Who are the "most" who haven't been sought after by other teams? Other than Velazquez each of the commits have multiple P5 and B1G offers.

Your ratio is for national titles I take it? Penn State, Wisconsin and MSU have all recently won B1G titles with the bulk of their classes falling below your ratio.

A catchy TE who ND, Wisconsin, and Iowa all wanted sounds great!

All 4 1 obviously

Nice.

It’s going to be Zach Harrison Bailey because if they both commit it could be a wheel of fortune answer.

Tallest Michigan football captain ever?

06/22/2018 - 6:23pm Give us mute!

My two cents…

Give us mute!

My two cents is that for the most part posters aren't annoyed by someone saying 'crootin isn't good or that Harbaugh should be doing better. It's the incessant and grating nature of the Maizen/Bluey playbook: 1) say the exact same thing every time a 3 star is mentioned, 2) shout up and down the thread at people who disagree or are annoyed by the schtick. It's probably trolling but if not it's just spam.

I like how he plays and he's a pretty good athlete, too. Below are the 40 times and broad jump he posted at OSU's camp. He's also 5134 tall!

Mo looks so weird in purple! Going to take some getting used to but on the plus side the Lakers love him

06/22/2018 - 12:47am He's older and not that…

He's older and not that explosive compared to the other PGs in the draft, and the NBA is a gauntlet of athletic point guards and teams that punish switches.

FWIW I think he's a steal and will end up with a lengthy NBA career as a mostly bench guy but a really useful one.

06/22/2018 - 12:44am Moe's will be a small…

Moe's will be a small contract so he's got a decent chance of being one of the chips the Lakers keep to make the cap/roster work.

I don't think the Lakers have enough to get Kawhi but the Spurs could be a potential destination which would be pretty cool from a coaching perspective. Think he'd fit in well with Walton, too.

Then take joy in seeing other 20ish year old kids rise in the draft relative to what would have occurred last year.

Sacramento and Atlanta blowing real easy decisions so far.

06/21/2018 - 5:51pm Michigan dominated the side…

Michigan dominated the side Brohm is supposed to be a genius at so as long as we have Don Brown I'm taking that game for granted. Purdue got a couple of chunk plays but those got fixed pretty quickly and they had to run a gimmick offense to little effect for an entire half because none of their regular stuff worked.

It's very fun how much rando Purdue fans hate Michigan.

I'm gonna miss a few but here goes...

Back row: Upshaw, Myers, Vilain, Jeter, Kemp, ?, Mone, ?, Dwumfour, Paye, Ron Johnson, ?, Hutchinson, Order of St. Kovacs

Bottom row: ?, Lo Marshall, Salim Makki, DIB, the other three are probably the three you know (Gary, Chase, Aubrey)

I mean if you drop ESPN the composite is just 247 and Rivals, and Rivals has its own camp preference issues. The composite already lost some of its usefulness going from four services to three.

I don't think that the market can support more than 2-3ish (ESPN is the ish) national recruiting services but it would be nice if some investors wanted to lose money to give us more useful info on football children.

06/19/2018 - 12:40pm Would be awesome if you…

Would be awesome if you could use your spreadsheets to one day answer the "is Harbaugh better at 3 stars than most?" question. Stanford and early returns imply yes but imagine we need a much larger sample to break that down in a meaningful way.

The NFL draft is proof the services are really good at the top end of the ratings, but it's also proof they miss on at least 150ish really good prospects each cycle year (3 star on down dudes drafted).

Stars matter (!!! to get ahead of arguing that here) but a talent ID advantage is also a good thing, particularly if paired with bringing in a pile of highly rated guys.

My #2 theory on "how the hell hasn't this been posted yet?" is that the only regular non-Magnus 'crootin posters are now trolls.

Just re-read the Spartan website piece and it isn't Mad Online anymore; would edit that out if I knew how to. I swear it was snippy when I read it earlier.

