Did you forget that they put Brady in a rotation with Henson his senior year?  That cost us the MSU game.

02/17/2019 - 9:53am I agree.  Oh, wait... Do we…

I agree.  Oh, wait... Do we have to give back our Final Four appearance last year?

02/15/2019 - 6:14pm Tressel and Meyer were dirty…

Tressel and Meyer were dirty fucks.  Hayes was a miserable asshole with an uncontrollable temper, but I have never seen any evidence that he was dirty, i.e., that he cheated.

02/15/2019 - 6:10pm Having to split OL coaching…

Having to split OL coaching duties with Drevno would fuck up anyone's resume.

I am rooting for it to fold, along with the XFL, as soon as is humanly possible.

02/15/2019 - 7:56am We have to get this guy!

We have to get this guy!

We should hook him up with Manti Teo's girlfriend.

And I do live in a trailer with my mom; and Cheddar Bob did shoot himself with his own gun...

Didn't the NCAA take away a bunch of wins from Paterno, moving him behind Bowden in total wins -- and then gave them back ??!!!

02/12/2019 - 8:39am And let's not forget the BYU…

And let's not forget the BYU Unapologetic Polygamists.

02/12/2019 - 8:35am No, actually it was Paulie…

No, actually it was Paulie Walnuts, who pronounced it "hoouh."  Ralph was a different character who actually murdered a whore (and was later choked to death by Tony), but didn't pronounce it quite like that.   Hey, I'm a history buff, fuhgeddaboudit.

02/11/2019 - 4:40pm Not so fast, my friend.  I…

Not so fast, my friend.  I heard that we just signed Garvie Craw and Ed Shuttlesworth to scholarships.  Each had a year of eligibility left.

02/11/2019 - 8:11am BTW, we are rooting for MD…

BTW, we are rooting for MD over Purdue and Wiscy over Staee.  That would put us in pretty good shape down the stretch.

02/08/2019 - 8:57am And besides that, with just…

And besides that, with just three RBs, an injury to any one of them would be devastating.

What about Devin Bush?  Does someone know if he's leaving?  /s

02/08/2019 - 8:50am This systems would totally…

This system would totally disadvantage ball control teams like Michigan, who move the ball with successive first downs, based on 5-6 yard gains, in favor of quick strike downfield passing teams.  I'll "pass" on this idea.

02/06/2019 - 12:51pm They didn't call us soft. …

They didn't call us soft.  They called us "white collar."  In my profession, that's a compliment.

02/06/2019 - 12:43pm It wasn't a bad hire.  He…

It wasn't a bad hire.  He would have been one of Michigan's all-time great coaches, but he left his headphones in San Diego.

02/06/2019 - 8:06am With all due respect (and I…

With all due respect (and I have very little for Izzo or Sparty), KU has been totally decimated by injuries since that first game of the year.  They're not the same team now.

02/06/2019 - 8:05am "Retire Izzo"???  Why would…

"Retire Izzo"???  Why would we want him to retire when he's been clearly losing his chops for several years now?  His teams are folding in close games; his All-Everything PG played like a third string freshman.  I hope they extend his contract.

02/06/2019 - 7:50am I was with you until you…

I was with you until you said, "if Michigan's best returning tailback plagiarized in my class I would have some soul searching to do."  The fact that he's a football player should have NOTHING to do with it.  That's the basic problem at so many other schools -- that athletes get treated with kid gloves and given breaks that other students would never receive.  You should apply the rules objectively and evenhandedly and if that, to you, means searching your soul, then you should search it for EVERY student accused of plagiarism.

02/04/2019 - 8:23am The Hyundai ad with Bateman…

The Hyundai ad with Bateman was right up there.  With each descending floor, I could personally relate to the trauma that was about to be inflicted on the unwitting victim.  I vote that a tie with "The Dude Abides" as top ads of the evening.  Even SJP couldn't ruin The Dude Abides ad for "Stella Artose."

Worst ad was easily the Verizon ad with the soppy "First Responders" tribute.  I am sick of corporations using fake empathy to sell their products.  And, I wonder how many "takes" it took to get this "reality" story just right, tears and all.  Disgusting.  Yes -- First Responders are heroes.  Companies that seek to take advantage of that for profit are not.

