our issue late in…

our issue late in the season was D-Line depth - too many guys banged up and unlike OSU which can overcome the loss of Bosa we aren't that deep yet

but we are getting there - we are solid with our starters, just need depth now

01/04/2019 - 8:23pm not paywalled so.....

not paywalled is the Michigan paragraph - the rest is good reading too

No school’s future players had a better week than Michigan’s. Defensive lineman

Mazi Smith

started the week hot and maintained that level of production in each practice leading into the game. Offensive lineman

Trente Jones

 also spent the week turning heads and looking the type of player that could help a beleaguered Wolverines’ offensive line the moment he gets to campus. No player helped his stock more than Jones, who out-played his ranking from wire to wire. Things began to click for

Quinten Johnson

 late in the week, as he improved with each passing workout.

I think you just named all the interior DL on the roster

01/01/2019 - 5:52pm Hinton as well

Hinton as well

01/01/2019 - 5:52pm Mazi, Hinton, Dwumfour, Kemp…

Mazi, Hinton, Dwumfour, Kemp and Jeter should allow us to be fine on the D-Line interior, just not much depth - any of the SDE's able to slide inside?

01/01/2019 - 12:53pm U thunk Mazi, Dax, Zach and…

I thunk Mazi, Dax, Zach and Hinton are all big time contributors in 2019

12/30/2018 - 11:36am Hinton will play too - at…

Hinton will play too - at least 5 guys in the mix

12/29/2018 - 7:49pm we are almost at the point…

we are almost at the point of just re-loading on defense

tough today without 2 1st round picks on defense

the OL needs to get to that level

RB - Zach replaces Karan, we'll be fine there

12/29/2018 - 5:25pm 2015 really doesn't count

2015 really doesn't count

the 2016 class will be seniors

12/28/2018 - 8:40pm…

link that works

12/28/2018 - 11:22am MTSU was a bowl team this…

MTSU was a bowl team this year

12/27/2018 - 11:39am the first year or two was…

the first year or two was built by Harbaugh - it is starting to slide a little now that it is only Shaw - we'll see how it goes from here

12/26/2018 - 11:39am probably wants to be fully…

probably wants to be fully recovered for the NFL evaluators

12/22/2018 - 1:02pm the top 16 of our class has…

the top 16 of our class has a slightly higher average than the top 16 of their class

basically, the tops ends are close, and we took added 3-stars because we have room to take them

12/21/2018 - 2:12pm can she play tackle?

can she play tackle?

what's her SPARQ score?

12/20/2018 - 8:58pm well done!

well done!

12/19/2018 - 2:06pm MSU has a ceiling based on…

MSU has a ceiling based on their talent - this conference and division is getting tougher and deeper and tougher to win finishing 6th or 7th in the conference in recruiting

12/19/2018 - 1:49pm Michigan's current average…

Michigan's current average in the 247 composite = .9037

Top 15 recruits average .9289, OSU's 15 man class averages .9257

Top 18 recruits average .9224, PSU's 18 man class averages .9212

so basically we have the best class currently, plus took additional lottery tickets with some 3-stars that will work themselves out one way or another

12/19/2018 - 10:46am I have Uche, Long and Kemp…

I have Uche, Long and Kemp as having used a red-shirt, but I could be wrong, but otherwise my numbers match yours so yeah!

12/19/2018 - 10:14am at this moment in time, it…

at this moment in time, it looks like:

5th years = 4

Seniors = 18

Juniors = 22

Sophomores = 20

Freshman = 27

total = 91

(RS's are just included with their year except the 5th years)

only counts Bush and Gary's departures for the draft

I would guess Ulizio and R. Jones don't get 5th years and Peters transfers - that gets us to the needed 88 which is where we need to be after signing day, 85 by fall camp(?)

12/19/2018 - 9:54am not as many as you would…

not as many as you would think

I also don't think Ulizio and R. Jones get a 5th year

12/18/2018 - 10:56pm Hudson looks like he was…

Hudson looks like he was passed by Stueber which pissed him off and led to his transfer

12/18/2018 - 9:30pm we'll have a solid class -…

we'll have a solid class - could have been special, but will still fill positions of need - excited for Zach at RB

12/18/2018 - 9:29pm good because many of those…

good because many of those that didn't pan out left rather than stay and keep us from taking more recruits

stars matter, as do taking lots of recruits, keeping those that work out and moving on from those who don't
