Just crazy to me that…

Just crazy to me that Harbaugh was only able to recruit and develop one elite QB.  All other quarterbacks he brought in were flaming turds or just average at best B10 QB’s.

That being said, THANK YOU Jim for JJ and a NC!

This is a Blog…people can Disagree with me all day long. I welcome it.  Furthermore, I can disagree with their takes on my thoughts. It’s a college football blog.  It’s not that important to make anyone “look a certain way”.

LOL. I love you my man, but…

LOL. I love you my man, but that is a HORRIBLE take. You think Oriji is Milroe?  How many games has Oriji played?  How many snaps?  How completions?  How many games did he win?

Why in the world some people extrapolate Oriji running nothing but gimmicky plays (literally that’s all they were) and think that equates to him be a functional QB and being a QB as good as / in the ballpark of Milroe is ludicrous.

Are you inferring that Oriji…

Are you inferring that Oriji is Jalen Milroe?

Just having fun sharing my…

Just having fun sharing my opinion on a blog. I don’t find that odd at all. In fact, that’s the purpose of a blog.

Let’s look at reality. Other…

Let’s look at reality. Other than JJ McCarthy, how has Harbaugh’s QB that he’s recruited fared?  The answer…not very well. Literally outside of JJ, they all have been incredibly poor and JH had to resort to the transfer portal to get just a functional QB.

Also, You can’t be a good running team unless you have an effective quarterback. You can be a running team and not be a very good football team without an effective quarterback. I’m speaking from a perspective of having a football team that could compete for the Big Ten championship.

Go read the “Offensive…

Go read the “Offensive tidbits” from last week.  It is clear from what the players who are interviewed that there is no clear front runner at quarterback. Considering the quarterbacks on the roster, that is not a good thing.

Also, there’s a reason they didn’t trust him to throw the ball one single time. That being Origi.

Just name one fantastic…

Just name one fantastic offense that looks like the one you’re proposing. Let me save you your answer…there isn’t one.

He would instantly be our…

He would instantly be our starter if he came.

No offense, but that offense…

No offense, but that offense could be stopped by any adequate defense.  You simply sell out on the run and make them throw the ball to beat you.

If an offense could be functional and effective looking like the one you are suggesting, every team would do that.  We would / will have massive problems if what you propose happens.

I continue to stand by the fact that if any QB on our roster ends up being our actual starting QB, it will not be a good thing.

UMx…I totally agree with you…

UMx…I totally agree with you that baseball seems to be losing a lot of interest.  Maybe not in the major metro areas in the country, but I see a lot more kids wearing Premier League jerseys than baseball.

Can’t stop watching Burns. I love that guy. Hoping NC State can come back and get the “W”.

I wore #13 all through my athletic career solely because of Lance Parrish.

I am here at Tiger Stadium.  Dan Petry is starting and Tom Brookins is looking sharp in the field.  Rupert Jones is up at the plate with Darryl Evans on deck.

Sigh....when the Tigers stole my heart in 1984.  I was in 3rd grade at Johnson Elementary in Milford, MI.  Following year, we moved (ironically) to San Diego.

I second not finding Staley likable…and that really is a Compliment of sorts. I don’t know many elite level coaches that are likable.

Price is ridiculous.  Give me a handshake, a picture with him and a signature and that is fair value.  But dropping off an item and not even seeing him sign it!?  That is just really weird.

To be fair, Loveland isn’t going to say anything other than “Oriji looks good” if asked…even if he thinks otherwise.

I love the hire...but unless he is getting "Georgia Resources" to do this job at Michigan, don't expect the same results he got at Georgia.

Horrible take. All that…

Horrible take. All that matters is if you can say he is a “Beast”…like Oriji.  Who cares about intangibles, leadership, arm talent, decision making, mental aptitude for the position, etc.  If he isn’t a “Beast” he is sure to fail.

Agreed!  I would love for him to have one tremendously special season.

It really is fascinating to…

It really is fascinating to hear about kids with just freak speed and athleticism that just can't put it together on the field.  Best of luck to him.

You are unfortunately…

You are unfortunately correct.  That is why  I believe Campbell didn’t definitively say “No.  We will not be taking another QB from the portal. Period”.

Origi is a special athlete.

Origi is a special athlete, but that means nothing if you don’t have arm talent, can read defenses, are accurate, can be a great leader, can protect the football and be efficient with the football.

