The 247 board summed up…

The 247 board summed up right now

Not gonna lie he's probably…

Not gonna lie he's probably right. Any of you watch any of the games? This is exactly what happens in every game. The Game was the perfect example of this happening, deer in the headlights-esque gameplan. Same ole gameplan we used playing every other team, not exposing one of their defensive weaknesses, pathetic. When you have a massive amount of offensive talent and you can't put together a creative gameplan to utilize them, there is something going behind the curtains.

Cristobal out bid his former…

Cristobal out bid his former head coach. He better watch out next signing day cause after Kirby Smart outbid him on players last year, he came back with vengeance!

I was at that game, don't…

I was at that game, don't remind me.

Personally this is what I am…

Personally this is what I am thinking as well. With the possibility of having 3 5-stars and 2 four-stars in the rotation ahead of you, the chances of playing time are slim. Although, each of those players are at different positions. Hinton will be a DT, Harrison and Ojabo will be WDE, Karlaftis and Morris will be 3-tech's, and Newburg will be SDE. I just feel like guys such as Tyrece Woods and Newburg could possibly be told to take a couple visits.

Gotta believe that both…

Gotta believe that both Keegan AND Ike are now the utmost priority

The only one that they would…

The only one that they would consider doing this to would be Paea. They're not going to do that to Hudson. Although, I will say I was kinda upset when they moved him to OT, because I liked him so much at DT!

He won't replace Nico. It…

He won't replace Nico. It looks from both production and from Shea's connection with him, that he isn't getting replaced. When Tarik returns he more than likely will just be added into the rotation with DPJ and Nico, he won't take reps away from them though.

Its not about his production…

Its not about his production, but his potential in the NFL. Dude is 6'8 265 and runs a 4.6 with good hands. The measurables alone give him a 3rd-4th round grade, with everything else he looks to be an early 2nd rounder, and if he gets going even more maybe a 1st rounder.

Recruits are going to play a…

Recruits are going to play a heavy part in next years roster depending on how we end up finishing this class. If we are able to hit on our remaining high level targets, our depth is going to be MUCH better. Hinton, Hill, Charbonnet, and probably Rumler are going to be 2 deep or better when they get into fall camp. *If* we were to land our highest ranked targets such as Harrison, Karlaftis, Ford, Keegan, and Crouch most of them would be in the 2 deep or better as well. That would be a lot of high level talent coming in that would be hard to keep off the field.

I would have to guess its Ian Stewart

Just to update everyone, he cancelled his visit due to travel problems

I have a hard time seeing Eric Gray staying in this class with all the noise that is surrounding him. I really think he is an electric player and think losing him would be pretty unfortunate

This Bama team is a different animal, holy shit

In reality, we need all three

In reality, we need all three

Yeah, I think this is true…

Yeah, I think this is true. My thought is that they are just giving the boys more time to learn the playbook, pick up reads, learn their assignments better, and hone their technique a little more, so they are prepared for the bulk of the schedule.

Honestly the second team OL…

Honestly the second team OL looked better in their limited action. I still believe they need to get the young guys in there as soon as possible

Still looks like the Tackles…

Still looks like the Tackles are huge liabilities and passing is still going to be difficult. I really hope that this game was to establish the run game and next week we dial it up passing vs SMU. Also, I wouldn't take this game too serious either with the run. Last week Syracuse put up 300 yards running against WMU and we just eclipsed 300 today so hold your breath.

Karlaftis is probably…

Karlaftis is probably thinking a little bit about his commitment. I think he would be able to challenge for a starting spot if he were to come here. He did also say during the summer that he was going to be open to other schools, more importantly, Michigan, if either Brohm left or they tanked. Seems like tanking might be in the cards, as it looks like a probable 2-3 win season.

