The article said they the Lions to win one more and then lose.  I would avoid betting on TB to beat Detroit.  Sounds like they want Detroit to fall in the NFC championship game.

Sounds like the rich guys want Detroit to win one more game to really empty out the pockets of Michiganders hoping they’ll either win the NFC and/or the Super Bowl.

”Detroit playing more games is good for the sportsbook, but eventually we need the Lions to lose”

I mean, Justin Herbert is…

I mean, Justin Herbert is like a 6’-5” version of JJ.  If I’m Jim, it’s got some appeal

My instant reaction to Pete…

My instant reaction to Pete parting with Seattle is that Harbaugh would be the exact same hire for them years later — A guy who had success in the NFL as an HC, then goes to college and has tons of success.  There’s just a lot of parallels between the two.  Seattle is the first coaching vacancy I've seen that actually makes a lot of sense for Jim imho.

This is going to be the craziest NFL head coach carousel.  Look at the possible HCs:

Vrabel, Harbaugh, Belichick(?), Ben Johnson, AG, Dan Quinn, Mike McDonald, etc.

Anyone else notice…

Anyone else notice Washington’s players dancing prematurely after plays while they were up two scores vs. Texas, game very much not in hand?  Texas inevitably battles back, then the RB injury grants an extra 30 seconds from thin air.  DeBoer had the same look on his face that I’d seen on Harbaugh’s years ago— blank disbelief as an improbable comeback was occurring at his expense.  Unfortunately for the Longhorns, 4 straight regrettable playcalls doomed their moment for glory.  Perhaps if Texas was hardened by losses in the CFP the two previous seasons, they would’ve willed their way to a win.  Neither team in that game struck me as championship caliber.  Us fans are scarred with BPONE, which caused some excruciating watches this year vs PSU, OSU, and again vs Bama.  I was a complete wreck til the final whistle of each.  But the players and coaches never wavered once.  It’s clear this team will not be denied their ultimate goal.  This Michigan team is on a different level when the chips are down.

If we are behind in the 4th— Bet.  As the kids say.

Ja'Marr Chase, Rondale Moore, Justyn Ross will probably all get 1st round grades.  But Nico could definitely be at the top of the 2nd tier.

Aside from D. Bush, I think 2020 Nico could be the best football player we've seen wearing Maize and Blue in a while.

His numbers might not be astronomical, so he probably won't get much AA buzz, but he is going to terrify opposing coordinators.

I think it's time we let someone else Row the Boat.

Thank you, Jim.  But it's clear that he'll never elevate this team to the next level.  He needed to bring Greg Roman with him on Day 1.  Gone are his antics that we all loved.  Other teams keep metaphorically punching his team in the mouth and he's forced to sit down and shut up until he actually wins something to brag about, which seems so unreachable right now.  He's taken too many punches and there's no recovering.  OSU has his number and they're pulling further away.  Fleck would at least give us new hope.  There's no hope with Jim.

Just can't get excited about college football or recruiting when our team loses handily three times a year.

The play in the end zone…

The play in the end zone looked more like the huge tight end Ebron'd it than a pbu

Saban wasn't TERRIBLE in the NFL.

(I was curious so I wiki'd)

Year one:  9-7

Year two:  6-10 -- not sure he could've done much more with injured Culpeper and Joey Harrington.  Managed to shutout the Patriots though.  Interestingly, they ALMOST signed Drew Brees, which might have changed the landscape of both college and pro football as we know it today.  Imagine Brady and Brees in the same division coached by Belichick and Saban.

You guys, there's way too…

You guys, there's way too much optimism here.  It's setting us up for some unwarranted disappointment.  Michigan is not winning this game.  And we are definitely not putting up 35 points on Bama's D, no matter how many 1st rounders sit.

Still, can't wait to watch.  It has been intriguing to read about a national powerhouse team (aside from OSU) on our weekly Mgo opponent prep posts.  So glad we were able to avoid Florida.

Wouldn't shock me if Stafford did this within the next year.  Not because he lacks toughness or dislikes the game.  But he's made a shitload of money, has a growing family, he and his wife have had some major health issues lately, etc.

To top it off, being the face of this franchise seems to chase people into early retirement.

If Lions take Oruwariye in…

If Lions take Oruwariye in the 2nd and Tavai in the 5th this whole draft feels way better to me.

It's painful to see such an unremarkable LB taken in the top half of the 2nd round when there were so many talented players still available.  This is one of the deepest drafts I've ever seen.  Several 2nd and 3rd round picks will make huge impacts.  Tavai is not one of those players.  Feels like when Millen took the DE out of Hawaii in the 2nd 10 years ago (Alama-Francis?)

What's that you say?  Last time he left our program he joined a hated rival and we won a national championship the very next year?

Good riddance, Greg.M

May your winning percentage in The Game continue to hover near zero.

Imagine if Maryland converts…

Imagine if Maryland converts the 2-pt conversion and this beatdown still happens.  That would've been a very sad trip to Indy.

I honestly prefer it this way.  I wouldn't want to win a B1G championship while losing to OSU.  Maybe if it was a close loss like two years ago.  But not after a game like yesterday.

I guess what I'm realizing is if I had to choose a B1G championship, or a win over OSU, right now I'm letting someone else (hopefully not one of the State U's) take home the trophy.

Did anyone predict the…

Did anyone predict the severity of the OSU game?

i.e.- OSU will throttle us, they will make our balls ascend back into non-existence, we will be questioning why so many Saturdays are invested into watching sport, etc.

My expectation shifted when Purdue "boat-raced" OSU and we took care of MSU.

Now I am regretting Brian's invention of the term boat-raced, because it's so appropriate for this game.  And we are a sad buoy :(

I wish they hadn't tried to run Tru Wilson to the outside.  Maybe he bounced, but didn't look like it.  That's a burnt down.

I'm okay with Milton getting…

I'm okay with Milton getting some pt in THE GAME.  He'll still get his redshirt and maybe throwing him into the fire in Columbus pays dividends down the road.

Also, I'm okay with Bell getting PT.  He's more of a playmaker than Perry.  And it's not like we've been relying on Perry to move the chains.

Any thoughts on why we had…

Any thoughts on why we had THREE key players suffer unusual hip injuries?

I'm guessing it was due to attempting to keep up with speed not yet encountered this season.  Half their wr probably run 4.4 or better.  Sheesh.

I wish we would've banged Ben Mason's face into that wall a few more times.

I'm surprised he wasn't used as a feature back more on regular downs throughout the year.  Isn't he the perfect kind of punishment Harbaugh wants to dish out early in a game to open some creases later?
