Castleton may be ready and maybe not, hard to tell. But I think Johns definitely will be ready. Also, keep in mind we have Jaron Faulds a 6'10" transfer from Columbia who could be ready next year to see some minutes at center. I don't think depth should be an issue next year. We'll lose Matthews and maybe one of Poole and Iggy, but besides that, we have everyone else returning plus current freshmen should see some minutes plus Jaron Faulds. Next year will be pretty interesting considering our team will be pretty veteran

01/19/2019 - 3:43pm Looks like an interesting…

Looks like an interesting player and is still not super physically mature. Is he wait and see guy due to him being so skinny? Being a back up plan? Or other factors?

01/16/2019 - 11:07am Sorry, we have better things…

Sorry, we have better things to do with our lives than living and breathing hating our rival. The fact that we take up that much mental real estate in their brains is hilarious

01/15/2019 - 1:19pm Isn't there another in state…

Isn't there another in state QB of similar size and ranking we are recruiting?

01/14/2019 - 4:37pm Matt, maybe I'm just…

Matt, maybe I'm just noticing it now, but is the basketball scene in the Seattle area picking up in the past 5-10 years? Seems like there's a whole lot of elite talent coming out of there more recently

*Micah

Crap, misspelled his name in the title. My bad

01/13/2019 - 9:41pm Good. Also good on that…

Good. Also good on that Michigan Daily reporter for bringing this to light

01/13/2019 - 4:06pm Good to see we're trying to…

Good to see we're trying to address our needs for next season

This is amazing. His Twitter is now private and his Facebook is gone too

Awwwww yeah give me that power spread

01/10/2019 - 3:09pm I'm not too worried. Back…

I'm not too worried. Back injuries are something you want to take slowly and I think they're being smart about this

01/10/2019 - 1:54pm HAHAHA HIS NAME IS FREAKING …

HAHAHA HIS NAME IS FREAKING "TATHAN"

01/10/2019 - 1:18pm I'm not saying Brazdeikis…

I'm not saying Brazdeikis has become a bad player by any means, just that he's not getting to the rim at will and canning a good percentage of his 3s anymore. He's becoming less a god and more just a "very good freshman"

01/10/2019 - 1:13pm Based on the fact that Gary…

Based on the fact that Gary is the most athletic SDE/DL in recent memory. If and probably when Gary completely dominates the combine, he will be a top 5 pick. GMs love their insane combine numbers

01/10/2019 - 9:12am Poole definitely seems more…

Poole definitely seems more deserving to be on that list. Dude's shooting stats are unreal right now, while Brazdeikis has come down to earth a good deal since the beginning of the season

01/09/2019 - 11:45pm Welp, this is sad. Mattison…

Welp, this is sad. Mattison leaving probably had a large impact on his recruitment. Can't be too mad about a kid wanting to go to Stanford though

01/09/2019 - 11:39pm Velazquez at WILL could be a…

Velazquez at WILL could be a good fit. He has good vision and is a sound tackler. Just has to put on some weight

01/09/2019 - 11:38pm I think Hill could be a good…

I think Hill could be a good viper, but I also think he could be a good anything. Would also prefer him at free safety though

You just changed your argument

01/07/2019 - 4:00pm Realistically, I'd like to…

Realistically, I'd like to see Yak or Lavall Jordan takeover. And eventually, I'd love to see Patrick Beilein come to Michigan. That would make my heart melt

01/07/2019 - 3:56pm I think Poole is a more…

I think Poole is a more likely candidate than Matthews

01/07/2019 - 3:53pm Yeah, he took off for the…

Yeah, he took off for the dunk without much momentum farther away than I'm used to. But just goes to show how athletic he is

01/07/2019 - 3:52pm "Zavier Simpson hit three…

"Zavier Simpson hit three more in this game; he missed a couple but has to be shooting those at a 60% clip"

Brian, I honestly think you might be underestimating the percentage of hook shots he's made. If i had to guess he's hitting them at about 70%. I legit can only remember him missing a few of those off the top of my head

01/06/2019 - 11:30pm None of that is great news…

None of that is great news. Brown, Mattison, and Washington would all be big losses

01/06/2019 - 11:27pm Do you think his jump shot…

Do you think his jump shot mechanics are something that Beilein will look to alter or fix?