It might be shitty but if we…

It might be shitty but if we can somehow manage to get 2 of Keegan, Ike, or Benhart to commit, one  of those players in a guard-tackle toss up position should be given a firm handshake. We can NOT take anymore guys who end up moving inside

Just gonna give you guys…

Just gonna give you guys something to look into for evidence. I'm leaning in the direction of some iminent suspensions, but you guys look for yourselves.

Concerned, although slightly, but still concerned

Warrinner may have had some…

Warrinner may have had some information about it, but like most of you have said, this is solely on urban meyer. Meyer knew that Smith had past involvements at florida, so any information of the 2015 involvements were known about and not new. It isn't on the shoulders of an assistant coach to do something about a guy who the head coach has been associated with for a decade, he can't fire this guy, and he couldn't because he doesn't hold the authority to, nor do the rest of the coaches on his staff. As a leader or head of an organization, anything like this is your responsibility. If Warrinner's wife knew, it isn't her responsibilty either, it would be the wife of the head coach to inform Urban of this. The blame can be scapegoated to assistants, but again it all falls on the shoulders of the head coach and administration, meyer knowingly kept this guy on the staff.

Okay so...

1) He is a take

2) We are in the lead for Keegan, not at all a longshot, and there is going to be a scholarship for him no matter what the class size is even if it is at 45 players

3) Again, he is a take

4) He wouldn't be a APB, like it was mentioned earlier thats just a name scouts have for a guy who is capable of playing multiple offensive positions revolving around running back

5) Eric gray is listed as an APB because ^ but will only play running back

6) Quavaris is being pitched as a myles jack type player, even if we have our 2 RBS and Giles commited, the pitch for crouch to play here is even stronger because he would rather play LB and wouldn't be presured to play RB

7) We lead for Giles and his numbers at the opening were ridiculous and was one of the top performers there

If you have ever been to…

If you have ever been to Notre Dames campus/South Bend, it is literally the only thing thats nice in that area, you basically can't leave campus. The rest of the surrounding city is a shithole. Everything good about UofM is that the city and the campus are completely intergrated, and the surrounding areas around the campus are actually nice.

He is right!

He is right!

If you watch his tape he is…

If you watch his tape he is a lot more than an offer to get Cine, kid is really good!

Given how recruiting usually…

Given how recruiting usually works, there is always going to be possible attrition to come if an opportunitity presents itself. If a top 30 player wants to commit and we are without room, the 'ole "look around" approach could be given, and If that isn't the case, firm handshakes will be given to struggling players or ones who would benefit more playing elsewhere would happen. The staff wouldn't pass up on someone of that nature just cause they are afraid of hurting feelings. There are a couple of players I could see leaving if we have a great season. Also, harrod is someone I might take off the board, with keegan being the top. target and him struggling in camps, it doesn't seem like it's gonna work out.

Honestly this is a point I…

Honestly this is a point I can actually agree with. If he ends up taking another trip up here for the BBQ before he commits, I would put our chances at an even 50/50, right now I see it at a 30% chance of landing him. Hopefully the staff is pushing him to take that trip!

I'd say we are done for…

I'd say we are done for tonight. But, tommorow we will be getting DJ Turner

If I had any guess of who…

If I had any guess of who will committing, I would have to say DJ Turner shouldn't be taken as a surprise given he is committing on monday. I would go with Quinten Johnson, Ojabo, Mazi Smith. There are also some surprise guys I would be waiting for too...

In all honesty, this is what…

In all honesty, this is what I wanted to do as a career. Have all the inside access to a top program, be able to travel with the team, get all the gear, and be paid for it. Although, doing this job would probably require you to work nearly 14 hour days, 7 days a week sometimes, and that would not nearly make that 80k salary worthwhile, it would still be cool.

This is a great, that is…

This is a great, that is exactly what everyone needs to realize too. Its summer, he just finished his sophomore year, he's is gonna grow a ton this summer in particular and even more til he actually signs! WIll probably be 6' or 6'1 when he signs

He's got some good looking film and can only see him getting more and more respect throughout the rest of his time in high school!

