Wow, FiF, thanks for bringing the truth where the rest of us are afraid to!  I agree, the team "seams" to need your help, and once we pass your words of wisdom along to Harbaugh and Don Brown, I'm sure Gil will be on the next train out of town.

I just get my sausage in a jar.

01/24/2019 - 1:35pm Hey, man, we should be…

Hey, man, we should be rewarding him for a somewhat optimistic post for once, right?  I expected the usual concern trolling about spring game scheduling, and I was pleasantly surprised!

01/23/2019 - 1:35pm If he'd have mentioned it…

If he'd have mentioned it just one more time, I'm sure I would have understood it.

01/17/2019 - 1:01pm There literally is no player…

There literally is no player on this team this year who gets any minutes whatsoever who can be characterized as "bad."  Try again -- or, better yet, don't.

Good thinking, bud!  If you jump off the bandwagon now, you'll beat everyone to their inevitable misery! Eat at Arby's.

Would be a fair question if the season ended on January 11.

01/11/2019 - 1:31pm "Check out [OSU] fan twitter…

"Check out [OSU] fan twitter."  I'd rather not, thanks.  In fact, that's pretty much the *last* place I'd look to help me evaluate the Mattison move.

01/11/2019 - 1:18pm Yes, it seemed a wee bit…

Yes, it seemed a wee bit premature to proclaim that the end times were nigh without waiting a few days to see who Harbaugh would hire.

01/10/2019 - 2:28pm Yes, to be clear, I meant…

Yes, to be clear, I meant the play call, not the decision to go for 2.  Wasn't too sure about that either, to be honest, until we learned later that Gardner was playing on a broken foot.

Emphasis on "near" -- that two-point conversion call . . . .

01/10/2019 - 1:55pm Wasn't he just a grad…

Wasn't he just a grad assistant?  The blame might go to the head coach for not putting a higher priority on special teams.

01/10/2019 - 1:52pm I should have read further…

I should have read further down the thread before I chimed in.  Agree 1000 percent.

01/10/2019 - 1:47pm You accidentally typed "may"…

You accidentally typed "may" in your post.  Borges "wins" the worst assistant prize based solely on his criminal misuse of Denard.  The most frustrating thing was that he seemed to have it worked out for a game or two, but then would promptly forget what made Denard a unique talent.

01/08/2019 - 1:13pm Finally, a voice of reason…

Finally, a voice of reason amid all the conspiracy theories.  Saban has gone through 39 assistants since he arrived at Alabama in 2007.  Two of the new assistants he brought in this year, Enos and Banks (assuming you ignore Enos's cup of coffee with MIchigan), were poached from within the division (Arkansas and Texas A&M).  One of the assistants who left (Pruitt) took a job with another SEC team.  The notion that something's wrong or Harbaugh's losing it, without waiting to see who he brings in, seems just a wee bit hysterical.

Wow, thanks for the insight.  "I heard something, won't tell you, don't know if it's true, but boy howdy, if it is . . . "

Great work by all the photographers.  We're lucky to have such a great crew covering Michigan sports.

12/21/2018 - 12:52pm Glad to see we got this guy…

Glad to see we got this guy committed before he beamed back into the cosmos.  Is he from the "slight future" or another dimension?  And how do you scout a team/player that is dematerializing right before your eyes?

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Good news -- I was just about to start a much-needed thread about that . . .

You have an interesting definition of the word "stomped."

11/21/2018 - 1:53pm At least we've got the…

At least we've got the trailers to entertain us until tonight.  And I'm starting a separate thread to discuss all the rumors:  (i) it turns out that one of the beloved figures from past episodes is gay; (ii) Chase learns who his real father is; (iii) several characters are actually dead; and (iv) it's only 2004, and the entire RichRod and Hoke eras were all a bad dream.

It works so well because it appears that Bonds is just being his usual self -- a pompous windbag.  Makes the payoff that much better.

11/20/2018 - 4:08pm I don't wonder.  Woody was…

I don't wonder.  Woody was way to the Bobby Knight end of the mental stability spectrum.

