06/20/2018 - 8:08am Going from ~ 100th to 6th is…

Going from ~ 100th to 6th is a pretty big jump. Saying Peters is "starter quality" is a bit of a stretch after what we saw last year. I'm hesitant of anyone who couldn't beat out O'Korn for the backup position.

06/14/2018 - 8:39am Ramos is absolutely known…

Ramos is absolutely known for dirty play. He is the most carded player in La Liga history.

05/30/2018 - 9:59am Lewis in the interview with

Lewis in the interview with Sam states "I never had the production that Hill and Long did, and Ambry is on his way". So he was giving love to Long, for what it's worth.

05/28/2018 - 7:32am Grant Perry was not passed,

Grant Perry was not passed, he was injured at the beginning of spring. Martin will be a very good player, but Perry was far and away our best receiver last year - I’d be shocked if he isn’t a starter.

05/21/2018 - 8:54pm Arsenal’s ceiling next year

Arsenal’s ceiling next year isn’t winning the league, but should be to compete for a top 4. They have the attacking talent, just need to tighten up their defense/midfield in the transfer window, and get a goalkeeper. They don’t need a huge signing, just a few players of quality, though with Kroenke being reluctant to give any funds, I have doubts that will happen.

I’m also not convinced Man U are seemingly back quite yet. Pogba could very well leave and has a terrible relationship with Mourinho. Sanchez and Lukaku were in poor form to end the year. De Gea and their defense are great, but they struggled to score goals even with that attacking talent, and I’m not sure Mourinho’s style fits their players.

05/21/2018 - 8:35pm With reports just a day ago

With reports just a day ago saying that they were ready to announce Arteta, this just seems like a shit show from Gazidis. I’m not disappointed in the hire, but I’m disappointed in how it seems this was not at all their top choice.

05/19/2018 - 8:10pm There is absolutely still an

There is absolutely still an emphasis on the game. It just seems like there’s not because we lose every fucking year.

05/17/2018 - 8:19pm You’ve won 1 trophy since 91

You’ve won 1 trophy since 91 and your best player will be sold within 2 years.

05/17/2018 - 8:14pm Outside the top 6? To who,

Outside the top 6? To who, Burnley? The only squad in the Premier League with more points in home games was City, by a whopping 3 points. This Arsenal team is not in a position to compete for a title, but they’re in position to compete for a top 4 if they tighten up the defense and away performances.

05/15/2018 - 9:27am I would figure we’re almost

I would figure we’re almost guaranteed to get one of Duke/North Carolina/Virginia out of that challenge, who are all projected Top 10 teams.

05/10/2018 - 4:12pm Look at the size of this lad.

Look at the size of this lad. Absolute unit

05/10/2018 - 1:45pm I wasn't direct, but was

I wasn't direct, but was making the point that the teams of today are far too good for anyone to come in and dominate more than Lebron has. I don't think Jordan would be far off if he was on a team in the East, but saying he would be demonstrably superior to LJ is crazy.

05/10/2018 - 1:25pm If anything this again shows

If anything this again shows competency at the position. After last year, we'll take that as a base and hope for more.

05/10/2018 - 11:35am Players today are light years

Players today are light years more athletic than they were even 15 years ago. The game has changed in terms of spacing, three point shooting and stretch bigs that absolutely zero teams from that era would be able to adapt to. The Warriors would defeat any Jordan championship team in 5 games TOPS.

A common defense to this argument is that players of the modern day game wouldn't be able to adapt to the physicality of the 80's/90's rules - which brings me back to the point that players of today's game are stronger and more athletic than ever before. Physicality would not be an issue in the slightest.

05/08/2018 - 12:56pm I mean, that's not true.

I mean, that's not true. Having only three scholarship Qb's, two of which are freshman, is an issue. Will they be fine anyway because they're ridiculously talented? Probably. But that doesn't mean they aren't thin at Qb. There's a reason Meyer was making this out to be a competition this whole time - not because he was ever going to start Burrow, but because he wanted him to stay for depth.