No it is still michigan. If…

No it is still michigan. If you look to the right side of the page you see the expert predictions, and they are listed under either michigan or penn state and Wiltfongs stands out without the VIP as a UofM prediction

I don't either, but do you…

I don't either, but do you call the airport detroit even though its in romulus? Metro detroit gets called detroit for the sake of not having to name every single city within forty miles of it.

Super fast kid, great ball…

Super fast kid, great ball skills played WR as well. Should also be in for a heavy ranking bump too from the opening this summer as well. Getting johnson could also be a great piece not just as a player, but also as a recruiting key at St.Johns. We are also recruting their RB Keilian Robinson and 2020 WR Rakim Jarrett, who both are heavily interested in us.

Getting the feeling that in…

Getting the feeling that in 2020 (If we recruit them hard enough) we won't even have to leave the state for top WR talent!

This is the next big-time DB…

This is the next big-time DB out of detroit. The sub 4.4 forty has been timed multiple places as well, his coverage skills are legit and is as close to the hip as a corner his age can be!

I like this list but...

I would change out a few targets. I’d switch Harrod with Keegan solely based on Warinner’s remaining spots at OT. I’d also remove Velasquez, because I’d bet he receives an OSU offer and plays both baseball and football there. Lastly, I’d be very optimistic with Dax Hill and our TE recruiting, look for those to improve with this upcoming season.

Play nationally then

its how most teams of their caliber play anyways. You think IMG plays teams locally in florida? No, they go nationally and play the best. SFA should play high level DMV teams and teams of sort within 1000 miles.

Yeah I've been seeing that too

I feel like Warinner is probably going to try and key on Keegan, Benhart, and probably some higher ranked tackle/s exclusively since the rest of the class is pretty much done in his position group. Thanks for the info

Where/When he say that?

I haven't been listening to WTKA recently. FInishing the Class with Benhart and Keegan would be crazy!

Just linked his tape

it is very impressive to say the least.

I am so tired of these articles

Each team has been filled with some type of short-coming. If our punter would have just kept the ball, we would have beaten MSU in 2015, if we get a stop in the OSU game in 2016 we go to the playoff, If we have a competent QB last year, we win 10 games and probably beat MSU. There may be a ton of "If's" but its true. The blame is gonna be on harbaugh but in all honesty, the luck and crappy situations turned the heat up, and that is why he is constantly faced with these types of articles.

I feel I’m repeating myself

but everyone needs to calm down on Dobbs, I’ve seen him in person and can not understand how he is ranked as high as he is. In all honesty he might be a camp circuit guy for how high he was ranked. Also we wanted him as a DT, that should tell you something about how the staff evaluated him. If he did come here though, he would have to bulk up and move inside at guard, and compared to some other five star guard prospects, he lacks behind. One recruit projected at the same spot (OG) I would be mad about losing is Zach Carpenter, that kids tape and physicals look to be a future All-American. Also, Coach warinner has been turning up the heat on OT recruits lately and Trevor Keegan to be exact. I’d say with the addition of those two and possibly a surprise OT commit or Harrod, if we still in fact want him, our OL class this year could be outstanding. And another point, I know every year we say “wait til next year” but 2020’s OL signing class could be REALLY good too, warinner has begun to put his mark on things already.

I don't understand all the hype

on dobbs. I have watched him play in person and on film, and I can honestly say he is not that impressive. All the crying ranking fiends on here are just looking at the fifth star he holds. Stars really fool people. 2016 I watched MSU WR Cody White play in high school and he tore up the opposing teams, it then translated to MSU as a freshman. Talent is talent, and the in pads eye test is much more telling than a no pads camp setting with all reps being 1on1's. I trust a veteran coaches scouting report versus a journalists camp based/highlight based ranking. These recruting sites may get a few of these players right but they may only get to one quarter or less of football per these players to justify and collect their opinions of them.
