Everyone hates playing in Pullman. It’s brutal to travel to, the weather is weird (snow in September, sudden 50 mph winds), games are played late into the night, teams that stay overnight have to room 70 miles away in Spokane, and the students are notoriously drunk/rowdy.

This does not make Wazzu a great football team, but there’s no question that  they have a huge homefield advantage.

Nothing wrong with All Day IPA if you operate heavy machinery and want to drink at work.

If you are overthinking beer, you probably should be drinking wine.

Doesn’t really matter. A good dewatering system and a membrane could solve it, and while it is done all the time for basements and parking structures, it isn’t unheard of to employ the same system in a stadium. And it isn’t that expensive. The athletic department just chooses to spend their money elsewhere.

There are far too many variations of maize.

For me, the board on the mobile site keeps showing threads about Michigan State

Sure. Heisman winner? Nope.

05/25/2018 - 10:33am Another key...

...to making money is having the luxury of enough money or support to take the risks that are necessary to get large returns. People struggling to pay their rent or medical bills have less opportunity to start a business or deal that will not pay out immediately.

05/25/2018 - 10:29am Not sure it works that way.

Families with wealth are also typically families with social/business networks that have access to wealth.

05/04/2018 - 7:40pm I mean, I’m pretty sure our record...

04/29/2018 - 10:10pm Well...

Because otherwise its hard for me to read that as anything but politics that shouldn't be on this blog.

04/29/2018 - 10:01pm Can't overlook...

...that it was the fact that WW2 was fought in Britain and France that had a large part in America's rise to power. Had their industries and populations not been severly damaged during the war things might be much different globally...

...However, it is hard to know if being in `an exploited but stable British or French colony would be better than being in a self-determined but exploited and unstable former British or French colony.

04/22/2018 - 4:23pm Not blaming you...

...it’s just for both buildings and football there are other metrics besides sales that matter, and it is frustrating when people blame zoning for mediocre buildings when the actual culprit a developer who is singularly interested in short term ROI. A couple crap buildings here or there don’t matter, but when your entire city is made up of build and run building stock it can mess up entire communities for generations.

04/21/2018 - 1:21am Mind...

04/20/2018 - 6:28pm I'm an architect...

...and if anyone is going to blame Ann Arbor's relatively permissive zoning code for inhibiting the quality of their designs they should also remember to tell everyone how much better their projects would be if they could be built somewhere without the unfair and capricious influence of gravity.

This is just a lazy design and very likely a developer that was only interested in minimum code compliance/maximizing square footage.

04/20/2018 - 9:42am Wow.

That is some bad architecting.

04/19/2018 - 11:10pm Because...
