Horrible post.  Wink…

This.

Horrible post.  Wink still needs to interview, be offered the job, and ACCEPT it.

So he said exactly what…

So he said exactly what Scott Bell indicated in his newsletter and, let me guess, after the newsletter came out.

As already stated and known by almost everyone, Yoder is a complete hack and has absolutely zero inside information. Oh, and he's annoying as hell.  I'm not sure why anyone would want to listen to him.

So with a completely…

So with a completely overhauled coaching staff, young team, and already obvious improvement in almost every facet of the game, you think anything short of beating OSU and winning the division is "Fire Harbaugh" territory?  Good grief.  Some people just cannot be happy for even a moment.

This is a bad take.

This is a bad take.

I really like these hires,…

I really like these hires, but don't see how you can say Shoop will hang for the long haul.  More likely that he's a one-year rental.  Would be great if that's not the case.

Who knows, maybe DB Sr. will take over next year after spending another year learning from one of the best?  The future is hard to predict.

"Trying hard to be all…

"Trying hard to be all things, which, it turns out, is also hard."

I think that Harbaugh wants to win more than any of us, but also wants very much to do it his way.  He wants to recruit high-character kids who care about education and are willing to work hard, both on and off the field; he wants to prepare them for life beyond football; he wants to develop a team-first mentality; and though he may be willing to go to the edges of the rules, he still wants to play within them.  At the end of the day, he wants to compete with the big boys and expand the Michigan brand in the process, but would like nothing more than to show everyone, or perhaps just himself, that it can be done the "right" way.  And he's finding out that this is all very hard to do.

Just my opinion of course.

Would be nice if this site…

Would be nice if this site had an ignore feature.

I'm not sure I follow the…

"Saban has been all ornery about this the past few years, because his entire staff has turned over and everyone out there is copying his plan. Then he realized he needed to adapt his approach."

I'm not sure I follow the last part here.  How has Saban adapted his approach to correct this?

I'd love to see your list.

I'd love to see your list.

Probably James Hudson as…

Probably James Hudson as well.

I'm not sure I would agree…

I'm not sure I would agree that he was "exposed" or that he is now on 247 exclusively.  It was only a few days ago that the Filiaga post in question was made here.

I do agree that it was a big miss though.

Not sure what games you were…

Not sure what games you were watching, but I never got the impression that Nico's hands were a problem. A drop here and there, sure, but the dude makes a lot of tough catches.

Rutgers has more NFL talent…

Rutgers has more NFL talent than us right now? What does this comment even mean?

Amen.

Amen.

You've "earned" that right? …

You've "earned" that right?  Give me a break. You're a fan, nothing more. And the worst kind at that. You haven't earned shit. You're just unhappy that things aren't going the way you want them to, so think it's your god given right to bitch about it.

No, actually it's not all in…

No, actually it's not all in the other thread. Not sure there's reason for you to be a smartass about it either way.

Yep, sure.  He doesn't see…

Yep, sure.  He doesn't see what absolutely everyone else sees.  Thanks for making my point.

First, I'm not hanging on to anything.  I just know enough to understand that the future of this program was not decided in a game on Saturday that we actually won, and one in which we beat a pretty good team.  It wasn't pretty by a long shot, but it's the 5th game in a new system, we've been fighting a few key injuries, and sometimes things take time, despite our wishes to the contrary.  Second, the backup that you apparently wanted him to put in had a concussion this week.  Third, do you think he gives a shit what you or any of us think about his press conference comments?  Just because you want the offense to be firing on all cylinders won't make it so.  Would it make you feel better if he called it all a shitshow to the press?  Do you think that would help to improve the offense, get them to stay together, keep working hard, correct their mistakes, trust their coaches?

Good lord man. When will it…

Good lord man. When will it stop? So Harbaugh, a Pro Bowl quarterback who played 14 years in the NFL, and has had success at every coaching stop he's made, including Michigan, knows absolutey nothing about offense? But you and half of the other Internet gurus here and elsewhere would have this shit corrected in no time.

Things are clearly not going as well as any of us would like, but the incessant hot takes by clueless Internet know-it-alls are making this board impossible to read.

I don't think the OP is…

I don't think the OP is necessarily inaccurate.  Perhaps it's not extremely clear, but it's still true that a RS this year would preserve his 3 years of remaining eligibility and still keep open the possibility of immediate eligibility next year following a transfer.  It's obviously not a guarantee that it will be granted, but it sure seems to be the case more often than not these days and your coach being fired mid-season sounds like a more reasonable stand than many others have taken.

Really, he has very little to lose if he redshirts this year, other than the chance to get blown up week after week for the remainder of the season.

Except that we, meaning the…

Except that we, meaning the average fan, actually know almost nothing about the specifics of the situation, whereas the coaches are basing their decisions on a lot more information.

Yet many fans share their opinions/concerns as if they somehow know better, which does nothing more than set up their ability to say "I told you so" if something does happen to go wrong.  Yeah, maybe, but it was still a complete guess.

Is it even safe to assume that Dwumfour "re-aggravated" the injury that has been limiting him in camp?  I'm not sure it is.

First post, and this is what…

First post, and this is what you've decided to go with?

Feels much more like trolling to me.  And look, you've succeeded.  Congratulations.

Should be a thumbs up/down…

Should be a thumbs up/down at the top right of the OP.

Bang me please. It's been…

Bang me please. It's been awhile.

