th, 2017 at 12:46 PM ^
I wouldn't count on Gentry moving outside. He seems to be one of our better blocking tight ends right now.
September 18th, 2017 at 1:24 PM ^
Agree - keep him where he is. He's improved each game so far.
Eubanks is the easy candidate to move outside, if that was needed. I think Oliver Martin could also get some run.

Air Force was also giving a ton of cushion so I wouldn't call him a screen merchant just yet.
With the injury I bet a dollar we'll see DPJ on a fair amount of deep stuff soon.
September 18th, 2017 at 1:25 PM ^
That's actually a pretty talented receiving corps. Still, that is tough for Tarik.

DPJ didn't come in as polished as some of the other WRs and has a somewhat steeper learning curve at the P5 level despite his incredible athleticism. He was a 9-route extraordinaire at Cass Tech and is just now expanding his route-running capabilities.
September 18th, 2017 at 12:46 PM ^
But he's going to get more run coming up. He's on the field fairly regularly. There were several plays where DPJ had 5 yards of nothing around him, but the ball didn't go his way.
September 18th, 2017 at 12:19 PM ^
That blows. Get well Tarik and great job in your first 3 games.
September 18th, 2017 at 12:21 PM ^
Blows more than a Thai hooker. Anteresting to see what the lineup looks like this weekend what with Crawford's balls dropping
September 18th, 2017 at 1:21 PM ^
tell more about these Thai hookers.

Amazing technique, no?

assuming we will now.

How much better is Nico Collins as a freshman than Mo Ways as a redshirt junior? I don't see the point in burning Collins's redshirt yet.
September 18th, 2017 at 12:25 PM ^
three games in no sense in burning that red shirt. I think DPJ moves into the starting role and picks up the slack. Wouldn't be surprised if they think we have any depth issues to see Harris back to WR.
September 18th, 2017 at 12:59 PM ^
I don't think Harris is going to be the answer. He's probably done with football.
September 18th, 2017 at 1:45 PM ^
Has he been suiting up on Saturdays?
Being from the GR area, this is one player I thought was a can't miss recruit. Best hands I've ever seen at the high school level.
September 18th, 2017 at 2:39 PM ^
as he will be playing basketball for Michigan this season.
September 18th, 2017 at 3:24 PM ^
That's what the rumor is. Can anyone substantiate it?
Has he left football officially?

Eubanks seems to have the most similar skillset to Black from the TE rotation. Wouldn't mind seeing both Eubanks and Gentry out there at the same time.
September 18th, 2017 at 12:37 PM ^
Yes! It could be like when New England had Gronk and Hernandez. Without all the murder of course.
