Do you no longer get points for posting comments? I've posted several comments this week, but my points have stayed static at 195.

Same here. Using Chrome, haven't seen any place to up- or down-vote any posts/comments.

Also, maybe I'm getting downvoted (and of course can't see it), but I've posted a few comments over the past week and my MGoPoints have stayed static at 195. Do you no longer get points for commenting?
|06/16/2018 - 12:40pm||Not being able to vote on…||
Not being able to vote on any comments. Maybe I no longer have enough points, but there's no place to up- or down-vote anything. And if it's true that I no longer have enough points, how about some communication of that new policy?
Also, the designer has somehow managed to make the site look cheaper.
|06/15/2018 - 3:49pm||I've had DirecTV for 15+…||
I've had DirecTV for 15+ years, the last 4 of which in Chicago (previously LA, where weather is a quaint concept). I'd say I lose signal once or twice a year in Chicago due to bad thunderstorms (never snow). The chance of that happening exactly during a Michigan game are slim to none.
I don't think you can beat DirecTV for overall sports programming, especially if you want Sunday Ticket and/or want out-of-market regional stuff.
For many years, DirecTV had a decisive edge over Dish in terms of technology and HD/4K coverage, but I think that's flipped the past few years, especially with Dish's Hopper (essentially a built-in Slingbox for watching your DVR remotely). I've got a separate Slingbox, so this hasn't been enough to entice me to switch.

Old, without a doubt.

I had the same issue. I went through the process of resetting my password, but it was annoying.

I don't even understand how to vote. Do you need to have a certain number of points now? I see nothing to vote.
|06/09/2018 - 3:10pm||Also, is it just me, but I…||
Also, is it just me, but I don't even see a place to vote up or down on either OPs or comments. Nothing.

Pretty annoying that you have to scroll down when you click to read more of an article. Used to take you to your place (at "the jump").

Need to be re-vetted. TheKocker on both discord and Reddit.
|05/13/2018 - 11:00pm||Friday||
Pretty sure it's Friday at Noon ET on ESPN2.

Why would this get downvoted?

I need orders!

Just signed up, attacked UMass. Took a while to figure out how to set my flair. Keep the updates coming here; I follow orders well.
|04/12/2018 - 1:19pm||Thanks||
You guys are right, the upvotes to my comment counted. Guess I'll have to comment more in other people's threads. Seems weird not to count OP votes, since it's the best way to police inappropriate or irrelevant threads, and the OP gets by far the most views. Oh well. Thanks.
|04/12/2018 - 12:34pm||Votes||
This is wildly off-topic, but since I'm the OP...
Does anyone know why I wouldn't get points for upvotes? When I posted this topic, I had 160. I've since gotten 11 upvotes, and I'm still at 160. (Should go up when I post this comment, of course.)
This has been the case since I started creating Forum topics. Each time I create a topic I get the points for creating it, but no points for the upvotes.
At the risk of sounding like a petty, desperate vote-collecter, anyone know why this might be? I emailed Brian a while back about this, but no response.
|04/05/2018 - 11:27am||State||
MSU is 35th, in case anyone cares.
EMU is 72nd.
CMU is 99th.
WMU is 157th.
|03/22/2018 - 2:07pm||Stanford + Cup History||
The first year of the Cup (1993-94), Stanford came in 2nd. North Carolina was 1st that year, Michigan 9th. Stanford has finished 1st every single year since.
Michigan's highest finish was 2nd in 2003-04, and we've finished 3rd a few times (1999-00, 2007-08, 2015-16). Our worst finish was 25th in 2009-10.
If you total up all points since that inaugural 93-94 season (which has issues, because the scoring has changed slightly over the years, so doing it this way would weight some years more heavily), Michigan is 5th overall. Yes, I have done this. I have a spreadsheet that compiles everyone's points each year, because I want to punch my ticket to nerd heaven when I die.
The overall top 10 are:
4. North Carolina
8. Ohio State
9. Penn State
36. Michigan State
|03/16/2018 - 5:57pm||I'm in Chicago with DirecTV,||
I'm in Chicago with DirecTV, and it's just the straight up ND game, no switching around at all. Super disappointing. Meanwhile mgoblue.com says all over the place that it's "live on ESPN2," no qualifiers. LIES!
|03/16/2018 - 5:46pm||TV||
WTF is "whip around coverage"? I thought this game was on ESPN2, but I'm getting the Notre Dame game.
|02/08/2018 - 12:43pm||Great job!||
Always appreciate these previews! Should be a promising season, and fun to watch with all the new faces. Thanks for the info!
|01/17/2018 - 3:34pm||I'll be there!||
Got my ticket a couple weeks ago. Section 111, Row CC, just a couple rows directly behind the Visitors bench. Maybe I can insert myself into the huddles.
Not looking forward to that drive from the city, though. Wish it was at 7 or 8.
|12/29/2017 - 5:07pm||Just don't listen.||
Isn't that a boycott?
|11/24/2017 - 11:17am||Redacted||
why is there no ability to delete your own comments?

Are we 7-5? Did I miss the second half of the season already? Damn.

I was afraid at first, but the functionality has all been retained. Doesn't seem cluttered, which was my main fear. Simple is always better.
|05/24/2017 - 4:50pm||As someone who...||
works for Walgreens, I fully support this thread. Unfortunately, I have no upvoting powers. So consider this a moral upvote.
And don't forget to watch the special on NBC tomorrow night. There'll be a Love Actually reunion, for those of you into that sort of thing...
|05/07/2017 - 10:17am||Hmmm||
There's a faint whiff of sexism in this and some of the other replies here. By "laughing at a young college player," I assume you mean "laughing at a girl who, doggone it, is trying her little heart out!"
Would you have a problem chuckling at a Rutgers baseball or football player who made a mistake during a game? I highly doubt it. As someone else pointed out, these are all D1 athletes who have put themselves on the B1G stage, on TV, under the lights (or not).
P.S. This is also why I (and others) can't stand when softball game recaps use first names.
|03/03/2017 - 10:55am||Disappointing||
So there are only 5 softball games on actual television? Seems really low to me. I seem to recall watching a lot more in seasons past.
|06/09/2016 - 7:04pm||Los Angeles||
This could be apocryphal, but I lived in LA for 15 years and heard a couple times that LA always submits a kind of "if necessary" bid to the USOC/IOC. They claim that LA can be ready to host the Summer Games on short notice if something goes wrong with the host city. I don't think two months notice is what they have in mind, but they certainly have all the necessary venues - basically everything from the '84 games plus many new ones.

|06/16/2015 - 4:01pm||Norco||
You failed to mention that Norco also produced former M softball slapper Nicole Sappingfield. I knew the name sounded familiar...
|05/22/2015 - 4:44pm||Garish||
I think we need to spray more block-Ms on every surface. Wouldn't want the student-athletes forgetting where they are...
|05/18/2015 - 11:41am||Game 3||
Don't forget the 'if necessary' Game 3, which will be right after Game 2 at 9pm ET on ESPN. Hopefully it isn't necessary.
|05/17/2015 - 4:02pm||Pitt||
This is the Pitt effect. If the game was Michigan-Cal, as everyone expected, they'd be showing it on ESPNU. Oh well...