11/19/2018 - 3:32pm Agreed.  Several times on…

Agreed.  Several times on Saturday Indiana sent its RB wide and Michigan sent Bush out to cover him, leaving a big hole in the middle of the field.  I know Brian pooh-poohed this on the podcast, but Indiana regularly exploited this gap in the middle when Bush wasn't in the neighborhood to keep them honest.  Obviously you have to cover the RB when he's sent out wide, but ideally there's an option other than Bush for that.

11/05/2018 - 12:36pm Probably?  What happened to…

Probably?  What happened to the vaunted Michigan Arrogance?

11/01/2018 - 1:18pm I feel like Michigan should…

I feel like Michigan should be able to exploit Penn State's offensive line, seeing as how they have two RGs and no LG.

10/25/2018 - 1:38pm Yes, until Vercingetorix…

Yes, until Vercingetorix started coming down with mysterious headaches, and then it was all over . . .

I've asked for a refund.

10/25/2018 - 1:34pm Yes, Rob Deer easily wins…

Yes, Rob Deer easily wins this title over Cecil Fielder.  CF had a career strikeout rate of 22%, a .255 batting average, and a .345 OBP.  For Deer, the numbers are 31%, .220, and .324.  In fact, Deer never hit better in any single year than Cecil did over his whole career, and likewise for Deer's season-by-season OBP versus Cecil's career OBP (with the exception of one year).

More than you wanted to know about two boom-or-bust players, I'm sure.

10/22/2018 - 2:39pm Hey, the ref gave the MSU…

Hey, the ref gave the MSU player a stern talking-to -- that should do it, right?

Uh, maybe JGJ called an audible because he figured that's what QBs do? Other than that, I got nothin'.

When certain people start off their post by asking an "honest question," you can be sure that concern trolling will follow.

Not a blunder, just a typical dick move by D'Antoni.  Blew up in his face, too -- what a shame.

10/17/2018 - 12:58pm That two point conversion…

That two point conversion attempt -- it doesn't get any better than that.

10/04/2018 - 2:20pm Can we make it easy on BiSB…

Can we make it easy on BiSB and just tell him which W-L records he got *right*?

(Just kidding, love this feature and who really cares about W-L records anyway?)

The food coaches?  Sorry, Joe Tiller isn't at Purdue anymore.  Maybe they can hire Charlie Weis?

Love the handoff to the ref in the last Ben Mason clip.  Good stuff, Ace!

09/24/2018 - 1:05pm And even if Michigan fans…

And even if Michigan fans joined in the booing, it wasn't to express disapproval with the strategy.  Given the lack of success of opponents returning kickoffs this season, I assume most of us wanted to goad the Nebraska returners into giving it a shot.

09/19/2018 - 1:11pm "A safety who is not boring"…

"A safety who is not boring" -- do not want.

09/17/2018 - 1:23pm "Extra special given the…

"Extra special given the tough year I've had" -- this hits the nail on the head, and has put me into a state of depression about what's to come this season.  If Penn State can pull off the "overcoming adversity" story line, you know damn well Meyer can.

09/17/2018 - 1:13pm I, for one, applaud his…

I, for one, applaud his devotion to the scientific method -- experiment, failure, refinement, repeat.  By the time he's done, all of us should benefit from the perfect all-purpose apology for whatever we've done wrong.

09/14/2018 - 1:41pm Thanks, Seth, for saving me…

Thanks, Seth, for saving me a whole lotta time!  Once I listened to Dan Orlovsky's analysis and learned that SMU's defense is "playin' hard," I knew all I needed to know and didn't need to read the rest of your post.

09/12/2018 - 1:06pm Yeah, but for the benefit of…

Yeah, but for the benefit of any NFL personnel folks who might be perusing this thread -- he's not looking so hot this year and definitely needs another season to refine his technique.

09/10/2018 - 12:40pm On the other hand -- when…

On the other hand -- when Michigan was up either 35-0 or 42-0, the guy next to me complained about bad and/or predictable play-calling after Michigan ran "the same play" (i.e. runs up the middle) twice in a row.  Dude, it's a bazillion to nothing, and Michigan had been running the ball up the gut quite nicely all game, thank you very much.  And, of course, Michigan proceeded to convert the 3rd-down-and-longish anyway.  Argh.

Why does Seth's mom dislike Ace so much?
