Why are you messaging college kids? Not a good move.
|01/09/2019 - 11:06am||That would actually make…||
That would actually make sense. I've been wondering how Michigan has been able to hold onto Bush Sr this long without offering him an actually coaching job.
|01/08/2019 - 8:50pm||Exactly! I always just feel…||
Exactly! I always just feel whenever his name is thrown out it’s by someone who really doesn’t understand how coaching works.
|01/07/2019 - 10:29am||You would be completely fine…||
You would be completely fine with this if it were Michigan in this situation. Clemson and Alabama are just so much better then everyone else and I cannot fault them for greatness. Me personally, I like seeing these two teams play against each other because its the two best teams.
|01/02/2019 - 10:03am||As for you being tired of…||
As for you being tired of Clemson and Alabama, if it was Michigan in that situation I don’t think you’d be complaining about college football being boring. You’re just not a fan of those teams.
Watching the playoffs I enjoyed the greatness and noticed how much more enjoyable it was to watch those two teams compared to Michigan’s offense.
|01/01/2019 - 11:08pm||He was here for four years,…||
He was here for four years, getting a degree, and people are still complaining here saying he’s not good enough/will wash out of the nfl soon. Well if he sucks so much these people should be happy he’s leaving...

How much film did you watch of him as a qb to make this informed post? I would have been interested to see how he could have developed as a qb. Had to have been better than JOK (no offense to him).
|01/01/2019 - 11:12am||Yeah this take for the 5th…||
Yeah this take for the 5th time or so didn’t need to be posted. Some want to be an apologist for everything he does, others want him fired. You got a thought like this several days after the bowl, it didn’t need it’s own thread.
|12/29/2018 - 5:55pm||I agree with the second part…||
I agree with the second part of what you’re saying. The problem is Harbaugh isn’t going to let some Oc come in and control everything. He’s an offensive guy and wants to be very active in it.
Uptempo, spreading athletes out, and using the qbs legs is all necessary in today’s game.
|12/29/2018 - 5:21pm||I agree. Some are getting…||
I agree. Some are getting mad I posted this but I just want to open the discussion. I think he’s beat up on bad teams. 2016 I think was a good year and came up short. I moved on saying bad luck. But after four...eh this seems to be more of a trend.
Running an outdated offense in today’s game is making it too hard. Even Saban figured that out recently. Time for Michigan to as well.

Need to score, and score big in college football. Game is set up for all sorts of offense advantages, even Don Brown has said hes been frustrated with that because his guys can't do what they used to. If you don't have an elite offense you're screwed.
Look at OK, bad defense but in the playoff with an amazing offense.

Why? I think that this is an honest question to ask. Your opinion, along with some others will be that Michigan cannot get a better coach and thats cool. I just feel with the way he runs offense he is not the guy we were hoping for.

1-9 top 10 ranked teams

Look I know he fixed some things with the team, but did you honestly believe that after year four of Harbaugh we would have 0 wins against OSU, no playoff appearances, beat like this in bowl games, #1 defense giving up 100+ points in the last two games of the season? I didn't think that would be the case, and I don't think thats fair for a coach making the money he does.

|12/26/2018 - 1:45pm||Hahahaha this might be my…||
Hahahaha this might be my favorite worst take on this site. Dude these players owe you nothing. They came here thinking it was the best bet to get high quality coaching & shot to get to the NFL. Lots of them even value the education.
These players spend 3-5 years getting prepped for the next step, 40+ hours a week trying to get better.
You think JBB owes you because you bought a ticket to the Peach Bowl?!? Get outta here with that. Whatever your dream career is/was, if 3 years into college that place called and offered you a huge salary I’m sure you would have dropped out to take the job.
College is all about prepping you for your dream career and life. NFL is that for football players.

