"not having any HC…

"not having any HC experience. Dusty doesn’t really have much either. "

He has 6 years of D1 hc experience and has won 65%of his games.

"His FF run seems more of a “flash in pan” than consistency. "

The FF run was last year and he had another good team this year. Literally not enough data for you to say you want to see more consistency.

"mentioned Alex Orji first -…

"mentioned Alex Orji first - this seems to be a trend"

I would love the trend to start including mentions of him passing the ball well and not just that he is a beast and hard to tackle...

Just speculating, but I…

Just speculating, but I wonder if it was due to him expecting to be the guy last year and Blake coming back unexpectedly and it putting him in a weird headspace.

Because they are all grad…

Because they are all grad transfers?

I feel like this has been stated numerous times

Six foot eight, weighs a fucking ton

How do you come on the pod…

How do you come on the pod and go, "Lville wasn't a good program in the 70s and 80s, right?"

May also went to HS 90 miles…

May also went to HS 90 miles from Lville.

May also went to HS 90 miles…

May also went to HS 90 miles from Lville.

Again, one year at EMU…

Again, one year at EMU. Almost 20 in the south and mid south.

He went to High School less than two hours and 90 miles from Louisville, and over 5 hours away from AA.

I'm just saying this whole "he's a Midwestern guy and Lville isn't that, that's why he didn't pick them" thing is just kinda you manufacturing and rationalizing things that sound good.

May is a midwest guy, but he…

May is a midwest guy, but he has spent his entire coaching career (18 years) in the south or mid south (Kentucky, Louisiana, Alabama and Florida) bar one year at EMU

One of those coaches is Rick…

One of those coaches is Rick Pitino and the other is Dusty May.

I really don't think Rooths…

I really don't think Rooths is an option to come back. It was reported he and Dug are close, and he de-committed like an hour after Dug went to the portal. I don't think that was a coincidence and I don't think he is coming back.

lol

lol

Its not "hyperbolic" its…

Its not "hyperbolic" its literally what happened.

"FAU didn't really play…

"FAU didn't really play anyone, night in and night out."

The AAC was the 9th best conference in the NET this year and FAU played, TAMU, Arizona, Illinois in the non-con, as well as teams like Butler and Va Tech

" I wanted Warde to pull the brinks truck up and make Jay Wright or Calipari an offer"

So two guys that absolutely were not coming to UM?

I mean by definition, yes he…

I mean by definition, yes he did.

Jesus, why are you goobers trying so hard to dismiss him already? ffs.

FAU was a terrible program, and we won with them. Took them to a final four, and then won 25 games the next season, beating TAMU and Arizona. Yes, they looked bad against Northwestern, but he built up a bad program to one that won at a level way above their status.

No, they made the final four…

No, they made the final four because they beat Memphis, FDU, 4 seed Tennessee and 3 seed K-State and then lost by 1 to the National Runners-up.

Then they moved up to a tougher conference, finished 2nd in it, won 25 games and beat Texas A&M and Arizona.

My dude, we are both saying…

My dude, we are both saying we like May.

My comment was responding to TMG who is making it sound like its a bad hire because he's like Enfield parlaying one good year, but Enfield has been a good hire for USC.

The same Andy Enfield who…

The same Andy Enfield who has won 60% of his games since going to USC, was PAC12 COY and has a 24 win, 25 win and two 26 win seasons at a place that doesn't really care about bball?

Well, typically UM would…

Well, typically UM would have depth in the WR room

He's still more experienced…

He's still more experienced than true frosh or thin air.

Man, I love Kampe, but this…

Man, I love Kampe, but this is a crazy suggestion.

How does this continue to be…

How does this continue to be repeated?

Osborn is not a Ravens coach. He hasn't been since 2022. He is the DC for Biff at Charlotte and was all last season

babalola babalola babalola…

babalola babalola babalola babalola babalola babalola babalola babalola

UofL and UM are reportedly…

UofL and UM are reportedly both after Dusty May, so....

No. Who cares?

It is…

No. Who cares?

It is annoying how much this board whines and talks about Draymond, and it's just because he's a Sparty. If he went to UCLA he and his antics would only ever get a passing mention and some jokes here and there.

They aren't "rewarding his behavior" he gets ads because he's famous and a big name. Let's be honest, most of the people here who complain about his "behavior" only do so because of where he went to school and not because they really care how he acts.

