In case you forgot, his brother played for Michigan, and he was at every game for 6 straight years.

People at IU were seriously considering getting rid of Archie in the last couple of weeks. I have to imagine after tonight’s game that the seat will only get hotter. Most people I know involved with IU athletics think this is the worst coached IU team of their lifetime.

So Tru would sit behind all those 5 stars just like Josh Jacobs??

02/19/2019 - 7:21pm Yeah the MSU thing doesn’t…

Yeah the MSU thing doesn’t worry me that much as he didn’t have a load of Big Ten talent around him, so I’m sure they were able to somewhat focus on him. If nothing else he’ll be a solid number two which is big for Michigan’s defensive line.

This is from a recent mock draft by an NFL writer. I think this would be best case scenario for Chase. That’s a pretty good spot in the draft and the Patriots would definitely know how to best utilize him.

02/07/2019 - 10:03pm Umbig11 I appreciate…

Umbig11 I appreciate everything you bring to the board, but I have to strongly disagree about running back being a concern. Turner and Zach will split Higdon’s production and Wilson will improve and eat up Evans production. RB is a position where you can succeed in year one. Zach is an elite recruit. Probably the best running back recruit we’ve had since Fitz. And the offensive line next year should be a big step up which helps. We’ve seen that Wilson can pass protect pretty well. I’m not saying there’s not some question marks, but I disagree with it being a concern. I’ll make a bet that Michigan tops their ypg average this upcoming season vs last year. Plus throws more passes to the running backs as well. I’ll bet overall production is running and passing will be up once the season is over.

It’s an expansion league so you better believe they’ll be running all sorts of different schemes.

Tru was and is the better manball running back.

Word on the street is Archie Miller won’t last until the end of the season.

01/27/2019 - 7:55pm The largest group of NFL…

The largest group of NFL players affected was the linemen. They make up the largest group of players, but there is another reason for their prevalence. Each time an offensive lineman hits a defensive lineman at the inception of a football play, it creates a low-level subconcussive event. An offensive lineman who plays HS, college and pro football could leave the game with 10,000 subconcussive hits. None of these may be diagnosed, as concussions and the athlete may be unaware of the severity of the hits. The aggregation of thousands of low level hits to the head may be worse in their impact on the brain than getting knocked unconscious three times.

So let’s leave the lineman to do their thing, even though they’re the most affected by the physicality of the sport. So basically you put no thought or research into this at all. Also, I watched the entire pro bowl. It was not great.

01/20/2019 - 11:10pm Tony Romo was a step down…

Tony Romo was a step down from being elite but that man could definitely play QB. Mostly because of his high football IQ. He didn’t have the intangibles, just like Brady, but he’s extremely smart when it comes to football.

01/20/2019 - 11:07pm Hope this is meant jokingly…

Hope this is meant jokingly. Countess left because he didn’t fit the style of defense Michigan moved to after his injury. He loved his time at Michigan and talks about the University all the time.

01/20/2019 - 11:04pm I actually think it was a…

I actually think it was a pretty decently called game. Chiefs were holding too much, but the Pats got a gift on the roughing the passer call on Tom. Couple bad calls both ways, but I don’t think it seemed like the favored either team. For a while both teams only had 2 penalties both for just north of 20 yards I believe.

01/20/2019 - 11:02pm Ton Brady just made them…

Ton Brady just made them look like a joke. He changed the play call 6 times on the last two drives to get the Pats into a better play. There’s a reason he’s the GOAT. He is insane at getting the ball out fast and also adjusting. He sees everything.

01/17/2019 - 3:54pm They did this a few times…

They did this a few times against Florida with very good success.

01/16/2019 - 7:45pm Zach Harrison projects to be…

Zach Harrison projects to be a better version of Uche. He’ll have to work extremely hard to get where Uche is, but with the right work ethic he could surpass Uche. Hence the reason he’s basically a high 4 star and Uche was a 3 star.

01/16/2019 - 7:41pm Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma,…

Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Michigan in the playoff next year. Could be facing Hurts in the 1st round.

01/16/2019 - 7:38pm Over the last 20 years…

Over the last 20 years Oklahoma has had a player in the heisman conversation more often than not and only 3 of those guys were better than Hurts (AP, Mayfield, Murray). Oklahoma will put up a ton of points and Hurts can use his legs to offset some of his passing. But make no mistake, Hurts is still a great passer in the college game. Not elite, but he’s definitely dangerous and he’s got a high football IQ. Lincoln will design a passing game that fits Hurts perfectly. There will be a drop off and Hurts most likely won’t win the heisman, but I bet he ends up in the top 5.

01/15/2019 - 9:02pm Yeah a good comparison would…

Yeah a good comparison would be Le’Veon Bell. Not saying he’ll be that good, but he’s that style of guy and could get in Bells range as far as size and speed.

01/15/2019 - 2:36pm I’m not a Mark Dantonio fan,…

I’m not a Mark Dantonio fan, but if there’s one thing he can do, it’s coach defense. That man would be one the best defensive coordinators in the game if that’s what he would have stuck with.

01/09/2019 - 10:53am This is correct. He was also…

This is correct. He was also given the title of recruiting coordinator and wanted to get out from under Hoke and Mattison and prove himself. I’d be extremely happy if he came back.

01/06/2019 - 2:45pm Who is the guy laying…

Who is the guy laying everyone out? He put down like 3 guys and then number 86 from OSU came at him from behind and he sent him straight down as well.

