Jason Forcier back to Michigan possibly?
I had heard he received his release from Stanford. I also had read on another forum that there is a rule which would allow him to transfer and retain a year of eligibility. I obviously have no real knowledge on the subject, so I figured some of you folks might.

He is probably not going to come here.

transfer back to Michigan.
Maybe it would be termed a "reversion" or some such thing and be exempt from the "transfer" regulations.
Like the Mormons, maybe Jason was just on a mission to Palo Alto bringing Christianity to the Cardinal (dammit, this would have been a much better joke if they kept their mascot as the Indians).
Get the lawyers on this!

Why would he come back to Michigan to compete against his brother for the starting job?
I'm pretty sure he's not coming back.

Maybe he just wants to go to school with his brother and be on the same team as him. I know that I always wanted my little brother to be on my team in high school, but he didn't get to High School until I had graduated. Its probably just a bonding thing.

Maybe he wants to quit football and be a grad assistant but be close to his brother.

His transfer from Stanford effectively ends his FBS career. He could transfer to an FCS school and try to have one last shot of glory as a senior, but that seems unlikely.
So...as Brodie mentioned, going to M to be a grad assistant and be close to Tate doesn't seem that farfetched. Also probably unlikely, but not entirely crazy.

is probably the one Ryan Mundy used to transfer to WVU. Since that time the loophole has shrunk, if not closed completely, and the likelihood that Michigan offers a program that Stanford doesn't is fairly improbable.
but at the same time I can't imagine Jason Forcier spending 5-6 years at Michigan and Stanford only to end it by going to some FCS school for a year. Especially if he hasn't already graduated.
So maybe he comes here as a grad assistant.