It's getting tougher to tease Sparty when we keep acting little brother-ish as well.

This place is so weird…

This place is so weird sometimes, lol.

For months, most of the posters here have been super critical of Juwan and eviscerated him often for his many failings and the issues within the program. But now you are all up in arms about the grave offense of calling him a failure when he just coached the worst team in most of our lifetimes and has left the program in a spot where it has like 2 players on the roster and will take years to rebound.

Its not that bad (or wrong) of a headline, and the indignation and feigning of offense in here is absurd.

How does it appear that way?…

How does it appear that way? Lol

If you are knocking the Colo…

If you are knocking the Colo St coach for not beating UM then you are just looking for reasons.

Imagine calling an 18 yr old…

Imagine calling an 18 yr old soin to be college athlete a little boy. What a goober comment, lol.

Damn, you must be so cool telling everyone how you never heard of the top recruit in the class. Such a badass to not care if he comes or not!

What?

Why would he start…

What?

Why would he start right away now that Dug is gone, they play different positions.

He would've potentially started anyway, but Dug leaving is likely part of why he is gone,  since they were close.

Who is still technically* on…

Who is still technically* on the roster for next year?

Jace

Burnett

Tschetter

Reed

Khayat

Phat Phat

Anderson

What has Yaklich done to…

What has Yaklich done to deserve CIW?

Nailed it

Nailed it

Welp.

Welp.

Juwan could do himself a…

Juwan could do himself a favor and look for transfers that can get in,  and not tell dudes they can come without knowing if they can or not.

Football has been able to use the portal quickly and effectively by identifying the right guys.

Juwan has had a few off…

Juwan has had a few off-putting passive aggressive comments in pressers this year, and his comment about "I didn't know I was being interviewed at this time" when asked if he should be back next year is another one.

Dude just does not want to keep any of the good will he's built up and dude is not handling the pressure well.

It's not. It's pretty…

It's not. It's pretty universally well regarded and won a bunch of awards.

They won't come here.

They won't come here.

You sure it's that coveted right now?

The BIG is not the best conference in CBB any more.

It's not "a rival's coach"…

It's not "a rival's coach" it's OSU's coach.

My dude, if you don't think…

My dude, if you don't think stealing a well regarded RB coach from our biggest rivals is a big hire, then you are just looking for things to be mad about.

Its weird how some people…

Its weird how some people seem to have this strange need to tell everyone they are not a fan of Caleb Williams or how the guy scouts have all said is the best prospect is no good and absolutely a bust.

Yeah, he should of just…

Yeah, he should of just written his messages on his shoes or gloves or tape like everybody else does.

Or are those immature and bad leadership too? Or is it just because he painted stuff on his fingernails?

Tennessee has Levis.  They…

Tennessee has Levis.  They aren't going QB this year.

"There are considerations…

"There are considerations about how firing Juwan will affect this roster and the incoming players next year, about whether firing him would damage the school's relationship with the Fab Five, and whether, this far away from their playing days, that would even matter in terms of hurting potential recruits and our overall reputation."

These are considerations that should be held for 5 seconds before moving on to consider the current state of the program and what the best move is for the program moving forward.

SanDiegoWolverine and this…

SanDiegoWolverine and this comment disappointed so today. They really shit the beef against facts.

"Unfortunately, Angelique…

"Unfortunately, Angelique Chengelis is reporting that Mike Hart will not return as a running backs coach next year...so it seems like this was a decision from Moore."

I don't get how this is the conclusion gathered here.

So Sherrone didn't want Hart back but waited months to officially move on, seemingly hasn't been looking for a replacement during this time, and missed the window of available coaches?

Or Sherrone gave Mike time to figure things (or health) out and either Mike or the two of them together realized it wasn't tenable. This seems more likely, idk.

"So, you either trust the…

"So, you either trust the coaches to get them prepared and put them in position to win games with their skill sets or you don't. "

No, that's not the situation. These comments are not about if the staff can get them ready to go or not.

They are about how the only support the "QB will be fine" posters, and tbh even Brian have presented,  is that it would look cool to have an Orji led running offense.

It's fine to be skeptical of the QB situation right now, it's logical. The over positivity about QB is almost fully cuz vibez

How do you think this…

How do you think this supports your point?

That offense isn't "informing" us on next year. It's what we had to do to win that particular game due to a lot of circumstances.
