Came to see if a certain someone had come to complain. Not sure if I'm happy or disappointed they haven't...

05/29/2018 - 2:04pm We played the bascially the

We played the bascially the same schedule in conference in 2016 and only lost to osu. MSU and UW will probably be as good as they were that year while PSU should be better. Osu likely won't be better than they were that year and could be slightly worse since their QB is mostly an unknown.

05/24/2018 - 9:31pm Shae doesn’t need to be

Shae doesn’t need to be great. The team around the QB will be as good the 2016 team so if Shae is as good as 2016 Speight the floor should be 9 not counting the bowl game. Shae being great would mean this team should finish no lower than 5 like the Athlon poll. The 2016 team played the same home/away schedule against the other top teams in the conference. The only difference is ND.

05/13/2018 - 1:40pm Love how the media and other

Love how the media and other coaches have taken the disorganization and dysfunction from 1 season and acted like it’s been going on his entire tenure. They’ve conveniently forgotten what the team looked like Harbaughs first 2 years but next should be a reminder. Did the team win every game those 2 years or always look great? No. But that was about talent not the issues we saw last season. Last year was messy but it’s pretty much the only messy year of the guys career. The quotes are valid for one of harbaughs seasons last year only and I’m fairly certain next year no matter the W-L record the team won’t have the dysfunction it had last season.

01/12/2018 - 7:56am Right after the last play of

Right after the last play of the NC the announcers did a great breakdown of how Tua late looked on the safety of “sold with his eyes” he was throwing one way then threw another. Throughtout the season announcers also frequently broke down when JOK did not sell play with his eyes and instead stared his receivers down. It’s a very similar concept for WR/TE

01/08/2018 - 11:57pm Smart Blew It

He fucked up that last series. Needed to run on first. Then pass if it made sense. 3 passes left too much time for Bama. Georgia had the ball with 3 minutes and never forced bama to use a single timeout either.

01/08/2018 - 11:49pm Run the ball

Can't believe Georgia just threw it 3 times. So much time left

10/22/2017 - 3:10pm The Comparisons

The comparisons to the rest of the top 4 in our division are silly. Some people are just looking for reasons to be more angry.

MSU: 1) While they're young this year they are still returning their starting QB who is mobile which can make up for a young/inexperienced line, and an incredibly productive back in Scott. 2) If they can go from 3-9 last year to 1-2 loss team this year with less talent than us there is no reason we can't have a similar turn around.

PSU: 1) When they were young last year they backed into the championship game. 2) and they returned Barkely Gisecki and Godwin who were good enough last year to make up for their other offensive youth/inexperience. Will be really interesting to see what Franklin and possibly Moorehead do next year without Barkley and Gisecki. I think they take a step back because they'll be looking to find an playmakers and its unlikely anyone will be as good as Barkley and maybe not even as good as Gisecki.

OSU: So many things. 1) Their recruiting has been great for years in large part because they are the only P5 school in one of the most talent rich states in the country. Florida, Georgia, TX, and California all have multiple in state programs to compete for their talent. OSU has no competition which means their year to year consistency floor is higher than anyone else. Thats why they've been good for so long. 2) While they were young last year their playmakers weren't young. Barret was basically a 3rd year starter. Samuels was eligible to be drafted. In Barrett's first few years when he was young they had Elliot, a generational talent a running back, and many recievers who were drafted in that same year.

UM had 0 returning playmakers to mitigate their youth. None of those other teams suffered from that. They all returned QBs WRs or RBs who were experienced playmakers. UM returned none of that in addition to being young.

Also people shouldn't take their anger about the program being terrible "since the Carr years" out on Harbaugh. He's been here 2.5 seasons so blaming him for 10-13 years of losses doesn't even make sense. Yes its been bad that long but JH has been here for 2.5 seasons and looked at by themselves they are more than fine. But realize the B10 is now the most competitive conference in football. This means that PSU and UM won't get to have the years OSU and MSU got to have while the conference was shit. There are now 3 other good teams in our division. OSU and MSU had to really only worry about each other. With 4 good teams 1 loss seasons will be rare and 2 loss teams will still be very good teams.

First 2 years of the divisions resurgence:

2015

MSU: 3-0 v rest of top 4 (They get blown out against alabama cus they really should've been 1-2 with losses to us and OSU)

OSU: 2-1 v rest of top 4 (Arguably one of the best college football teams in the modern era and they still lost a game to one of the top 4. This was also really before UM and PSU really took off.)

UM: 1-2 v rest of top 4

PSU: 0-3 v rest of top 4

2016

MSU: 0-3 v rest of top 4

PSU: 2-1 v rest of top 4

OSU: 2-1 v rest of top 4

UM: 2-1 v rest of top 4

As long as this division remains this competitive don't expect undefeated seasons from anyone. Will be lots of canabalizing each other before the playoffs.

10/11/2017 - 10:07am Or...there was a freshman WR

Or...there was a freshman WR who was doing well and he got hurt??? If 1 out of the 3/4 highly touted freshman WRs that were brought in is playing well thats a pretty good success rate. I think some people are searching for reasons to be pissy.