Either they edited it or I'm confusing that with some of the mean tweets.

I'll own my medium woodwind bias. I'd never say such a thing about a bassoonist or an ocarinist.

I appreciate how much work goes into a site launch so I'm waiting to see what this thing is at the end of summer. Guessing this is the development team's first message board based on some of the pain points.

From the title I hoped this was going to be about the seminal Clipse album.

Eric shares the blame on this one. Never share your email password with your significant other!

Wut? I didn't say he's on par with the greats, just that dude could be like the 25th most talented Michigan RB of the last 50 years not the 35th

Guy played college football and competed in the Olympics he's not chopped liver.

06/15/2018 - 3:45pm I'm not going to stan hard…

I'm not going to stan hard for it but I feel like McGuffie could easily be higher on the talent list. I know he was never going to be Mixtape McGuffie in college but think in the right running/receiving role with health on his side he's an alternate dimension all-conference player.

The guy turned himself into an Olympian in a new sport. That's an ath-a-lete right there.

06/14/2018 - 3:19pm Belgium: Talented group with…

Belgium: Talented group with a fun style of play that needs to come together and make a run. Seems like this year is probably the last chance for this group and if they don't it will be a real disappointment. Talent x style x stakes is a compelling combination; Argentina has that going for them as well.

Nigeria because the Super Eagles are an awesome looking underdog and because it's going to be a fun group stage.

It's a shame to me the World Cup is expanding. More teams should mean more upsets and randomness, but are there really 48 teams worthy of inclusion?

06/14/2018 - 3:06pm If Wilson is good it's not a…

If Wilson is good it's not a knock on recruiting but rather a notch in the walk-on program belt. If he gets passed it doesn't say much at all. If he's still No. 3 in the fall and he's bad then maybe something's up; until then getting depressed over it is just speculative disappointment.

I'm filing this one under ask again later.

If you have other Apple devices I recommend Apple TV because you can use them together pretty seamlessly.

If you don't, I haven't found a major difference between Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, etc. outside of minor UI stuff.

What's the downside to bringing in a B1G QB who started 8 games to pay Michigan $60k/year or whatever for deep depth/scout team purposes?

06/13/2018 - 8:23am Peters could grad transfer…

Peters could grad transfer after this season and immediately be eligible to play two years elsewhere a la Malzone, which is why he would potentially hang around if passed on the depth chart. Don't know if that's his academic track but he was an early enrollee like Malzone.

This is a make sure our 3rd stringer isn't a true freshman in '18 and '19 move. Kind of a weird one, but after 2017 Harbaugh is doing everything to ensure QB depth.

06/10/2018 - 8:20pm Seven is a lot. If they add…

Seven is a lot. If they add Keegan and another elite guy I think it's more likely we see some shuffling, whether driven by Michigan or by a guy who sees more opportunity in a smaller class.

It's tough to bring in an OL class that big unless the scholarship numbers support a full restocking of the cupboards, which isn't really where Michigan is. Six guys make 18 OL scholarships next year before medical/attrition by my count even after the presumed transfer leaves.

Stronger connection: The Kid told Dan Patrick he would have gone to Michigan if he had chosen to play college football.

Exactly. I want to see hoops jumped through, LeBron infrastructure proposed, bills in Congress, etc.

A number of elements (banner, featured content boxes, welcome message, message board and diary sidebars, fonts of board/diary topics, the size billion font Comments header above where I now type) are too big and much of the site has too much white space around it. Result is far too much scrolling.

The board experience in particular suffers from this. Only being able to see 2-3 replies to a thread at a time even on a 13 inch screen makes board posts cumbersome. Getting to the board and glancing for interesting topics is a pain as well (hover over MGoBoard, click, scroll beyond stickies OR scroll down on homepage, only see seven topics despite Message Board side bar taking up more than a full laptop screen vertically, click to see more, scroll beyond stickies).
