ED-Seth: Welcome to our Bar Finder Sticky. The user community has kept this going since 2009 to help MGoBloggers find UM-friendly sites for their suds consumption.

We also got a big boost in curation in 2016 from our sponsors, the...

...since most of these bars are officially alumni bars. To find your club and events happening in your area, visit their website.

A couple weeks ago, I put together a google map with all of the Michigan bars I'm aware of (and also everything from the spreadsheet that bouje has been maintaining.) The map is here.

Hopefully this will prevent the "where's the Michigan bar in Pittsburgh/Fresno/Topeka/wherever" threads that pop up every week, but if your favorite gameday hangout isn't on here, put it in the thread and let me know.  I'll do my best to keep the map up to date.

One tough Wolverine - Declan Mitchell

One tough Wolverine - Declan Mitchell

"Each Friday, Declan Mitchell goes to Riley’s Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis.

If you went there looking for him, he would be the one dressed head-to-toe in sports attire, as he always is: jersey, socks, the whole works. Sometimes it’s Michigan gear. Sometimes it’s a LeBron James day. Sometimes it’s the Indiana Pacers.

Declan’s mother, Sarah, says he likes to show off his uniform to the nurses.

And then Declan, just 11 years old, sits in a chair for four hours and gets a blood infusion. Once a week. Every week.

The Time Ted Bundy Got His Ass Kicked in a U-M Bar

Just finished watching the excellent Netflix documentary series about Ted Bundy, "Conversations With a Killer." I never knew about his U-M connection before - and a new tidbit was revealed in the documentary.

Bundy escaped from jail in Colorado on December 30, 1977. It's apparently well-known (although I didn't know this) that after he took a flight from Denver to Chicago, he hopped on a train to Ann Arbor and on Jan. 2, 1978, he was in a bar in Ann Arbor to watch Washington play Michigan in the Rose Bowl. (We won't talk about that game.)

New in-state offer: 2022 CB Will Johnson

New in-state offer: 2022 CB Will Johnson

Michigan offered 2022 cornerback Will Johnson from Grosse Pointe (MI) South. He has offers from Kentucky and MSU and a few others. He's also the son of former Michigan defensive back Deon Johnson, who played for the Wolverines in the early 1990s.

Here are his highlights if you're interested (LINK).

He visited MSU this past season when Michigan went in and beat the Spartans, so that could be a good thing. But AFAIK, he didn't visit Michigan.
