Most people would have said yes in light of all the off field issues that sprung up last year and the school's culture of covering up... But people say all sorts of bullshit when they're in a good mood and want to appear magnanimous.

Yes he should be fired. Him and Izzo both. Losing is not a substitute for justice.

I was always pretty skeptical of the guy. Not just because his hit rate was less than that of a true insider, but it always was a little weird that the guy seemed to be ostensibly hurting the program (leaking "insider" info) for internet respect. Then there were the people who always made way too big of a deal of any post he made or opinion he had. Not his fault there though.

But contradicting yourself in 24 hrs is pretty weird, especially if he he isn't at least putting some sort of explanation up.

But what do I know, I tend to have a problem with most of the poeple that post here.

09/26/2018 - 11:29pm Chris Illitch, until proven…

Chris Illitch, until proven otherwise, should be considered an F- owner. Bosses son. He's not capable. He might not be financially capable. I don't endorse (or otherwise) Gilbert, but I am very hopeful that Illitch will sell the team.

I think Sr was an A+ owner. Whoever the someone was who mentioned the theory he (MI) could only afford to well fund 1 of the 2 franchises at a time was very wrong. If the Tigers showed a pule in the 90's I think for sure he would have funded both.

I also believe Dombrowski, whom I view in the same light as Beilein (unimpeachable), as not wanting to work for the kid. Of all the theories about the ending of his tenure, that one is the most easilly believable. Avila isn't a cutthroat who stole his boss's job, nor did MI lose patience with perhaps the best GM in baseball of the last 30 years.

Of course, you being a black Trump voter with kids clearly wouldn't give a shit about the wellbeing f those around them.

In short, I don't care about your opinion, mate.

This board is a cesspool. I've thought so for years now. Hate threads like this where I have to actually read comments to find out if there is any info.

There is a significant differance between being 'TMZ of the news world' (I don't entirely disagree), and being 'Fake News', 'the lying press', and 'the enemy of the people'.

Honestly, good riddance if you do. I think the no poticis rule *here* is good, but if you are sitting on the fence these days you are not fulfilling an essential duty of your citizenship.

“The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.”—Dante Alighieri

These days paying attention to the news is more important than ever. "Extremely moderate" (whatever that means) is irrellivant.

I dislike fireworks, despise neighborhood fireworks, and think people who don’t agree are a little light on the blast powder, so to speak.

06/23/2018 - 12:20am Completely agreed with John…

Completely agreed with John's solo, although I love the best of of his solo. He did release some true turds. Paul gets slaughtered most for his solo career. I've never really delved into it, but I always suggest digging a little deeper into John's to defend Paul. I am sure its got plenty of lows, but Paul's good stuff is still good. All Things Must Pass is easily the best solo work, followed closely by Plastic Yono Band.

The 80s and forever would be different had John lived. Not just musically, either, which again is why I loved him. He was a strongly contradictory figure, misogynistc, hateful in his lyrics (the guy wrote, or borrowed, "I'd rather see you dead little girl, than to be with another man", and "Nothing you can do, but you can learn how to be you in time, It's easy". The #metoo woulnd't have a clue what to do with John.

The reason I liked John and George was their counterculture message was catnip to a young me. Not that I'm turning that way, but I viewed Paul as too conservative to be my idol. When John died, the MC in the ER (seriously?) played all my loving. How incredible is that? Still, the greatness in the Beatles is a true joy they bring us. And I think that's Paul, more than anyone else.

06/22/2018 - 10:56pm "One of the best things I…

"One of the best things I have ever seen."

Seconded. I love going on a Beatles kick every few years, and you just jump started one.

Growing up John or George were always my Beatles. The older I get the more of a Paul guy I become. All are great, and all had their share of highs and lows post Beatles, but Paul more than the others had the carefree lightness that I think really make the Beatles stand out from the their classic rock contemporaries.

I'm way long Higdon. I've seen Shea get some very light Heisman consideration, I think Higdon is much likelier. Huge second half last year, we got pretty good at running the ball, Harbaugh is run first, Shea opens up the run, he is putting in the work this offseason.

All the doom and gloomers about recruit need to consider the anxt we felt when Weber went OSU because Harbaugh wanted Higdon. I'll take Higdon all day and not think twice.

This is the second meeting w/ club. First was for Middlesex and I was really glad to have some people to talk about the book afterwards. I loved the book and it was fun reliving it with other people. Its kind of a drag to read a book and then have no one to talk to unless you read it with someone or read it through a recommendation.

Goldfinch will be good because I assume most people will have liked it and can tell me what I missed. No way I would recommend this book to someone else right now, but maybe tomorrow someone will have changed my mind.

As for the pace. I love reading outside with a good brew. Most relaxing thing you can do. I even play some relaxing music, stuff like Tibetan singing bowl music even.

I joined a book club and we meet this week to discuss Goldfinch.

For me, reading 800 pages in a month is a ton. Reading 800 pages of a book you find 2/3 a slug is even tougher.

Well written, I'd probably say so. Engaging characters, pretty subjective. Sad story - I would say unrelentingly negative. First this person dies, then that person, than that persons dad, then another person, oh and school is hard, then he might have to go live with terrible people. On and on and on.

I'm looking forward to hearing what the book club has to say. I hate to be the guy who comes in just to rip it apart but I very well may be.

Have you ever been the best on a bad team? Good but can't win because of inferior talent. Its hard not to be consumed with frustration. I have no idea how he didnt throw a punch at JR.

He needs to leave 'the Land' ASAP. Everyone says Houston, I think Philly would be a better fit. I imagine they have the cash.

3 biggest factors I see:

Gilbert, bankruptcy, the worst publicc officials (Kilpatrick, Conyers) being removed.

Its incredible going back to even drive down Woodward. Never thought I'd see something like this again, and it seems like its got momentum of its own.

They even turned the old ballpark in a pretty legit softball field.

Is there some word out about Matthews? seems like its assumed he's gone. Unless he's told people, I'd say 90% chance he comes back.

I never bought the 'Ward is gone' hype. I don't care how much he hates Izzo, transferring / declaring / Europe were terrible options compared to being a featured player at MSU. Maybe he would have left if he had to decide in March, but you cool down quite a bit  in 3 months.

05/28/2018 - 11:47am 2018 defense is as good or

2018 defense is as good or better at  8 or 9 /11 spots I would say.

My expectation is DEs are the best I've ever seen at Michigan. LB core should much better fit for Brown.

Also, this is Brown's 3rd year vs his first year. I recall times in 2016 where half the defense was behind the QB. They flew around, but they weren't as sound as even last year. This year, they'll have the talent, depth, and now experience that all time great defenses have.

I expect another gear from this defense that we've seen in 20 years.

Offense, I think this is the best RB grou we've had in forever.

Last year WR play was bad, its a huge wild card this year. With better blocking and ceartainly better QB play, it could be below average to spectacular. I know DPJ is going to make a huge leap, but did Black develop at all? what about the other guys in his class. Should we forget about Mcdoom?

Obviously QB play is murky, but as we know backup QB is important and this year we'll have a good one.

Punter is a problem. Hate wasting opportunities for our D with crap punts.