Weimy Woodson, my dog/best friend is a Weimaraner and I named her Woodson. I've had her for 5 1/2 years now, and I'm beyond the point now where whenever I hear someone say the name Woodson, I think of her, not the great Michigan football player!
Cool fun note is that my wife is an OSU grad, and when we were getting the pup I was mentioning Michigan names. She was cool with the idea but was shooting down the first few names I mentioned. When I mentioned the name Woodson in jest, she started thinking and said "you know what, I really like that name! Lets do that!"
|12/22/2018 - 1:07pm||39 points is kinda of a silk…||
39 points is kinda of a silk stocking on a pig if you’re honest about it. That end of the 2nd quarter td was a total gift. 99.9% of the time the kickoff returner doesn’t drop it near the sideline on the 4 yard then, and if he does the ball doesn’t stay in bounce to be recovered by the kicking team.
Then several of those points were garbage time points in the fourth when the game was over and it didn’t matter anymore.
I look at that game and realistically see maybe 14-21 points Michigan scored that actually mattered and had a possible impact on the game.
The offense was super conservative. Not wanting to open it up which was a total wrong move. It was frustrating watching the same crap that hadn’t worked the past few weeks, the 3&outs, etc when we all saw how Maryland ripped up OSUs defense.
Top college programs can’t win on clock management and a great defense. You need to have a fast scoring offense that has to spread athletes out. Too many advantages in the game now going to the offense so coaches need to take advantage of that.
|12/20/2018 - 2:28pm||If you don't want him co…||
If you don't want him co-ordinating the offense then what would you like him to do? He's an offensive minded guy. I don't think he wants to be the CEO style coach.
I agree he needs changes, switch to a more spread style, but hes going to be involved in that.

I've developed total shell shock in regards to OSU. I was feeling good the past few weeks, but after seeing how we played yesterday I get that old Han Solo "I got a bad feeling about this..." I can't help but think somehow Urban keeps his unreal magic going and we lose by somewhere between 3-11 points....

If Bama loses to Georgia in the SEC Championship game, Clemson stays undefeated, ND is undefeated, OK is 12-1, and Michigan is 12-1 B10 champ the playoff ranking will look something like this:
Michigan ends up playing OK in some bowl game or something like that. Harbaugh goes on a media rampage and the committee talks about expanding to 8 allowing for all power 5 conference champs and three wild cards.

Peters himself said last year that he "kinda checked out" when he was told he was going to be third string. It was a Buamgardner article that was put out last year. I don't think its totally unfair to be worried about that.

100%. Just like how the committee wanted OSU in the first playoff over TCU. They want Harbaugh and Michigan in. They wanted them in 2016 and if not for one of games (either Iowa or OSU) they would have been in.

That is not true. At the Nebraska game it was never more then 80% full. Nebraska fans whom I was talking to asked if that was normal here. Sadly I told them yes.

The student section didn't look that bad for the Nebraska game but it wasn't good. Nebraska fans in front of me turned around and asked if it was always like that. I've been saying for years its not a good look that the students don't pack the place for all of the games. Only do it for a few games a year.

|10/02/2018 - 8:52pm||But Alabama has moved away…||
But Alabama has moved away from traditional pro style...its like when a reporter told Don Brown his defense wouldn't work in the NFL and his response was "well good thing I coach college".
I think Harbaugh has been stubborn with his offense the past 1.5 years and not adapting as much as he should. I feel like the NFL really forced him into this mold and has had times where he struggles with the college game compared to the NFL. It's something I'm hoping he continues to adapt too but its taking longer then I thought.
|10/02/2018 - 5:12pm||I believe the full on pro…||
I believe the full on pro style offense doesn't work across the board in college because it requires too many moving pieces. You need a good/great offensive line to buy the qb time, the wr needs to run the perfect route, and the qb make the perfect throw, then the wr needs to make the perfect catch. Almost need 11 elite guys running the system.
Theres a reason that even Alabama has moved away from the traditional pro set up. Spreads work, get athletes in space. Not saying it needs to be Rich Rods offense but theres a reason why Harbaughs offense hasn't looked up to par when we need a quick score.

That sounds good, I'll take that please!
No one really knows what he's going to do, but for the most part overall it should be a positive. He came into camp and took the job. The fact that Harbaugh named him the starter over a player who's now been here three years, and a guy who's been here two years is a big deal. Harbaugh has said in the past he'll say the qb battle is over when someone comes in a wins it.
Since he did this with two weeks to go in camp that's a big deal. I imagine we will see more production out of him then we saw last year.
