You are such an asshole, it's ridiculous.  Can you please just go away?  You bring absolutely nothing but negativity to the board.

The absolute worst kind of fan.

05/07/2018 - 12:45pm DJ Carton

Any thoughts on DJ Carton, who I think the staff is also high on?

05/02/2018 - 5:43pm He sits at 6th all-time in hits.

Sixth.  All-time.  And in fewer seasons than anyone else in the top 16.

This alone qualifies him for the Hall of Fame.

As to the other stuff - the "intangibles" - I suppose it can be debated how much they contributed to the 5 championships, but as a Yankee fan, I appreciated that he played hard every day, never made excuses and carried himself with class throughout his career.

What games have you been watching my man?

Bredeson has not done anything yet that would suggest he will come out early next year and certainly not to be drafted in the first two rounds.

have you been watching my man?

04/26/2018 - 2:04am Forgiveness is powerful,

Forgiveness is powerful, but I'm not sure that's what this is about.  As already pointed out, it could just as easily be a way for Dantonio to get him back on the team without shouldering the blame.

What exactly does it mean to "let the team decide"?  Do they take a vote?  Does it have to be unanimous?  Will some players feel pressured to go with the majority despite their personal feelings?

I'm sorry, but it smells like bullshit to me.  The coach needs to take the responsibilty to lead on this.

03/30/2018 - 2:24pm After reading some of the comments here,

After reading some of the comments here, I was expecting to get fired up by the article, I actually thought it was a pretty good piece.  Seems like some folks here are being overly defensive about a perceived slight against Michigan.  I didn't really see it that way.  I also didn't think he was necessarily claiming academic superiority to "big-money" schools, but rather his appreciation for the smaller role that athletics play at (his) smaller school.  Thought it was a mostly fair criticism of the NCAA in general.

03/25/2018 - 12:35am Can't...stop...

reading threads about that game.

So good.

02/26/2018 - 1:47am This nails it in my opinion.

This nails it in my opinion. I'm actually a fan of the Islay style, but for a nice, well balanced introduction to good single malt Scotch, Oban is my favorite. Springbank is solid as well.

01/15/2018 - 9:23pm Long time

It feels like a it's been a long time since we came out on top in a game like this.  Feels good.

01/12/2018 - 7:36pm It's been stated by insiders

It's been stated by insiders on other boards that Partridge already has a DC offer on the table and he's still deciding between staying or taking it.

01/12/2018 - 7:33pm Yeah, I'm sure he conned Jim

Yeah, I'm sure he conned Jim into giving him a job.  Probably knows nothing about football.

And what makes you think the coaches don't also believe he has a lot of talent?

Can we stop with the bullshit speculation in this thread?

12/29/2017 - 2:03am The writing is on the wall?

The writing is on the wall? Are you serious?

12/14/2017 - 3:05am We're pushing hard for him.

We're pushing hard for him. It's between us and ND. I think we get him.

12/01/2017 - 11:15pm I'm not going to dismiss any

I'm not going to dismiss any of these concerns, but I think it's fair to say that the coaches are aware of all these factors and are in a much better position to gauge the level of risk each one brings. If they think Patterson would make the team better, even with the obvious issues it presents, then I'm in.

11/20/2017 - 3:16pm Except that

Except that Michigan can lose the game and the OP still loses his money if Michigan covers.  So not sure this argument makes any sense.

11/15/2017 - 5:05pm Most likely

Most likely is probably Bredeson since they've already played him there for a bit.  None of the other 3 seem particularly well suited for Tackle.

11/13/2017 - 3:12am I'm no expert, but if it was

I'm no expert, but if it was so easy to run the Patriots offense, then why isn't everyone doing it? I wonder if Tom Brady has something to do with it.

11/12/2017 - 12:49pm Why would you guess that he

Why would you guess that he is in the doghouse? Not sure it's fair to Crawford to throw that out there with no information

You do realize that they practice between games, right? Perhaps he re-injured himself then.

11/11/2017 - 1:56pm I believe

I believe it's the 'records of the three tied teams" within the conference.  Out of conference games do not count in this step.

11/08/2017 - 1:32pm Well done.

This is awesome.  Can't wait to see the updated odds posted in Part 3 after this weekend.

11/04/2017 - 2:38pm There was a time

There was a time when this was the correct answer for me, but it's not any longer, and may never be again.  I've grown to hate Penn State and all of their JoePa loving deniers more than perhaps any other program and now root against them in every game, regardless of the season's context.

06/10/2017 - 1:55pm UCLA probably on that list as

UCLA probably on that list as well.

05/19/2017 - 11:59am Wait...

Do you really expect to get all of this done in a single weekend?  Or is this just the list of things you want to get done before football season starts?

03/10/2017 - 2:16pm Love this team

Love this team.

02/03/2017 - 11:50am And then

And then you have someone like Wilson, who Sam says was a silent commit to Michigan for a long time, yet chose another school in the end.  If he had come to Michigan, he would most likely have been saying the same things as Ruiz.