So far Origi has shown not one ounce of evidence he can do this.  I hope he becomes a special QB.

That’s like saying Jim…

Well how bout that.

Well how bout that.

Bro…Bro…I trust you.

Bro…Bro…I trust you.

I am friends with someone…

I am friends with someone close to his family.  He eventually wants to be a HC. I’m sure he will be looking for a job that will put him closer to that goal.

Some data points can be used…

Some data points can be used prognostically to predict player development and production.  For example, Michigan has shown they can identify talent at TE, even lesser talent, and get them to a high level of production.

Michigan has not shown that they can do that at QB.  Over the last 10-15 years it has been many highly rated QB's busting and many transfer QB's coming in as a "Bandaid".  If JJ taught us anything, it is that you need a highty competent and talented QB to win regularly.

Great example provided by…

Great example provided by you that actually works against your point.  The offensive game plan against PSU in the second half, while it worked, is not tenable for a season much less for an entire game.

Do you really believe we can have a QB that executes a game plan of throwing the ball 5-7 times a game for an entire season?  You really believe that because we were beating PSU and went to essentially a "run only" offense for the second half to close the game that that begs for us to adopt that style of football?

I am not worried about the offensive talent of Michigan.  I am worried about our talent at Quarterback.  Furthermore, Harbaugh was the HC for the PSU game.  Moore was the filling in for a suspended HC.  If you think Harbaugh, as controlling as mad scientist as he is, would allow things to not have his name over every element of the game just because he wasn't present is simply not true.

Your “hope” in Oriji, Tuttle…

Your “hope” in Oriji, Tuttle, Or any other QB on our roster is blind faith. There are no stats that should give any of us confidence that any QB on the roster could be an average / above average B10 QB.

Tuttle is entering his 7th year as a college QB and has never been a starter / led a team for a season. There is a reason for that.  The chances that he becomes something in year 7 he hasn’t been for the previous 6 is astronomically low.  Furthermore, he has a history of being injury prone.

Oriji is a “beast”, but how does that correlate to being an effective and efficient QB?  I would worry more about arm talent, leadership, accuracy, reading defenses, being efficient with the ball, etc.  That is what makes a QB a QB.

if any of the QB’s are starting that are currently on our roster it is a cause for concern. Our lack of QB talent heading into this year is certainly due in part to JH leaving and no QB wanting to come here when the portal was open due to the inevitability of him leaving for the NFL

Sal, you ain’t wrong and shouldnt be getting negged.

I think the only appropriate…

I think the only appropriate use of the term is when you can say you “Won a Natty”.

Only because I think that term is just as annoying as you and if it can piss off one more OSU or SEC fan then the term should be admissible and encouraged.

If Marshawn Lynch thinks you…

If Marshawn Lynch thinks you are one unlikeable dude…I believe him. in an interview, Marshawn claims that Russell would not give his Cell Phone number out to his teammates, and that they had to go through his agent to try and contact him.

I guess Warde is just…

I guess Warde is just waiting for "the sh*t to work".  Charlie Brown kicking a football.

Keeping Howard as coach is…

Keeping Howard as coach is immensely more damaging to the program than removing him immediately and having and interim.

Just like college, give Nix…

Just like college, give Nix 7 years in the NFL and he can become a great starter.

He will be 52 y/o, but he will be great.

The only statement I am…

The only statement I am making is that anyone who is saying (and there are quite a few here on this blog) that think Tuttle is going to be a capable QB are simply making a statement based solely on hope and not actual any proof in 6 years of playing that he has the ability to be a capable QB.

I hope he is one. But the chances that in year 7 he becomes something he hasn’t been in the previous 6 years is astronomically low.

What he has shown, is that he is highly prone to injury.

You may be right, but people…

You may be right, but people claiming Tuttle could be as good as Cade are making that claim with little to no evidence for it.

He couldn’t become a starter at Indiana and has never been a starter. He is entering his 7th year never being a starting QB for a team.

After 6 years of being nothing but a backup QB, does anyone consider there is a reason why he was a backup QB for 6 years?  I don’t think people realize how much of a concern it’s going to be if Tuttle, Origi or Denegal are the starting QB.

I still am shocked at the…

I still am shocked at the number of "ESPN 300" players Hoke had that just absolutely busted.  Still have no clue if they were talented kids that just got zero coaching and development, or by sheer bad luck he got a run of recruits that were way overrated.