05/04/2018 - 9:12am The list is terrible, and

The list is terrible, and there's truly no point in ranking the qb's this early. What this list does show is that there are very few standout returning quarterbacks this year - Jake Browning, Jake Fromm and Trace McSorley are about it.

I know PTSD has set in after last year's catostrophe on offense, but Jim Harbaugh was widely considered the best QB coach in football when he came to michigan - not just college, but NFL too. Give me the #1 QB in the 2016 class under the best QB coach in football to finish at least top 5 when the season is finished.

05/03/2018 - 7:10am I fall back on the fact that

I fall back on the fact that Harbaugh has the track record of being a fantastic offensive coach. Just like you though I'm still confused about the bowl game - the gameplan still seems so inexplicable to me.

05/02/2018 - 12:54pm Concentrating on what we're

Concentrating on what we're good at, and an additional year of experience for our best offensive players will do wonders for this offense. The OSU game showed that this staff (especially Harbaugh) is capable of outstanding gameplans when done right.

05/01/2018 - 11:55am I do agree with most of the

I do agree with most of the list, but have a feeling both DPJ and Black will end up as more important players than either tight end. Hell, I think both Higdon/Evans will be more important as well.

04/30/2018 - 9:16pm Sitting in the student

Sitting in the student section 10 rows up at the front of the end zone for the blocked punt against MSU - right where the touchdown was scored. Was a living nightmare. The entire section was dead silent and all you could hear were the cheers of the MSU players. When they began taunting us by running over to the student section wall and screaming at us is when we left.

04/12/2018 - 9:50pm We’ve got our first “All or

We’ve got our first “All or Nothing” truther on the board!!

04/11/2018 - 1:59pm It was the first game that I

It was the first game that I began truly questioning what in the hell this offensive staff was doing. The first few games I chalked up to being young and inexperienced - but to come out with that performance after a bye against a rival was despicable.

04/11/2018 - 12:25pm Was really hoping the spring

Was really hoping the spring game happened anyway so the team might learn that throwing 80 times in a rainstorm is bad

04/04/2018 - 1:00pm Was all for enjoying watching

Was all for enjoying watching this absolute tire fire, but this doesn’t sound great. Hard to enjoy someone else’s incompetency when it’s coming at the expense of the players.

03/20/2018 - 3:06pm Yup - feel a lot better about

Yup - feel a lot better about Kemp joining the mix at 3T than having just Dwumfour/Marshall there, especially if what you're saying about Vilain emerging at SDE is true.

03/20/2018 - 12:45pm In this same preview, Chase

In this same preview, Chase Winovich raved about how well Kemp was doing in conditioning this year. This move could possibly be the staff trying to get him on the field, with Gary's spot clearly locked up in front of him.

03/14/2018 - 3:37pm Ebron was one of the worst

Ebron was one of the worst draft selections in recent NFL history. The amount of all pro players picked immediately after him is laughable.

03/08/2018 - 8:34am Thought I saw someone report

Thought I saw someone report that the coaches were hoping Spanellis could be moved outside for the upcoming season. I know he's currently a guard/center

03/07/2018 - 9:46pm Personally I think the 2

Personally I think the 2 tackle spots will come down to Spanellis, Hudson, or Stueber. Ulizio/JBB have more experience, but wishful thinking leads me to believe the younger guys will win those spots.

03/07/2018 - 9:23pm I know other Mgousers have

I know other Mgousers have said this already - but unless Warinner went for an in home visit, this is going against the good guys. He’s not committing to us without a relationship with the oline coach.

03/05/2018 - 9:26am "Tom Izzo, retire bitch" is a

"Tom Izzo, retire bitch" is a hell of a way to end a podcast.

03/01/2018 - 9:18am This makes sense to use them,

This makes sense to use them, he did develop them. The thing with Ramsey nearly never happens - think of all the coaching graphics that are used and how many times a player actually calls out a past coach.

02/27/2018 - 9:41pm Lafayette is clearly the

Lafayette is clearly the better coney.