The point being...I think it is often closer in the end than the recruit will let on afterward.  At that point, they are all-in at their chosen school and most probably don't see the value in saying something like: "well, it was really close in the end and I almost committed to that shool down south", especially when talking to a Michigan reporter.

01/31/2017 - 12:22am Not just a shooter.

Not just a shooter.

01/30/2017 - 12:43pm Except that's not what your

Except that's not what your post implied.  It suggests that we're going to come up empty on signing day.  If we get 2 or 3 of them, is that still a "Great Pumpkin" outcome?

01/30/2017 - 12:36pm Based on what?

I seem to recall the last two signing days under Harbaugh turning out pretty well...

01/26/2017 - 1:49pm Just posted this in the Ballz

Just posted this in the Ballz recruiting thread, but it's probably more relevant here.  It looks like Saban's visit was at Solomon's school this morning.

If Partridge and Mattison are going in-home later today, that would be good news.  There was some chatter earlier in the week that neither Georgia nor Alabama would be given another opportunity to visit Solomon in-home and this would seem to back that up...

Just want to point out to the OP that it's Tufele

01/17/2017 - 12:48pm I don't think we are looking

I don't think we are looking to take both, but also not sure why it would have to mean Nico is out.  It's obvious that the staff feels much less confident in Nico than they once did, so getting back in on Martin just makes sense.  I would guess the first to commit now gets the spot.  Hopefully one of them will.

12/22/2016 - 2:49pm Also liking that Texas is not

Also liking that Texas is not included. Not only because of the Herman factor and proximity to home (as others have stated, Norman is just as close), but UT is a much better academic school than OU and compares well to UM in that regard.  Just one more reason to choose the good guys...

12/16/2016 - 2:02pm Uh, yes.  And now I can see

Uh, yes.  And now I can see from this post that I've actually been watching Michigan football since long before you were born.

12/16/2016 - 1:59pm Except that you're already

Except that you're already wrong.  We may not get them, but to say that we have no chance is a ridiculous statement.

12/16/2016 - 1:34pm Really, no chance?  Please

Really, no chance?  Please enlighten us with your inside information.

Do you overreact to everything this way?

Where are you seeing this?

12/16/2016 - 12:51pm Why is it a dumb

Why is it a dumb comment?

Obviously Georgia offers something in Wilson's mind that Michigan doesn't.  From all reports, it seems it may be as simple as him really wanting to play in the SEC.  Perhaps Georgia drove that point home with him on his last visit and he realized that is what his heart has been telling him all along.

We'll never know exactly, but the kid made his choice.  Good luck to him and next man up.

12/16/2016 - 12:42pm No doubt, this hurts, as

No doubt, this hurts, as Wilson has a ton of potential and was likely to lock down an OT spot for Michigan at some point, but all of this talk about how this will impact next year seems to be off-base.  I'm not an expert by any means, but most of the evalutations I've read describe Wilson as pretty raw and needing a bit of work before being ready to start.  He may be college-ready in size, but O-line requires a lot more than that.

Again, this definitely hurts, but more for the future O-line than for next year (at least IMO).

12/15/2016 - 11:56pm Let's just go all the

Let's just go all the way...sub Willie Gay for the third corner and it couldn't get any better.

12/15/2016 - 3:39pm Huh?

Huh?

12/14/2016 - 2:00pm Except Solomon isn't

Good point, except Solomon isn't currently committed to Georgia, so not exactly the same as taking Najee from Bama.

12/12/2016 - 1:58pm I think we may be seeing why

I think we may be seeing why that was the case.  Aside from most of these kids being quiet recruits in general, it appears that perhaps there was a coordinated effort to keep the chatter to a minimum this weekend, so that a number these recruits could line up and make their own announcements in the next two weeks.

Purely speculation on my part, but I'm obviously not alone.

12/12/2016 - 12:16pm Not sure what you were

Not sure what you were expecting, but it seems to me the news from this weekend may end up looking pretty good.  As others have said, it's unlikely than any of these visitors was gonig to announce their commitment while on campus.

Tarik Black - surprise visitor who just announced his commitment date will be this Wed.  Seems like a good thing to me.

DPJ - choosing to ignore the (likely) false rumor and see an announced commitment date for this Thurs as a good thing.

Najee - reports are that the visit went very well and Michigan feels good about their chances.  Can't ask for much more than that at this point.  No way he filps from Bama without talking to them first.

Singleton - still going through the process, but would be a surprise if he ended up anywhere else.  FWIW, a Clemson (biggest presumed threat) insider just ballz'd him to Michigan this morning.

DIB - will be Blue in the end.

11/29/2016 - 6:04pm Interesting list.
But Malzone

Interesting list.

But Malzone was a 2015 recruit.  How is he a 3yr grad?

And why is Kareem Walker on this list?  Academics still?

11/01/2016 - 1:47pm Responding to the OP, I still

Responding to the OP, I still think Bama's resume would be a little more impressive.