01/06/2019 - 11:22pm I mean yes, but also if you…

I mean yes, but also if you're only out there for 3-5 minutes, you shouldn't be making too many very obvious blunders. Some players can be on the floor and not contribute, but also not make mistakes, which is kinda what I wish Davis was

01/06/2019 - 9:58pm He still looks a little lost…

He still looks a little lost, but definitely good enough for minutes and better than Davis. His talent is definitely there and he just has to get more comfortable in the system

01/06/2019 - 9:52pm Loved what I saw from Johns…

Loved what I saw from Johns today. If he can keep up play like that and keep improving, he will be a really nice piece to have come tournament time at the 5. The refs today were overall annoying on both sides. Calling some soft fouls that made our defense not as effective as it usually is because our guys were in foul trouble and afraid to touch the opponent. Overall good game. Besides Johns, Simpson, Poole, and Matthews all played well. Livers would've been nice to have against Morgan, but Johns did a pretty good job behind Teske

01/06/2019 - 11:24am I don't think anyone can…

I don't think anyone can really answer your questions because neither Shea nor any WRs were put into those positions this year. There was very little in the short passing game besides receivers in the flat, nothing over the middle of the field, and besides that Shea had to wait ages for his receivers to get open due to long routes

01/06/2019 - 11:16am Would Dax be super…

Would Dax be super successful at Viper? Probably. I'd be confident that he could be successful at most positions in the secondary. Would his talents be somewhat underutilized if he wasn't playing center field at safety? I believe so

01/06/2019 - 11:10am I mean if Shea AND incoming…

I mean if Shea AND incoming freshmen both are saying this, there has to be some sort of truth to it. To me, it's just a question of if they actually follow through and actually expand the offense. Remember when RPOs where supposed to be an increased part of our offense? I think we ran less than 5 RPOs all year. So I'm not getting my hopes up until I actually see it happen

01/05/2019 - 5:35pm I'm guessing you're…

I'm guessing you're referring to Jalen Terry and Carlos Jackson. With the way Beilein is moving the team, that makes sense. Also, 2020 is definitely looking like a down year for recruiting in the state of Michigan

01/05/2019 - 5:04pm I feel like Dax at viper…

I feel like Dax at viper would be a complete waste of his talents. Would he thrive at viper? Probably. Should he be used there? I don't think so

01/05/2019 - 4:21pm Thanks Matt! Your second…

Thanks Matt! Your second paragraph there has peaked my curiosity though...

01/05/2019 - 3:22pm "So yes, they are going to…

"So yes, they are going to open it up next season"

But didn't they say the exact same thing this past off season?

01/05/2019 - 3:20pm Maybe this is a hot take,…

Maybe this is a hot take, but I do feel that Fisch's passing scheme was a reason Jake Butt was so good. Obviously Butt was very talented, but Fisch's scheme always seemed to put him in the right place to make plays

01/05/2019 - 12:15pm Great article. Has a nice…

Great article. Has a nice handles, a strong body, and finishes hard at the hoop. Maybe I'm nit picking, but his shot seems to need a bit of an overhaul. He seems to load up his shot from the waist then still seems to shoot it too low on his body. Unless he's Steph Curry I could see that being a little bit of an issue

01/05/2019 - 12:09pm Agreed, a 2020 outline of…

Agreed, a 2020 outline of probable number of players were gonna take, what positions, and probable targets would be amazing

01/05/2019 - 12:04pm This concept seems to be…

This concept seems to be obvious to everyone except Harbaugh and Pep

01/04/2019 - 10:43pm I thought it was weird that…

I thought it was weird that we as blog literally only talk about 2 of MSU's commits, Barnett and Dobbs, then I realized they are literally the only 2 good recruits in MSU's 2019 class. The rest are at least in the 400s in the composite

Why on earth would Fields get immediate eligibility?

It's winter break...

01/03/2019 - 1:35pm Evans should be getting at…

Evans should be getting at least 3-4 catches a game whether that's in the regular passing game or designed plays for him. He's to dynamic of a player to be getting 1-2 catches a game

01/03/2019 - 11:01am Bama's power spread. Given…

Bama's power spread. Given our personnel with a pretty good and developing line, solid RBs, mobile and pretty accurate QB in Shea, and good WR corp, and Harbaugh's philosophical desire to run the ball, I think the power spread would work well for all parties

01/02/2019 - 10:34pm Titos, Cherry seltzer, and…

Titos, Cherry seltzer, and lime juice. It's alcoholic cherry limeade

01/02/2019 - 10:33pm At one point Jay Harbaugh…

At one point Jay Harbaugh had recruited and gotten commitments from the our #1 RB target and the #1 APB in the country. That was until Gray decided he didn't want to compete with Charbonnet and chose to get paid at Tennessee. He's a damn good recruiter

01/02/2019 - 10:22pm I see how people could be…

I see how people could be upset by nepotism, but Jay Harbaugh has done a good job. Our running game has been a strength of ours the last few years. Not to mention he just brought in one of the best running backs in the country in Charbonnet. Out of all the things to be complaining about, Jay Harbaugh is who you choose?

01/02/2019 - 2:15pm Literally the only people…

Literally the only people who don't feel the same way as this articles are OSU fans. Even Florida fans release how shitty of a person he is. OSU fans treat him like he did nothing wrong, and rewarded him with an assistant AD job, when they should've completely distanced themselves from him. Despicable.

Maybe, there's also a very good possibility that he got an NFL draft grade that he was happy with and decided to make the jump

Football is just a game, but I'm glad it made the end of Tyler Trent's life somewhat enjoyable in a time of pain and struggle. RIP
