Hey, it's still Virginia. You try to find 3 white guys over 40 that haven't worn blackface at least once. They're getting better, but Richmond was the capital of the Confederacy.
It always amazes me that the same species that went from horse and buggy to stealth bomber in less than a century, and put a man on the moon, also thought they would get cooties by sharing a water fountain with someone who had a different skin color.
In 1994 my school district got sued by several parents when they decided to hold classes on a day with -50 wind chill. Something like a dozen kids at the HS got frost bite (we had to walk outside between classes).
So I get why they cancel classes when it gets that cold out. But a snow day for anything less than 6-8 inches of snow seems silly.
What a stupid fucking idea. Half the time I leave my house the phone stays home, and I'm not exactly old yet. Sometimes I just don't want to be bothered with the fucking thing or have Google and big brother tracking my movements every second of the day.
Then again, the Tigers suck and I wasn't going to be attending games in the near future anyway.
We went a few years ago, 2016 maybe, and it was great. But the weather was beautiful, sunny and in the low 70's IIRC. I don't think I would go if the weather was crap.
What do the forecasts say about the lack of snow? Just a few years go we got like 8 feet. We haven't even gotten 8 inches this winter (that's what she said).
My kid wants to go sledding. And I promised the family I'd take them on a sleigh ride.
If you do visit for the Dream Cruise, come a few days early and have lunch at Duggan's. They bought some of the recipes from Ted's, Totem-Pole, and Susie Q when they went under.
My current car is pretty good in the snow (Infiniti G37x) with the AWD and some decent all-season tires.
The best snow machine I ever had was a '99 Jeep Cherokee. It had the bulletproof 4.0 straight six and an interior you could clean with not much more than a wet rag and a shop vac.
There was a blizzard where we got about 15 inches of snow overnight. The plows hadn't touched most of the main roads, never mind side streets or parking lots. I was supposed to be in court to fight a speeding ticket that morning, so I cleaned the Jeep off and off I went. I was one of the few people out that morning and I made it there without a problem. It was way too fun for a trip to court.
Naturally when I got there the court was closed due to the storm.
Jesus that's a beautiful car. I'm not a particularly envious person, but between the nice boat, the hot wife, and now a goddamn '68 GTO, I'm 14 different shades of green over here.
At least you deserve it, what with the cancer and shitty first wife and all.
Seriously though, gorgeous car. I've been trying to track down a '70 Cutlass Supreme to restore for little Hatter to have as his first car. He'll be able to drive it in 10 years and I figure it would probably take me that long.
The money is what bothers me more than anything else. What in the actual fuck is he doing to justify a $1.4 million salary? The fact that no other team wants him tells me he's severely overpaid.
When my son was 4 - 5 and at the peak of his Star Wars fandom he would tell everyone that he met that Darth Vader went to Michigan.
Also, James Earl Jones, despite having one of the best voices of all times, had a horrible stutter when he was a kid and actually went years without speaking at all. He still does it when he tries to talk too fast.
Happy Birthday Mr. Jones. Hopefully you spent it (and every other day) in a recording studio reading the entire Oxford English Dictionary.
Thanks for the summary. If the players didn't have a union they'd probably all be converted to 1099 contractors.
If there's only one workers comp carrier for the entire league, they have a serious problem. That carrier won't be willing to take all that risk forever without charging insanely high premiums.
Luckily college players don't get workers comp benefits.
I'm surprised they don't self-insure like most big companies do. Just charge the players outrageous amount for coverage that doesn't kick in at all until you hit a massive deductible.
Just like my "good" company provided insurance does now.
When those cars came out they were all over the place in Metro Detroit. Since no one was buying them, GM made everyone that got a company car (which used to be a ton of ppl) take one instead of their Caddies and suv's.
Him and his budget? Almost nothing other than concession purchases a few times per year. For the school at large? I'm paying a lot more for my daughter's tuition than people are paying for season tickets.
It was a fax that Jay sent to Chris Clark with a list of reasons he should play at Michigan. You're a baller was on that list. The whole thing was cringe.

I'll wait.

People are weird.
Thanks, you're the best! I've never heard it live before, so I will absolutely try to be there.
On a side note, my daughter and I have made an annual tradition of attending Messiah. We plan to keep it up as long as one of us lives in the area.
You guys really do rock.

Sales actually isn't a bad idea if he's a people person. Not much education (if any) required and with a lot of hard work he can make a lot of money.
My biggest regret is going into investigations / compliance instead of sales / securities. Those little shits make 4x what I do.

Good for you getting out there. I dropped the ball on Sat.

They played an actual "game" that year.

Fuck this winter.

"he even texted and talked with teammates at halftime of the Peach Bowl."
The team is spending halftime txting? No wonder we got our asses kicked.
Yeah, if you want to sit out the bowl game, fine. I don't like it, but whatever.
But a captain sitting out looks like a total asshole. Like the ship is taking on water and his ass is the first one in a life boat.
Depends, does Patterson have a broken arm in 2016? Is Milton playing in 2017?
The passing game sure seemed better when Jedd was around.
Shit is on fire, yo.
Amen.
Shit is on fire, yo.
Who the fuck would sign that contract? Not me.
With that red rubber ball that hurts like hell when it hits your skin.
I'm in. Add kickball too.
I had sex with Kate Upton last night. And by "had sex with" I mean "looked at her picture while I jerked off". That's the same thing, right?
I'm not just talking about parenting, nobody knows what the fuck they're doing in most situations.
And you can be a good parent while still being friends with your kids.
The older I get, the more I realize that nobody knows what the fuck they're doing.
That job sounds like a pain in the ass.

He'll find a way when it starts costing him money.
I don't even really look at internet porn at that often, I just like knowing that it's there.
Fucking puritans. I'm really beginning to hate all of the tech companies.
Oh no, a nipple! SHUT. DOWN. EVERYTHING!
I posted this earlier, but I'd like to see a "Michigan Monday" style write-up of OSU games.
Right. She crashed the stock and housing markets in 2008. All by herself! That Canadian monster!
Did people forget that fat fuck was a gigantic asshole as governor? Not sure what MSU expected here.
Next time you see a mentally ill homeless person, thank John Engler. Cunt.
well played.
I'd like it if someone did a "Michigan Monday" type article for OSU games since I usually don't watch them.
I don't like gravy. Au Jus is the way to go.

Pubic lice are going extinct in most western countries thanks to the "bald is beautiful" movement.
Snoop is a national treasure.
Also, contrary to popular belief, both he and Martha Stewart are convicted felons. And I'm pretty sure they've fucked at least once.

I like the hire, but that beard needs to go. Hopefully it's in his contract that he has to remove it.
Enos sounds a lot like penis. I'll bet he caught hell in school.
Good. Fuck that guy.
Hell,…
Following the board?
Hell, that's the entirety of the American moral code these days. Get money. More money. All the money! It doesn't matter how.
-spits on the floor
Especially not Indiana. They run us into the ground every damn year.
Seriously, schedule Eastern before OSU. I'll go to that game. Promise.
I'll buy mine on game day for $20. Season tickets are for rich people now.
Seems like he should be 30 years old by now. So maybe BYU?
You're lucky. If I sleep in 5 mins my cat bitches so loud in the hallway that I have to get up and feed him.
The he does the same thing to Mrs. Hatter 2 hours later.

Ugh, I had completely forgotten about that cringeworthy episode from Jay in his first year. Glad he stopped embarrassing himself publicly like that.
I disagree. All this guy has to do is design better plays than Pep did and suggest them to Harbaugh in game and it'll be a massive improvement.
