My wife has the very same acoustic neuroma, and after doing a thorough literature review, we found that traditional surgery was not the answer due to the high risk of side effects (facial paralysis, etc). We chose Gamma Knife, which blasts the tumor with focused radiation to stop its growth (it's rare to ever save the cranial nerve). Pleased that her tumor has not grown, but our adventure with several doctors was tenuous, as we had one surgeon (whose name was on the building!) tell us that there was no alternative than traditional surgery. He obviously does not perform the Gamma Knife procedure. I hope the Staffords investigate Gamma Knife or other radiosurgeries because if we had listened to our first doctor, we may not have such a happy ending.
I cut the ATT cord recently, but not literally. You can call the "loyalty" dept at ATT and negotiate a lower cost for internet. They matched the price of our local cable internet service (saved $25/mo) but it was actually easier for them to adjust the price of the lowest uverse bundle instead of going internet only. So I still have a set top box I don't use. They also came and updated our speed for free (much needed, old lines). It cost us a few hours on the phone but ATT wants to keep you in some regard. Also, if u get a rep that rebuffs you, just call back, much of this is discretionary. We added Hulu and can't complain
Pickle juice is confirmed in the literature as a treatment and is thought to be an inhibitory reflex effect in the mouth, as digestion of the liquid volume or absorption of electrolytes takes too long to account for the effects. Further discounting the dehydration, electrolyte depletion hypotheses
Discussed in previous thread but the literature does not support the dehydration and electrolyte depletion hypotheses for exercise associated muscle cramps (EAMC). There is no pathophysiological connection. For full text links to references, please see other thread.
On mobile, tough to copy paste but there are several high quality studies on the first page of scholar.google if you search "exercise associated muscle cramps" review. Hopefully the links work
Over-hydration can actually be fatal, too. It's called hyponatremia and killed a bunch of kids doing an internet challenge trying to down a gallon of water without puking.
If anyone is truly interested in this topic go to scholar.google.com or any other academic search engine and use "exercise associated muscle cramps" in the search and read a few abstracts. LOTS of misinformation out there on this specifically
Using mustard and pickle juice are backed up in the literature for "exercise associated muscle cramps" but it's not due to the electrolytes present or fluid volume (of the juice not mustard) because we get results far quicker than digestion allows. It is thought to be an inhibitory reflex in the mouth that produces the result.
Exercise induced muscle cramps in week 3 is a complete failure by the over-hyped strength and nutrition staff! Research shows that it is not directly correlated or caused by dehydration. People who are hydrated get cramps and there are plenty of people who are dehydrated who do not. Some people are just cramp prone (remember Lebron?) It's not linear in that regard but the fatigue aspect of this is completely controllable. The combination of fatigue and an imbalance between hydration and electrolytes is a troublesome combo.
From the ticket pickup line, to the bars pregame, it was all maize and blue. And inside was an electric atmosphere. Drowning out that war chant was awesome but we got loud for those last few defensive stands. The energy was palpable! Great job, Go Blue!
There are several parking structures close to STAPLES and LA live that can get pretty hectic the closer you get to game time, but are the most convenient and expensive. There are also many vacant lots nearby that are usually less expensive. They look shady but are generally fine. Keep in mind that STAPLES center is the busiest arena in the country, so they know what they are doing. Make sure you account for LA traffic.

It's on Ace's one frame at a time post on front page
We are staying at a local airBnB so we plan on walking to the stadium. Golf Course sounds good, thanks.
I'm interested as well. I'll be making my first trip to the big house and want to get the full Michigan experience.

So then why didn't SMU's offense cramp an equal amount in the 2nd half? Same environment, same amount of time on the field.
Right. Thirst has been shown to be an accurate predictor of hydration level, believe it or not.

Get well, man. We are all pulling for ya. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
I'll look for you in line at the Courtyard Marriott!
Indeed!
Also keep in mind when other events happen downtown. Depending on where you are coming from and when, events like the #marchforourlives may impact you

Fortunately, events at the convention center shouldn't affect us much. See you there!! Go Blue!!

The ol' Scooby Doo/faceless man theory: anyone can be wearing a mask
Thank you FauxMo for putting the research methods in context and not just generalizing a crazy statistic!! Appreciate it!
So what's the tally now for NFL experience within the program??
Maybe he took this guy's advice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1qCYhjRX94
That is a world class mullet right there!
I also think Arya will kill Cersei but will do it with the face of one of the Lannister siblings, thus fulfilling the prophecy.

This is the biggest detractor of scheduling a "real" game week one.
The old bait and switch! Classic.
I mean, 2 out of 3 ain't bad, right?!?
Sorry to disappoint, but I guess unfortunate timing on my part. Long time lurker finally made an account.
Great recruiting win!