Except Northwestern is 1st…

Except Northwestern is 1st in the Big Ten, so a negative correlation doesn't hold water either.  I'm sure I've read somewhere about the flaws of the APR system, but can't recall the details.  Maybe somebody with more knowledge can enlighten us.

I get that the M doctors…

I get that the M doctors said no and appreciate that they are looking out for the player's best interest (medically).  The confusing part is that BSJ sounds like he is bitter about it.  That's unfortunate if so.

This is a ridiculous take.

This is a ridiculous take.

Game over.  Gonzaga goes…

Game over.  Gonzaga goes down.  Could be good for Michigan if we enter as a 2/3 seed and Duke moves up to a 1.

I don't think the outcome of…

I don't think the outcome of Saturday's game has much, if anything, to do with Harrison's ultimate destination.  Nor should it.

Anything out there on…

Anything out there on Solomon?

I think they are only sort…

I think they are only sort of back.  My total seems to be moving for the first time in forever, but I still can't vote.  Baby steps...

Testing 1, 2, 3. Testing.

Testing 1, 2, 3. Testing.

Go away.

Go Away.

So Harbaugh is a "good"…

So Harbaugh is a "good" coach?

Ok.  At some point in the next few years, everyone who follows Michigan football is finally going to realize that we have one of the best coaches in the game.  And the list will be very short.

Based on what?

Based on what?

Peters has not been passed…

Peters has not been passed by Milton.

As others have said, we may…

As others have said, we may see some struggles, particularly on the offensive end through the first half of the season.  I think we could compete for the B1G on the strength of the defense and JB's ability to get his teams primed for the stretch run, but I think we are still a year away from being an elite team.

I don't want to discount our chances to have a great season, but when you look at that roster and realize that we most likely only lose Matthews next year...holy crap.

Just for clarity, the quote…

Just for clarity, the quote from Crouch in the OP was from an interview he did last week:

https://www.thestate.com/sports/college/university-of-south-carolina/usc-recruiting/phil-kornblut/article220219610.html

He visited Clemson (unofficially) over the weekend and Wiltfong said afterward that he thought Clemson made a move and is probably in the driver's at the moment.  Obviously Michigan still has a great chance, with his official visit to AA still to come (where we typically knock it out of the park), but wanted to add some context to the timing of events cited in the original post.

Also worth noting, he hasn't used his official to Clemson yet.

Really hope we can land this kid.

If I could upvote this 1000…

If I could upvote this 1000 times, I would.  Actually, if I could upvote it just once, that would be nice, but I have no voting ability since the update.

But seriously, this has been discussed ad nauseam.

Nobody here knows the answer.  It's all just speculation, much of which tends to question Gary's character, motivation, impact and/or commitment to the team.

To date, he has been everything we should want in a Michigan player.  Can we just let this play out before making any assertions or judgments?

And if Gary suits up against…

And if Gary suits up against Penn State in two weeks, you'll be just another internet know-it-all making a definitive statement about something you actually know nothing about. At a kid's expense. But will there be any mea culpa, an apology of any kind, or just another shameless bs post the next time there is something to be absolutely "sure" about?

My money is on the latter.

Just checking in again to…

Just checking in again to say: (i) still no way to vote, and (ii) still no change in points.  I know I'm not alone.

Archaic as it was, I really miss the old site.  Sure, it looked really dated, went down too often and had it's own bugs, but coming on here every day and having to look at features that I no longer have access to is extraordinarily frustrating.

This is what Crouch is…

This is what Crouch is quoted as saying in that TigerNet article:

"I would say Michigan is number one, but the weather is crazy.  I feel like Michigan and Clemson are tied for number one."

This kid is unusually focused on the weather.  Either that or he is just more transparent about it than most recruits.  I think the bigger thing here is that Michigan needs to keep winning.  Weather won't mean a thing if we end up in the CFP this year.

Just counting the numbers…

Just counting the numbers isn't a fair assessment of the depth at LB.  A true freshman is not really where we would want to turn if needed.  Losing Singleton will hurt depth in a very real sense.  To think otherwise is silly.

I agree that we'll be fine, but it would certainly be preferred to have him here.

The thing to keep in mind…

The thing to keep in mind here is that the seat numbers run counterclockwise, in the opposite direction of the section numbers.

So seats 1 and 2 in section 8 are actually next to section 9, not section 7.

Oh, Woody Wommack at Rivals…

Oh, Woody Wommack at Rivals said it.  I guess it must be true.

Everything I've read has…

Everything I've read has Jones targeted for tackle.  Michigan is recruiting him to play there.

But go ahead, let's stir up the "sky is falling" mantra if we don't land Keegan or Benhart.

I'm still in this same boat…

I'm still in this same boat as well.

Point total stuck on 660 since the upgrade, can't see any way to vote and and can't see the vote totals on individual posts.

I posted about this same…

I posted about this same issue separately, but in response to the above post from humanelement:

The up-vote/down-vote options do not appear at all for me.  My point total does not change.  It has been stuck at 460 for weeks.  Reloading makes no difference.

Still can't upvote/downvote,…

Still can't upvote/downvote and my own (meager) point total appears to be stuck in the sand.

I have the same issues on all browsers and platforms.

It's starting to feel like this may never change.  Sad face.

Assuming you meant to say…

Assuming you meant to say MSU and not Michigan.

And I'm not so sure about this being 4D chess.  The OSU response to this is not that complicated.

Well done.  Will somebody…

Well done.  Will somebody please upvote this gentlemen for me?

The blog upgrade hath taken my powers away.
