Week 2 Ticket Giveaway

Submitted by joegeo on September 4th, 2022 at 10:21 AM

This week's prize: Two pairs of 40 yard line tickets (39 rows up) to the Hawaii game on 9/10.

Story: These season tickets have been in my family since Michigan Stadium opened in the 1920s, when my grandfather attended Michigan. My Dad, also a Michigan alumnus, has attended games since the 1950s. I have gone to games since 1990s, but now I live in New York and only get out to a single game each year. My Dad is now living with Alzheimers, unfortunately, and can no longer attend games. To celebrate my father and fathers in general, I have gifting a game to the mgoblog community each year. This will be my last year doing this, but I'll be doing it the first 4 games.

Requirements and Rules:
1) You attend the game with your father OR you are a father and attend with your kid.
2) If you win, you make a donation to NAMI: The National Alliance on Mental Illness, a cause important to my father and my family. Donate whatever you feel comfortable with.
3) Enter by replying on this thread. Deadline is midnight at the end of Monday, August 29th.
4) One entry per person each week. I ask that past winners not participate.
5) I'll use a random number generator to pick two winners of two tickets each and announce those winners in a new thread Tuesday mornings each week.
6) Winners will have 24 hours to acknowledge their win and claim their prize by emailing me at @jgmartin82 (it's a gmail address, but I don't want to fully type it out).

Sadly my father passed and my son is away at school but I’ll be making a donation to NAMI in honor of your dad.   Great work my friend and wishing you and your dad well.

Great cause. My father worked in the (children's) mental health field, and had season tickets for many years until moving away from Ann Arbor in the 90's.

Living abroad (Asia) for the past couple of decades, I am normally up in the middle of the night trying to find a stream somehow or another. But I will be in SE Michigan this week visiting family. The last game I was able to attend at Michigan Stadium was versus Colorado in 1997, so I am told I really ought to go....

Great cause. I'll throw my hat in the ring, I've been thinking it's time to get my daughter to her first game. She started cheerleading this year, so she's becoming familiar with all things football.

My 6 year old has been die hard for a few years now. It’s rubbing off on the younger two. He says he’s gonna beat Ohio State 10,000-0 when he’s older. This would be our first game together.

I’m in! I’d take my 8 year old son.  He’s playing his first season of tackle football this year.  His first game is Saturday morning, so the night game would be perfect!
