To be fair to Chase's level of effort, has your dating history ever included cold calling someone as famous as Madonna's daughter?
I'd say he is above judgment on that fact alone.
He does have his full complement of testicles, in my book.

I thought BCBS was way off this year, compared to last year's vintage.
I certainly didn't go hunting for bottles to stockpile this time around.

|01/03/2019 - 3:56am||Last night in the Tampa area…||
Last night in the Tampa area, so headed over to Angry Chair and Cigar City to find out about their stouts.
Cigar City: fine and all, but more hype than reality. Kind of what I expected, especially after a few years of big corporate ownership. Marshal Zhukov's is solid --- have had that before. Tried Hunahpu's for the first time ... not bad, but not special. They had a collaboration with 3 Sons called Across the Alley or something like that. Very worthwhile.
But Angry Chair ... whooo, boy. That is my speed. If you are a stout lover and have time to swing by there, I don't think you'll be disappointed (other than them not selling the stouts in any to-go format). These guys collaborate a lot, but whatever they are doing they are nailing it. Multilayered is a truly special Imperial Stout, and worth the trip (the weird parking headaches, etc) alone. They also had a scotch barrel aged Imperial Stout called Siberian Panther, and that was fun as well.
I tipped my cap to those guys on the way out the door in a "that's good s___, Jed" level of appreciation. Would weigh 15+ lbs more if those dudes were up in my neck of the woods.

Odds remain in favor of Clemson, but Michigan is not out. At least not as of a couple of days ago.
He's very much been planning to take his time with this, no matter what people want to speculate on the internet.

Good points, except The Horror came in the middle of the colossal de-pantsing of our program. It didn't happen in isolation from the 1v2 MvOSU game, the beating Petey C laid on us in the following Rose Bowl, and the crushing humiliation in the Big House courtesy of Dennis Dixon and the Ducks.
We could all wish it was a one-off, but it wasn't.

With reverent head nods to the trolling of Wisconsin and PSU over the stadium speakers this season as highly entertaining departures from tradition, is there any chance the scoreboard operator could dial up a close-in shot of Tom sitting in the stands this Saturday?
If they felt particularly enterprising, those in charge could splice in a mini highlight reel of Shea's big moments and overlay "Mars, Bringer of War" as the soundtrack.

Yes. But Oladipo took it to him down the stretch. Ripped him and took it the other way for a dunk to start the crunch time run that put the Knicks away.
Read the NY Post's recap -- pretty harsh color commentary on THJ's night. (Basically said "nice game kid, but you just got shown what it takes to be a real star.")
Not sure that's entirely fair -- he isn't supposed to be a one man band. But that's the NY environment he signed up for.

Regardless of where you stand on his lack of repentance, can we all agree to at least NOT BOO him when he's introduced?
There will be key recruits there, with their families. They tend to take note of such things, and generally don't have all the subtleties in mind when they hear boos.

Not rumors -- he's publicly said he wants to play D.
And it isn't specifically because he likes to hit. He said it's because he is aware of the half-life of a RB in the NFL.

Sat next to him in Crisler for a Fab Five game. This was in the era where it was general seating for students. Was a really nice guy. I knew who he was, and he was very chill talking about being a draft pick.
This was just weeks before he headed out to the Yankees.

So, in hindsight, said reprimand was totally worth it.

That's just a losing argument.
You don't get to pick your draft team. And they pay you. And you can just drive to/from practice -- no walking to class, parties, etc.
The winning argument is this: nobody loves the long winter, but it isn't THAT big of a deal. It just isn't. Look at all the FL, GA and even Alabama kids ... they're surviving. Focus instead on the stuff that matters -- you're making a choice that will impact the rest of your life.

This is exactly right.
Clemson has its strengths. In addition to the weather, the winning (tracking toward fourth straight playoffs, right?) and the proximity, they have Dabo and the overtly Christian culture that he will immediately feel comfortable with.
Michigan has a truly world class University that looks and feels it; Ann Arbor, which is a special, special college town (and it shows, esp on game day); the iconic stadium/helmets/fight song/etc that are legendary elements of the entire sport; a culture that will challenge his horizons/grow him into a man; a sense in his mind that it is all special and he fits here ... he knows this in his bones, IMO.

Totally agree. Someone needs to slip something into Devin Bush's water bottle to chill him out before he comes out all tweaked up to take someone's head off. A targeting out of him would be real trouble. He's been incredible this year, but he has been yapping about the MSU game for months now.
If he plays under control, he could very well dominate this game. Their OLs aren't nearly good enough to keep him off their playmakers.

OSU-Minn was at noon, so people definitely chose it over UF-Vandy. Kind of a no-brainer there, because Vandy....
But I wouldn't say it was 90-10 over UGa-LSU, because that was the 3:30 game.
Personally, I would've been watching UGa-LSU primarily over the other 3:30 games (flipping back and forth to MSU/PSU) ... were I not out tailgating in the greatest college town in America at that time!

Quavaris is injured, and has been since game one.
He has some M-friendly voices around him, but none are the type to overtly push him toward M.
My read is that Clemson is very much a more realistic threat to M than Tennessee, for a number of reasons (and no, I'm not making a veiled reference to payoffs). But he's a bright, engaging, grounded young man who took notice of just how well he fits in Ann Arbor. So don't throw in the towel to Clemson just yet.

I get the general love for Bush (he's great), but the idea that your AA Mike is not partially culpable on 3rd and 18 QB draw up the gut for 22 that goes right past him is ludicrous. Yes there was a blocker out on him ... first team AA Mike is supposed to diagnose that and do a LOT better than watch the QB blow by. That was, to me, perhaps the most gutting moment in the game.
Brian's UFRs are one of the very best things on all of the internet. But the sacred cow thing that taints the scoring sometimes is a bit of a shame.

I often enjoy showing first-time game day visitors the Law Quad -- not too far from the Stadium (compared to many other parts of campus) and very memorable.
The steps of the Union are pretty cool ... there's a sign indicating where JFK gave a speech that was to be the spark that ignited the launch of the Peace Corps. (Love it or hate it, that's noteworthy.)
The Diag is worth seeing as the heart of one of America's great college campuses, especially if it's a pretty Fall day.
I'd recommend Ann Arbor Golf & Outing for parking. Classic U-M golf course tailgate site.

But isn't that QB losing his go-to TE and his best WR (with second-best suspended the first two games)?
They aren't deep with talented pass catchers there. I think our secondary can run in their hip pockets, unless they pull a high end replacement for Fumagalli out of their rears. (They do that with OLs, not so much the WRs/TEs.)

Well, I could see that young freshman maybe having the blahs now and then. Human nature.
I'm going with that until there is reliable word otherwise.

Curious tradeoff, especially if your shot at the league is indeed being a later bloomer.
