They're actually not highly rated. I grabbed Brady in the 5th and probably could've waited another round since he's all the way down past #100 in the projections, and Foles came a couple rounds later. I'm not really sure why no one grabbed Foles before me, but I picked Brady earlier than most would.
Okay guys, seriously, if OSU wins a close one, they WILL NOT drop below Auburn or Missouri no matter how big they win in Atlanta. They'll be an undefeated AQ team and, even if voters think Auburn or Missouri is better, they won't put them over an undefeated OSU. Your guys' dream scenario of OSU barely winning, getting jumped and going to the rose bowl with MSU left out of the BCS is NOT going to happen. Plain and simple. You guys have to pick: OSU in the championship game, or MSU in the rose bowl and OSU in another BCS bowl. Yes, it's a lose-lose, but that's how it is. Stop dreaming.
1) Someone else said he was about 50 yards away now, but I don't know the exact numbers.
2) His redshirt is burned. If you play, it's gone. The only exception is getting a season-ending injury in the first three (I think three) games, and that didn't happen.
With one scholarship QB for 2015 they still have four scholarship QB's on the roster plus probably a couple walk-ons. Of they want to get a second 2015 QB, more power to them, but I don't see the need.
Wouldn't he try to contact Hoke to tell him he wasn't going to Michgan if that was the case just as he would if he were? I would think he'd call Hoke either way, but if he hasn't tried to contact Saban (or Muschamp I guess) than I guess it's good news.
Went over someone's foot into the boards. I compressed a vertebrae (didn't break, lucky me) and that wasn't fun, so I'm glad he's okay. Obviously this could have been much worse.
Champions of big 5 conferences (big east doesn't count anymore) and three at large. Really if you're the ninth team and first left out, you have no room to say you should be in the championship discussion like a #5 team does. So I think 8 is a good number.
Gallon is really the only consistent player on the offense it seems like.
Morgan has become very dependable, especially as a tackler.
Gibbons because who else would I pick from special teams?
1) The section was less than half full at kickoff. That's not "looking far more empty", that's just being empty.
2) Above the tunnels were still mostly empty, which is a good maybe 1/4 - 1/5 of the section not showing up.
3) You don't have to wait in line for hours to see the game. You can show up right before game time to watch the team play. Too bad if you don't get in the first ten rows.
4) I can't really argue if you don't want to go or if you couldn't, but there's only around six home games a year that you can go to, so go to them if you can and support the team no matter who they are playing.
I can't say how much Q and Pipkins are playing, bit we are in nickel A LOT, so the nose tackle is out a lot, so they probably aren't playing very much. Both ND and Akron (maybe CMU too bet I don't remember) played a lot of 3-5 wide receiver sets, so the nickel package has been very prevalent so far.
You're not supposed to block the SAM. It's presumed that he can't get to the play because of the mess of blocking going on. Most running plays leave a linebacker unblocked like this. Strong side power leaves the WILL unblocked in the same way.
You just don't have the numbers necessary to do this when two of your guys (QB and RB) can't block. Instead, you leave a guy unblocked and run away from him, leaving a mess of blocking in his way so he can't get to the RB.
What I would be more worried about is that every block on this play is a single block. There is not one double team in there, and with some inexperienced guys (not saying they aren't good), there's the chance that they get beat on a single block.
I was there for that too and thought the same thing watching it later. This year, it was when ND was going for it on fourth down. That was as loud as I've heard the place outside of the roundtree catch in UTL 1, and you can hardly tell on tv.
Not in my mind. I never understood the hype we've been giving them. They had the same kind of game as Air Force last year, but for some reason they are a juggernaut this year. And Siemian threw a pick!!! He is mortal!
Confidence against Sparty: same (I figured they would be crap)
Confidence against Nebraska: increase (about the same on offense as last year, but worse on defense)
Confidence against NW: same (they looked good, not great, against Cal and I still think M should win a good game against them)
I didn't see OSU or ND play
B1G isn't great
