09/28/2017 - 1:08pm Not sure what people can make

Not sure what people can make of this.

Big dude, kinda fat, not many plays where he has to move much, playing competition where he's 12" taller and outweighs them by 100lbs.  A couple of really nice drive blocks where shoves a DL 15 yards out of the play and not much more.  I would expect anyone with that size discrepancy to make those blocks.

09/18/2017 - 6:34pm annoying questions get annoyed answers

I'm not sure why people think they can ask the same question with slightly different wording and get a better answer.  He did everything but say "don't ****ing ask me that again" yet they still keep asking the same things.  Pick up the hint.

Honestly, it doesn't seem like there aren't any questions he'd like to answer about hte team right now and it seems that it's a waste of everyone's time to have this news conference.

09/20/2016 - 8:06pm favorite hit

While Khalid Hill's blocking for Deveon on that sweep is my favorite play of the game, the hit Peppers made on that running back is my favorite hit.  Holy shit did he hit that kid hard.  Right in the grill and completely turned him around.  Vicious.

09/19/2016 - 3:33pm Dude took Peppers helmet in

Dude took Peppers helmet in the face.  I'd be surprised if he wasn't concussed at minimum.  He can be seen holing the side of his head immediately after the collision.

09/03/2015 - 2:31pm Heiko, Sorry, but It does

Heiko,

Sorry, but It does require quite a bit of cortical function  "to cheer when the ball moves forward and boo when it does not".

Keep studying,

A neurologist

:)

09/02/2015 - 2:33pm Agree with much of what you

Agree with much of what you say, Brian, with one major exception.

I think Funchess was a (not the only) cancer on this team last year.  He clearly looked like he stopped giving a shit on the field and this showed in poor routes, drops and crappy blocking.  He is undeniably a physically gifted guy.  But, that is mitigated quickly when you stop giving a shit.  The apathy is also contagious and helps to drive down the team.  So, I don't agree with the Funchess >>> Chesson, Harris, Darboh.  I'll take a less physically gifted team player over apathy any day.

08/21/2015 - 11:55pm A few answers I know to be true to questions posed above

1. A hit to the head is not necessary to sustain a concussion. A concussion needs only to shake the brain in such a way to disrupt neurologic function. A hit to the body can generate sufficient rotational acceleration to cause a concussion.

2. The sideline neurologist did not have a chance to evaluate Morrs when he first came off the field as everyone was focussed on his ankle and no one on the training or medical staff saw him stumble or show other signs of neurologic dysfunction. The neurologist likely did not see the hit initially.
In this regard many training staffs across the country this year are putting a spotter in the booth to help improve detection (although, in this writer's opinion, and in many others, this is just window dressing as most concussions are either not that obvious or...just that obvious to make this measure pointless).

08/13/2014 - 2:37pm Every time I look at this guy

Every time I look at this guy I think "Knees!".  6'7", long-strider, catching high throws in traffic.  He should just go ahead and schedule his ACL surgery.

That said, if he can fill out and block with decent pad level, he'll be a force.

08/09/2014 - 1:49am I forgot about the matte

I forgot about the matte helmet.  those uniforms were horrific.  If PizzaBoy touches the helmet again I'm going to cut off his johnson.

I believe in nothing...except our traditional home uniform.

10/01/2010 - 2:26pm My rules for rooting

My rules for rooting for/against Michigan rivals:

1.  Always root FOR the Big Ten against other conferences, no matter who is playing.  Strength of conference can only benefit Michigan.

2.  Always root FOR MSU when they play against the weaker half of the conference.  Beating a solid, respected MSU team only benefits Michigan.  Losing to a solid MSU team is damage control.  Losing to a weak MSU team is just miserable.

2a.  Seeing Sparty lose is still enjoyable regardless of the above, which makes watching every MSU game a win-win situation.

3.  Always root FOR Ohio State, be it a non-conference or any Big Ten opponent.  Playing the strongest, most respected Ohio State team possible at the end of the season can only benefit Michigan and the intensity of the rivalry.  Beating a weak Ohio State team is still fun, but beating a strong Ohio State team makes my year.

4.  In general, root AGAINST Notre Dame.  Nothing good ever comes of the Irish winning.  Even if they are playing Ohio State or MSU, the continued decay of the Notre Dame football myth is always enjoyable.  No good can come of Notre Dame beating a Big Ten opponent.

4a.

i.  If USC is in national championship contention, root FOR Notre Dame.  Making the Pac-10 look weak is in our benefit, and...hating on USC is fun.  Plus, giving the Domers a little something positive is important for perpetuating the continued cycle of crushing their hope of returning to former glory.

ii.  If USC is not in national championship contention, root AGAINST the Domers.  It's the last game of their season, watching them walk dejectedly into their locker room at the end of the season is awesome.
