Guy on that list I was most hopeful for was Asiasi, was bummed when he transferred. I know he wanted to be closer to family but I think he would of thrived in our O. But not the Gattis O.
I moved to DirecTV Now a few months back and love it! They just added NFL Network a couple weeks ago and now they have all sports channels. Cable companies can no longer hold their customers hostage with so many alternatives out there now.
I've been thinking the same way in regards to Rivals. I'm giving 24/7 a trial run with their special summer offer and it's been good so far. They seem to be all over recruiting info while Rivals always seems to be a step behind.
Gary is all Maize & Blue, no need to worry here. Clemson visit over Alabama all but sealed it. Even if he went to Alabama it would of been a long shot.
Not an ideal thing to do in my opinion but this seems to be the way the coaching staff will handle it. Maybe going into 2017 recruiting they won't be so quick to accept commits for recruits they are not sold on. We need a large sample size to see how this is going to play out.
I'm ok with it as along as Harbaugh is upfront & honest with the kid along with helping him find a suitable landing spot. I would feel bad for the kid to get on campus and never see playing time because the coaches don't believe in his abilities. This move hurts him in the short term but should benefit him in the long term if he lands with a school that is sold on his abilities.
This is the world were going to be living in now, you have to take the good with the bad. Unfortunately these are the kind of tactics it takes to turn over/build this roster up to where we want it to be.
Nothing to worry about at this point. He's taking a visit to enjoy the process. Mods on Rivals have spoken with him and still feel very confident in his commitment.

If he stays local, most insiders think UM would be the school if things look good on the field this year. But he is also considering down South and serious about going to warm climate.
Don't do it, I got in trouble for posting a premium link during the coaching search. Had a couple of the Scout members Google stalk me and post my private info on the board. Very creepy and overreaction.

Scout is great for insider recruiting info, Rivals is better for all around UM FB content. Sam Webb is where it's at though when it comes to recruiting info!
But yes there is nothing else like MGoBlog in the CFB interwebs!
Keep in mind as well that some of these lower rated prospects could be slated for grayshirt offers. Webb had a thread about this on the Scout board a couple days ago.
It looks like this is going to be an approach that this staff is going to take advantage of. This will be something that we are not used to and I'm all for it!