Janet Jackson's nipple, without the rest of Janet Jackson, would be awesome.

02/04/2019 - 7:35am Speaking of Amadeus, they…

Speaking of Amadeus, they should have the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.  If they're good enough for our halftime show, they're good enough for the SuperBowl.  Fuck Rap.  Fuck Hip-hop. Fuck the Free World.  I'm Out-y.

02/03/2019 - 11:35am SpartanSwill.

SpartanSwill.

02/03/2019 - 11:19am Amazingly enough, based on…

Amazingly enough, based on remaining schedules, Purdue has to be the favorite to win the B1G regular season title.  We still have 2 against Sparty, 2 against MD, and 1 against Wiscy.  Even our road game against Rutger is not a given.  If we don't win it, I wouldn't mind Purdue.  They played a murderous early schedule, and I like Painter.

Or the G-Men, who have sunk to historic depths.

02/01/2019 - 8:07am No, they shouldn't. There's…

Players should not simply be allowed to play wherever they want. There's a reason the Yankees, Celtics, and Canadiens used to win championships almost every year.  Antitrust cases have sustained the legality of the draft system to maintain some semblance of competitive balance.  Free agency is a somewhat different story, as salary caps and compensatory draft picks keep the playing field somewhat level, preventing the richest from always getting richer.

Agreed. But I'd much prefer if his first name was Franz. Or his last name was Wallace.

I just hope his middle initial isn't "K."

And it will NEVER have to be torn down.

LOL.  The older I get the MORE time I have to watch sports.  I guess it all depends on what stage of life you're at.

01/30/2019 - 10:07am Well, actually, it's "over…

Well, actually, it's "over your face, and head, and outstretched arms."  It's designed to avoid any "in your face" confrontations in the paint.   A guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do.

C'mong, man.  His first words were "To HELL with Notre Dame!"

01/28/2019 - 7:59am Don't apologize.  You're…

Don't apologize.  You're right.  When I watch the games, the skill level appears to be that of the pick-up playground games I used to play as a teenager in NYC.  But, for some reason, that makes the game interesting to me.  I can actually relate to what they're doing.

01/28/2019 - 7:52am I agree there should not be…

I agree there should not be Friday college basketball, but for a different reason.  My Friday happy hour begins at 4 p.m. and usually ends sometime early Saturday morning.  Basketball is a buzz killer.

01/28/2019 - 7:47am Just one of these conspiracy…

Just one of these conspiracy theories is false.  Which one is it?

A. Oswald had accomplices on the grassy knoll.

B.  Trump colluded with Russia.

C.  The refs fixed the NFC championship game.

Who was the pro (Redskins?) QB that injured his neck banging his head on the goal stanchion during a TD celebration?

Or Jim Harbaugh, unfortunately.

Yup. 3 pm game and you can still make it for the Early Bird Special at the local diner.

01/26/2019 - 10:34am The proof of Bormet's…

The proof of Bormet's ability will  be tournament results. Joey was always successful as a dual meet coach, but, until last year, his teams always underachieved in tournaments (B1G and NCAA) which is all that really counts. Tournaments require a different mentality and degree of unrelenting focus.

Hey, dude.  DVR!  I taped both events, watched the bball game live and then watched the wrestling meet, not knowing the result.  Turned out to be a great Friday night.  (And I rewatched bball highlights with my coffee this morning.  Great start to the day.)

He was rycin-ated by your agents.

The officiating in the 2016 OSU game was "truly egregious beyond a shadow of a doubt."

01/17/2019 - 7:59am I don't think he was seen…

I don't think he was seen cutting down the nets at last year's regional win.  That's an improvement.

I give him a B+ so far.  He's no Don Canham, but then again, nobody is.

John Amos.  Fine actor.  But Devin is much better looking.

So, he decided to be a paternalistic, condescending, morally bankrupt cocksucker just for fun.

As soon as I read "Engler served with distinction," I knew you were a slappy.  Fuck Engler, and Fuck you, 1.8.