09/21/2017 - 12:59pm I know the view of UF is

I know the view of UF is skewed by them having only played one game since playing UM but do people really think Purdue is that much better than them??? Or even as good? I think Purdue is much improved from last year and is good enough to be dangerous but I'm not sure they've proved they're top 25 good. Against each team they played they passed for fewer yards than almost every one of that team's other opponents:

Purdue 273 passing yards v Mizz

Mizz St 353 passing yards v Mizz

SC 187 passing yards v Mizz

Purdue 295 passing yards v Ohio

Kansas 343 passing yards v Ohio 343 (KU was on the road while Purdue was at home)

Hampton 67 passing yards v Ohio

Purdue 293 passing yards v Louisville

UNC 384 passing yards v Louisville

Clemson 316 passing yards v Louisville

UM's defense is better Louisville and Ohio by a huge margin. UM is 2nd in S&P+ and Louisville is 39th while Ohio is 69th. They aren't even in the same league as UM and Purdue wasn't even the biggest challenges those defenses faced.

UF was/is dysfunctional but I don't buy that Purdue is going to roll out as many talented players and test the defense more. Will the offense be more organized, prepared, and focused? Absolutely. Will the coaching probably be better? Yea. But if Purdue's offense is the biggest challenge UM will have faced its because it'll be their first true road game. This team should not sleep on Purdue and if the offense is not clicking this will be an uncomfortable game for UM fans and UM could lose* but I don't think the game will be close because of our defense facing its toughest test.

*This wouldn't be the worst game to lose. Most of us expected a game that we shouldn't lose to be lost and early in the season right before the bye against a non rival is probably the best time for that to happen. Gives us time to recover, takes off some pressure from the young guys, probably exposes some weaknesses that leads to teachable moments and get the team acclimated to a rowdy road environment. Still think we win by at least 10 though.

Ppl here and in the media seem to have forgotten we were missing our all American corner. Those TDs likely don't happen if he's playing. And that isn't counting the pressure from our best pass rusher. Maybe they get 1 of those TDs.

12/04/2016 - 1:20pm Your confusion about UW's

Your confusion about UW's ranking illustrates my point. They didn't send a clear message here other than if we believe you're in the top 4 and we can justify it then you're in. The winner doesn't fit the criteria the criteria fits the winner. There doesn't appear to be consistency across conferences. The most consistent thing across all the teams is not having more than 1 loss. That may be the clearest takeaway. That the committee doesn't want a 2 loss team in the playoffs. I believe osu is one of the best 4 teams so I get why they're #3 but the justifications for keeping them in should also knockout UW or put UM in. If it's SOS UW shouldn't be in. If it's the eye test, top 25 wins, and other factors UM should be in.

12/04/2016 - 12:56pm They actually didn't send a

They actually didn't send a clear message about conference championships....if they mattered psu would be in over osu. Especially since psu also beat osu head to head. What the committee really said this season is that if they like you preseason they aren't likely to change their mind. The committee has appeared intent on putting osu in the playoff. Osu didn't have to earn a spot this year they just had to not lose one.

11/26/2016 - 10:31pm A big question about the osu

A big question about the osu game next year is will barrett return and which other underclassmen enter the draft. If they're breaking in a new QB I'm not so sure they're for sure a "juggernaut" next year.

Michigan will be young but good systems create good teams with young players by developing them. Osu, bama, and others have demonstrated that. I know that's a new concept since the last few coaching regimes were not good at player development but just look at how far speight came in one year to understand what how good harbaugh and the staff are at player development. UM could lose more games next year but I think having a returning QB and guy's who have been in the system and played even if they didn't start (think about all the "wasted" redshirts ppl have complained about at times) means that we should start the preseason ranked high while having a realistic shot to win all of their games. I think PSU might be Iowa from last year and drop off, MSU will likely still be mediocre at best, while UW will prolly be legit good. No reason to be gloomy about next year. Today sucked but the future looks good.

I also think Tom Herman going to Texas will impact osu recruiting. Maybe not in 2017 but very soon. It will be harder for osu and others (including us) to pull kids out of Texas if UT is relevant/competitive again and Herman is known as a good recruiter and will likely run a system similar to osu.

11/26/2016 - 3:03pm Win or lose Harbaugh and

Win or lose Harbaugh and Brown appear to have a formula to match osu.

10/18/2016 - 8:37am Speaking of things being slow

Speaking of things being slow on the board any way someone could do a UFR for the OSU UW game? I would be very interested in that.

02/02/2016 - 9:29am UCONN...?

Crazy thought. Given who UMs new AD is would UCONN be a possibility? Its not a geographic fit but from a basketball perspective they would be great and they would be looking to move to a bigger conference.

10/17/2015 - 8:45pm Take out the 80 yard fullback

Take out the 80 yard fullback play and those pass defense numbers look very different. I think the defense looked very good tonight. Definitely some mistakes but to hold that offense which when it plays at its full potential (which it did tonight) is very good was a good sign for the D. A combination of elite QB and Oline like that is something only the best teams have and we played them very well. Fix those penalties (some were BS) and the few mistakes and the D will be hard to beat.
