MGOBLOG 3.0 sticky for bugs

Submitted by Seth on August 23rd, 2018 at 10:15 PM

We are using this thread to collect all the (fixable) feedback for the new site in one spot, and if you're seeing it on the main page it means I've updated the OP content.

If you've noticed any bugs in the site post them here and if you have constructive criticism we very much appreciate it. The developers are also going to be in this thread. Even if we can't always respond, you're being heard.

UPDATE 8/23/2018:

We met at HUEL HQ today and worked through a lot of things.

Today I find myself with my heart very full.

A loving wife who I dote on, and who (somehow??) also dotes on me.

Our eldest son (13) is having his first Valentine's Day with his very first girlfriend...and I am living vicariously through this young man today...

I know CSB and all that, but I thought spreading a little bit of positivity can't hurt!

I'll try not to make this a shill post, though I concede it has some shill aspects to it.

For those familiar, have any of you sent BAT tips to MgoBlog to help support the site?  I recently downloaded the brave browser and attempted to contribute, though it looks like Brian has not signed up to receive contributions yet.  My initial impression is that this seems like a great way to reward content creators.  Since this was the site I visit most often, this was my first choice to donate (also helps that I was given about $15 in grant tokens).

OT: Michigan/Disney Merch Question

OT: Michigan/Disney Merch Question

Random question: My kid can't get enough Mickey Mouse and I was wondering if anyone knows where to get any shirts with Mickey Mouse wearing Maize and Blue? There's a great pennant at MDen with Football Mickey Mouse wearing Maize and Blue with the Winged helmet but no shirts. The only ones I see online look unauthorized and sketchy at best. Anyone have any links or know where to find any good Disney/Michigan gear?

Sorry if this offends anyone. This is not meant to be an indictment of James Earl Jones. But if we are being honest, Mufasa has some serious character flaws that cannot be overlooked.

He teaches his son and heir to the crown to be disrespectful towards their servants when he conducts a "pouncing lesson" on Zazu, against Zazu's wishes.

He doesn't discipline Simba AT ALL when he defies his father's wishes and takes his friend to the elephant graveyard.

I hope this thread isn't redundant from FauxMo's thread below, but I'm wondering what tips everyone has to winterize your home? Everyone knows to turn off and blow out exterior water lines, but I read recently that you should also clear snow away from the air vents around the foundation of your house. I would never have even thought of this.

So it got me thinking, it would make a great thread to share ideas and tips to make your home cozier and safer as snowmageddon 2019 approaches. (Looking at you, XM)

Sam Webb's Laugh Brings So Much Joy

At the end of John U. Bacon's segment on WTKA this morning, Sam let out one of the greatest belly laughs I've ever heard.  I love Sam's laugh and this outburst is one for the ages.  The whole segment is great, talking about the great U of M basketball centers and the steroid era in baseball.

Skip to 26:17 to hear it.  Sam makes another "pitching a tent in Schembechler Hall" type of comment and JUB cashes in.

Happy Friday! Go Blue, beat IU!

The way I feel about "advanced" sports analytics is the way I feel about instant replay and cell phones: the world was generally better off without them. And yet, I plan to attend this event so I can make partial sense of all the gobblety-gook stats you millennials keep throwing out on this here discussion board to prove that somehow a pitcher with a 4-13 record is more valuable to his team than one with 20 wins. If an advanced metric can make signing Phil Coke seem like a good idea, well then we are all damned to hell. And what are all these kids doing on my lawn?