01/03/2019 - 3:20pm This is what makes the…

This is what makes the Patriots, who have mediocre players on defense, look better. They play exactly this way, because in the NFL and college ball now it’s all about offense.

01/03/2019 - 12:51pm Jason White, Sam Bradford,…

Jason White, Sam Bradford, previous walk-on Baker Mayfield, SEC transfer Murray. Josh Heupel, a junior college transfer. Paul Thompson, a guy who lost the job to Jason White and Rhett Bomar multiple times and moved to wide receiver and then moved back his senior season and had a pretty good year. Landry Jones. That’s the list of QBs who have played significant snaps at Oklahoma basically since 2000. How many of those guys were NFL QBs? How many were even 4 star guys? Oklahoma has always had a good system for QBs. Going back to Mike Leach, Chuck Long, Kevin Wilson, Lincoln Reilly. And Bob Stoops was a lifetime defensive guy, he was just always willing to make the right hire and let his guys run their offense. Maybe Michigan should just hire one of Oklahoma’s two co-offensive coordinators. They have a long history of great offensive minds coming out of there.

01/01/2019 - 10:40pm The fact that his defensive…

The fact that his defensive coordinator got promoted from under him should tell most of the story. If the player mistreatment was so bad, why would they promote someone within who worked under him and at least somewhat let it happen?

12/30/2018 - 10:47pm Lloyd did nothing different…

Lloyd did nothing different or special. Look at every year before and after. He was no better than Harbaugh. Harbaugh is a better coach than Lloyd. Lloyd just happened to luck into coaching one of the best football players of all time. He needed the best player in all of college football to carry the team to win a national championship and he still split that championship. I’m not saying one person can do everything, but Woodson made that team. He is a legend. Heisman winners only come around every so often. If you’ve got one, odds are you’ll make the top 4 in college football. Lloyd rode Woodson to Michigan’s best season in the last 40 years. Woodson wasn’t just an elite player he was an all-time great. So unless Lloyd can hand Harbaugh a heisman winner in a meeting, there’s no point in having one. Look at Lloyd’s 4 seasons after losing Woodson. Are they really better than Harbaugh’s last 4 seasons? Harbaugh had to coach a team on its third string QB and still had a winning season against a much stronger Big Ten than Lloyd faced in those 4 years after 97.

12/30/2018 - 10:01am Lloyd Carr’s average ranking…

Lloyd Carr’s average ranking at Michigan was #12. Bo Schembechler’s was 8. Harbaugh’s depending on what the rankings finish at will be around 11 or 12. Harbaugh just signed the best recruiting class since the “rivals era”. Bo lost his first seven bowl games before winning his next two. Then he lost his next three. So he started 0-7 then went to 2-10. I think some people like to misremember Michigan’s history.

12/30/2018 - 9:38am Exactly this. Lloyd was…

Exactly this. Lloyd was going 1-6 against OSU and having much worse seasons than Harbaugh, but everything was fine and dandy back then? So you’re giving you tickets up after having one of the best 4 season stretches for Michigan in the last 30 years? I’m not saying everything is perfect, but it would be better if some of the negative people would just go. Harbaugh is a better coach than the last 5 head coaches Michigan has had. He’s stubborn and needs to fix his issues, but he’s still better than what Michigan has had in a longggggggg time.

12/29/2018 - 11:33pm I think Clemson can beat…

I think Clemson can beat them. They have a better running game than Oklahoma and elite receivers as well. Oklahoma is also missing a huge piece for their offense in Brown. Clemson also has a way better defense loaded with NFL players and Oklahoma’s defense is terrible.

12/29/2018 - 11:31pm Oklahoma is getting killed…

Oklahoma is getting killed on the same slant play that was killing Michigan.

12/29/2018 - 1:41pm Exactly. I see Black’s…

Exactly. I see Black’s frustration. He had one on one coverage and instead they hand it off for no yards.

Yes. Play calling is keeping them out of it. Mullen is calling a good game.

12/29/2018 - 1:29pm So is the LT. I don’t get it…

So is the LT. I don’t get it. I usually don’t complain about it but it’s terrible . At the beginning Michigan was destroying there line and now they’re just holding.

Gil out who comes in?? Where’s McGrone?

12/29/2018 - 1:26pm Winovich is trying but he’s…

Winovich is trying but he’s being held terribly all the time. That LT was supposedly their one good lineman. He’s good because he holds blatantly.

12/29/2018 - 1:24pm Yep and add Hill next year…

Yep and add Hill next year and McGrone and a year of experience for some of these guys. Defense will be good next year.

12/29/2018 - 1:23pm Offensive pass interference?…

Offensive pass interference???

Gil just killed that guy.

It’s not unathletic he’s just bailing too quickly and getting sped up.

12/29/2018 - 1:16pm Unfortunately Patterson…

Unfortunately Patterson killed that drive. He tried to bail too quickly twice.

12/29/2018 - 1:15pm Like I said he needs to drop…

Like I said he needs to drop 10 pounds or move to an actual linebacker position and let someone else move to viper.

12/29/2018 - 1:14pm Do you watch football ? Go…

Do you watch football ? Go back and watch. He could have easily had it. He slowed up and went towards the sideline after pump faking. Had he just stayed inside and made a play he had it.

He was illegally thrown down?
