There actually are several ways to measure approximate temperature from many, many years ago.  Ice sheets, tree rings, pollen grains, fossil leaves, marine sediments, etc.  I know science is taboo these days but we actually have figured out ways to measure certain things other than arguing about it on the internet.

He was likely going to be tragically misused yet again anyways.  Hope he figures out whatever it is that was the issue.

My guess is it'll be Charbonnet and Turner with the bulk of the carries by years end while Tru will end up about the same usage as this year.

I will give you credit for actually coming up with names.  Very few people do that so I'll tip my cap.

But he's not just a random ex-player.  There are many, many ex-michigan linebackers to choose from if that was the mark.

Foote was a LB coach in the NFL last year so even though you want to be condescending about it, it's a relatively justifiable option no matter how you slice it.

01/08/2019 - 8:19pm Being an ASU alum, who works…

Being an ASU alum, who works for a company that partners with the university, and who still lives in the area, yes, Edwards has been much better than anyone thought and better than Todd Graham was.  ASU had a solid game plan in every game this year, played every opponent close, were fundamentally sound, and recruited well.

01/08/2019 - 8:16pm I love retorts like this. …

I love retorts like this.  Tell me exactly who is better and why Larry Foote is not a reasonable candidate for LB coach?  Or are you just shitting on this for no reason?

He went to Michigan so yes, that helps given that we had two coaches just give us the finger for our biggest rival.  He played over a decade in the league (look at the benefit Antonio Pierce had at ASU, particularly recruiting), and has been coach in that position in the NFL.

So tell me again why that's such a terrible suggestion and why your phantom, mystery pick is so much better?

01/08/2019 - 7:07pm I think this is all to be…

I think this is all to be taken with a very large grain of salt.  Pretty sure it wasn't 6 months ago that Forbes released a different list where the top 3 went Texas A&M/Texas/Michigan.

01/08/2019 - 6:28pm The only silver lining here…

The only silver lining here is that the same complaints we are seeing about Trgovac are the same that were said about Herm when ASU hired him and that looks like a pretty good hire for them after Yr 1

It's a way of joking about how your order is exactly like my brothers.  It wasn't meant to be a significant contributor to the board,or even for you to get it, simply a tongue in cheek comment about your random comment regarding blimpy and how that order happens to be exactly the one my brother orders, who also is a state fan.

EDIT: and also how this entire board post is...uh...pointless. And the guy commenting below isn't too far off.  There's like five different ways this could be taken.

01/08/2019 - 6:10pm Larry Foote for LB coach

And all this time I thought my older brother was a State fan.  Gave yourself away with your Blimpy’s order bruh, see you next Christmas

Ya, tremendous mistake sticking with a guy who threw 30 TD's to 6 INT's while completing 67% of his passes.

The little symbols used to note ballhogs, etc. is a great little feature.  Should do it going forward and with football

01/02/2019 - 8:48pm There is a shocking amount…

There is a shocking amount of backlash against the RB coaching and I honestly am not sure why.  If anything, our RB's have been limited by the coaching at levels above their position coach.

01/02/2019 - 6:50pm Even if it is, pretty sure…

Even if it is, pretty sure they can still backdate the early enrollees to the prior year's class, assuming there's room.

Ya, he's going to be just fine.  Hell, the league minimum is like 500K.

We'll be alright

01/01/2019 - 6:50pm Because OSU's only tradition…

Because OSU's only tradition is to win by any cost.  This gives them the ability to skirt boundaries without care, pour funds and backing into the program, and most importantly, adapt in any way they have to in order to win.

Michigan gets a little clingy to the past because that's when we won rather than acknowledging the past while looking forward.

01/01/2019 - 6:38pm So what are we paying Pep…

So what are we paying Pep over a million dollars a year to do?

01/01/2019 - 11:35am He isn't from Texas but…

He isn't from Texas but coached at Tech and Houston for almost a decade.  Supposedly loves Texas and the Houston area.  Plus, why not trade a team with poor in-state talent playing in an odd-fit conference for a team that should be the top of their conference most years, with tons of local talent, and tons of resources to grow the program.

The last couple years have conditioned me to believe that offense will be the issue.

If you read carefully, I never suggested they actually do this.  The guy kept asking for names and they’re successful or rising coaches. The point is it’s possible. But with the logic you’re applying, there’d be the same group of coaches circling between every job with no new faces.  After all, they have the credentials right?

12/29/2018 - 5:15pm I think an honest and open…

I think an honest and open search with several of the following might yield someone:

-Dino Babers

-Neal Brown

-Lance Leipold

-Matt Campbell (I know, I know but interviews don't hurt anyone and if he can make ISU competitive/good every year, he might know a thing or two.)

-Jeff Monken

-Mike Norvell

That comes with the territory when you hire a big name HC who I believe, at the time he was hired, made more than any other college coach.

I'm not saying they would definitely be better, but I'm curious about the job guys like Babers, Leipold, Campbell, Litrell, (Neal) Brown would do.

I'm not a fan of how the postgame articles have changed this year.  I don't need a play by play recap, I watched the game.  There used to be more of a plot and bigger picture written into these.

12/29/2018 - 3:45pm The way I see it there are…

The way I see it there are two options to move the program forward:

1) Harbaugh cleans house, hires an OC who runs a modern, COLLEGE offense, and gives up a lot of power on the offensive side of the ball.  Even Don Brown may not be safe from this culling.

2)Remove Harbaugh and interview some of the following candidates: Matt Campbell, Dino Babers, Neal Brown, Seth Littrell. Edit: Add Lance Leipold
