FPS gamer as well. I've been playing Destiny since I stopped playing Halo 4 a little over four years ago. Just checked out Anthem over the last couple of weekends and although it has potential it's very basic at this point. Very little endgame content and no multiplayer component which is too bad since it would be epic with all those Javelins going at it.

I remember meeting Steve Smith in 1983. My buddy and I were walking down State Street headed to Rick's and ran into Steve who was wasted and all too happy to tell us who he was.

IIRC didn't the play by play guys mention, on more than one occasion, Kaleb Wesson's hatred for Michigan? Which he then acted on late in the 2nd half. No fucks given ma'am

I don't know man, the NBA is really a shooters league and that's not really part of Z's skill set but he can drive and launch a pretty rainbow.

I thought this excerpt was interesting:

"Simpson is usually the first to hold his teammates accountable if they sidestep a charge or jog to close out on a shooter. A host of returning starters from last year's Final Four team are quick to join him. For Brazdeikis, it helped that he had peeked at the scouting reports and recruiting sites that pinpointed defense as one of his most glaring weaknesses. He felt he had something to prove."

However, if the author meant this guy will be better than Mattison was in his prime, well i just hope that is not what the author really meant.

I'm more inclined to believe Brian meant that Nua will be better in 5 years than Mattison is now.

01/04/2019 - 12:15pm Why can't we celebrate Frank…

Why can't we celebrate Frank? Because he stole a laptop? The domestic abuse was clearly addressed in the video. It was a big misunderstanding between Frank and his girlfriend about someone in his life she didn't care for. He never raised a hand to her and she says so in the video. This is the same woman who currently lives with him in Seattle as they raise their daughter together.

I think Frank's a great guy and an asset to his team and his family. I'm so glad my Seahawks took a chance on him, clearly they both have benefited from that decision. I think we should celebrate his perseverance and his success.

01/02/2019 - 11:35am Being down Bush and Gary on…

Being down Bush and Gary on D and then losing Dwumfour and Gill in the first half to injury makes it really tough to compete with a team like Florida.

01/02/2019 - 9:42am Being critical of the OSU…

Being critical of the OSU loss is fine but I can't believe there are people on this board that honestly thought that this team would beat Florida after we lose 3 key starters to the NFL draft and 2 more to injury in the first half. That's a lot of talent to replace on a team that doesn't have a lot of depth.

12/31/2018 - 9:00am Don't get me wrong I love…

Don't get me wrong I love Simpson and the attitude he brings but with a stat line like that Irving would destroy him.

I guess I just wish Simpson was a little more consistent with his scoring. He's had 9 games this year with single digit scoring and of those nine 6 were 5 points or less, with one being a 0 (Holy Cross??). I'd be more comfortable with him in the 5-10 point range more consistently.

12/31/2018 - 8:44am Did you honestly think that…

Did you honestly think that losing Higdon, Gary and Bush to the NFL and then Gil and Dwumfour to injuries in the first half was going to translate to a win over Florida???

We don't have that kind of depth yet.

I'd go upstream a little further. We had the amazing misfortune of Lee Bollinger hiring Bill Martin and Mary Sue Coleman hiring Dave Brandon as AD's.

12/13/2018 - 12:01pm Isiah Hole's Locked On…

Isiah Hole's Locked On Wolverines podcast is saying this as well. He says that Harbaugh going to ESPN to get on record that he's not leaving UM happened when it did for a reason.

https://wolverineswire.com/2018/12/13/locked-on-wolverines-podcast-daxton-hill-michigan-football-questions/

Reading between the lines it looks like someone...*Bama* *cough* *cough*...used the bogus reports from Carter, et al to flip Hill forcing Jim to set the record straight on ESPN. Now Hill is stuck between the two schools.

If I was him I'd be pissed at whoever tried to use that BS on him.

Isiah Hole also said DB isn't going anywhere.

12/04/2018 - 3:47pm Comparing Shea to Speight?…

Comparing Shea to Speight? Are you fucking kidding me right now??

In Speight's abbreviated 2017 season (3 games) against the poorest competition on the schedule Speight was 44 for 81 (54.3%) and 581 yards and a QBR of 22.9.

2016 (12 games) Speight was 204 for 331 (61.6%) and 2538 yards and a QBR of 75.1

Patterson was 188 for 289 (65.1%) and 2364 yards and a QBR of 84.1 in 2018.

Speight's passing efficiency 2016-139.8 (2018-126)

Patterson passing efficiency 2018-154.3

Speight was never the same after Iowa and Patterson is even better than pre-Kinnick Speight.

12/04/2018 - 2:33pm This was my thought as well…

This was my thought as well. They knew they should fire him but instead decided to end the relationship in a more "honorable" way with a gentlemen's agreement to part ways after the season. So they suspend him for 3 games to give Day a test run with the intent that once the season is over Meyer will move on.

12/04/2018 - 1:46pm WTF are you talking about??…

WTF are you talking about?? I'm starting to think you're a troll. They won in 2003 and 2011. They were also "competitive" in 2016, 2013, 2006, 2005 and 2001 losing by a combined 20 points.

12/04/2018 - 1:15pm Purdue is significantly…

Purdue is significantly better than perennial Pac12 doormat Oregon State and perennial B1G doormat Rutgers, TCU is clearly not nearly as good as many thought when OSU beat them.

I never said I thought OSU is going to take a "major step back" I said it's possible it may cause recruits and more importantly their parents to hesitate on their decision as he is a bit of an unknown as head coach. If you don't think that's possible then your'e the one who's naive.

12/04/2018 - 11:48am Losing one of the greatest…

Losing one of the greatest coaches in the history of college football (threw up a little in my mouth) has to give any recruit or parent pause unless they're die hard buckeyes. It's not hard to look good against OSU, Rutgers and TCU with the talent they have.

The game is often in the refs hands when it comes to rivalry games that are close and hard fought. However even with Speight's bad choices, Michigan was still in a position to win that game and the refs took it away.

I was referring only to the last and most egregious call and that buckeye loving refs have no business being a part of that game.

As far as I’m concerned he did in 2016. It took a bunch of bucknut refs to pull that one out of the jaws of defeat.

11/30/2018 - 11:47am Our QB was under pressure…

Our QB was under pressure all game and that is clearly an Oline issue. JBB not playing didn't help matters but that doesn't explain away all the protection and blocking issues. However, 39 points should have been enough to beat OSU.  The defense simply couldn't create any pressure upfront. Winovich and Gary had no sacks and no QB pressures. Brian mentioned on the Podcast that M wasn't even blitzing. You give Haskins that kind of time back there and he's going to kill you. Shea could have done the same with that kind of protection.

11/29/2018 - 9:46am Such a glaringly irritating…

Such a glaringly irritating Achilles' heel, 47.8% from the line is really bad. I wish they could get that to a more consistent 70% like they did against Chattanooga. Last night was their worst FT shooting since the first game of the year when they only hit 44.8% from the line. Their best so far was their second game against Holy Cross, they shot an amazing 81% form the line.