02/23/2018 - 1:13pm I may have just phrased it

I may have just phrased it poorly, but that's what I'm hoping for as well. It seems there was an offer in place for Drevno to stay on the staff, just in a demoted role, and he then decided to leave. It also seems Jim had an idea of what Drevno's decision would be - hiring Ed Warinner away as an analyst only just seemed odd.

02/23/2018 - 1:03pm In the "Drevno to Vandy?"

In the "Drevno to Vandy?" thread.

02/23/2018 - 11:06am Yes, and umbig11 has just

Yes, and umbig11 has just said that the new staff roles apparently caused Drevno to want to resign. If that's the case, then good riddance. There obviously needed to be changes after last season and if he's not on board, then he can leave.

02/23/2018 - 10:57am I'm unsure of how accurate

I'm unsure of how accurate Brandon Justice is, but there seems to be too much smoke for this not to happen. UMBig11, Webb, and now this.

02/19/2018 - 9:50pm I didn’t compare our coaches

I didn’t compare our coaches to OSU’s, I gave an example that the collaborative play calling approach can have success. I also said that our coaches haven’t been good enough on the offensive side of the ball and that hopefully new roles and new coaches will improve things. Makes you look ignorant when you don’t even read.

02/19/2018 - 9:19pm Pardon My Take can be great

Pardon My Take can be great on occasion, other than that there’s not much going for it. If you read the end of the article, apparently the guy might actually get a job at barstool because of this, which would be quite the self-own.

02/19/2018 - 7:21pm Successful Philosophy

This board does realize that Urban Meyer uses the same "approach by committee" philosophy at OSU, right? They just promoted Ryan Day from Co-Offensive Coordinator to Offensive Coordinator. That is in addition to having Kevin Wilson listed as an Offensive Coordinator, along with Urban Meyer, who is an Offensive Coordinator.

Last year's downfalls had nothing to do with the philosophy, it had to do with who was actually calling plays and making the game plans. Harbaugh clearly was not happy with the performance of those aspects of the staff, so he hired someone new to take charge of it. McElwain has done very well in this role before, hopefully he can have that same success here.

02/15/2018 - 7:34am This has aged very well.

This has aged very well.

02/09/2018 - 10:22am You're missing a fairly key

You're missing a fairly key game here.. @MSU will be as difficult if not more so than any of the others besides @OSU. Can't exactly write that off as an automatic win

02/07/2018 - 11:22am If Harbaugh wasn't a Michigan

If Harbaugh wasn't a Michigan legend, he would only be the most highly touted NFL coaching prospect available who also turned around a 1-11 Stanford team in 4 years. And Jake Rudock, an Iowa backup who now has a job in the NFL, seems to have been developed.

02/07/2018 - 10:46am Probably not as fucked as

Probably not as fucked as everyone thinks right now

02/06/2018 - 1:44pm We'll most likely miss out on

We'll most likely miss out on NPF and the Rice grad transfer. If the Oline isn't any better next year, I can only imagine how furious this board will be that Drevno wasn't fired this offseason.

02/02/2018 - 11:53am I have a hard time believing

I have a hard time believing that 156 visits in 2017 is really that more than any other year. We can't put the most ubered to place in the state out of business!!

02/02/2018 - 8:36am This is true, but the

This is true, but the reasoning for Shea texting that to Nixon is shown later in the article - Shea messaged Freeze asking for clarification on the allegations against Ole Miss, and Freeze sent him an article laying out that the allegations were for other sports, and not football. That is the definition of misleading someone.

02/02/2018 - 8:25am I agree that we can never

I agree that we can never count on the NCAA to get anything right, but the timeline won't have anything to do with it. This is in waiting because they are building the best case possible for the players

01/31/2018 - 9:53am Having a "slight lead" for a

Having a "slight lead" for a current commit doesn't feel all too promising. But, hell, I was 100% confident we were losing Solomon last year so maybe this works out

01/26/2018 - 8:00am "Expecting an insane shooting

"Expecting an insane shooting performance that the Boilermakers win because they have an ent surrounded by 50-percent shooting Legolases" was pretty on point
