What size is that cast iron pot? I'm looking to get one so I can do chili and dips like this queso on my smoker but can't decide on the size. I don't want to go too big (because they get real heavy) but I also don't want to not have a large enough pot/dutch oven to actually make a full recipe.

Jamestown Revival - Utah is a fantastic album. Saw these guys live at a tiny venue in Cincinnati and was blown away. Really talented guys. Anyone who likes the folksy/acoustic sound should listen to these guys.

In the Rock genre, the ones I'm listening to lately that haven't already been mentioned are J. Roddy Walston & the Blues - Essential Tremors. Really good album that I only recently discovered. I've also been listening a ton to the REM Unplugged 1991/2001 collection released recently.
My 2 year old son obviously has no real interest in watching sports yet but he knows to say "Go Blue" whenever he sees me watching sports. I've also taught him to, after giving a kiss, say "Love you. Go blue!" Makes my day every single time I hear it.
While we'll never be confused with a Chicago or NYC, the Cincinnati downtown area is going through something of a "rebirth". New casino just opened downtown and lots of new restaurants/bars in the Banks and stadium area. As mentioned, Newport is also a fun place to hang out before/after games.
Cincinnati isn't going to make anyone's bucket list any time soon, but it's a pretty decent downtown (for the midwest) these days.
I think people are giving too much credit to Craft for lifting his heels as if it was something intentional. i just don't think he got there in time to get completely set, and as such his heels hadn't come all the way down when he took the charge. I really don't think it was some sort of conscious effort - it was just that he got there late.
That's what annoys me about this discussion is that it's not so much about the heel over the line as it is about the fact that they blew the call because he never got set before the defender hit him. That's why it's a charge, not because of his heel placement. At least in my opinion.

This way a defender sliding under an already-airborne offensive player is almost certainly a foul. The way I see it, you shouldn't be rewarded for sliding under an offensive player who has already leaped. Try to block his shot or alter it but don't just get in his way.
My god Smotrycz is slow. I really hope he can start shooting well again. He and Vogrich are two guys who bring nothing to the table if their outside shot isn't falling. But Smotrycz is agonizingly slow. And he has no handle whatsoever.

Regarding Wells' suspension - if he's only going to get 4 games, I can support 6 for the UC players. No one in this whole thing was innocent, but this never erupts to violence if Wells doesn't shove Guyn to the ground. Up until then, he and Holloway were content to get in each other's faces and act tough. Wells was not retaliating to any physical contact to his own person.
The bottom line is this was all just stupid and reflects poorly on all involved. If someone's trash talk can incite you to violence you need to grow up.
don't really have any useful advice, but our dog also suffers from allergies, albeit not as severely. our vet recently put woodson on hypoallergenic food (only $50 for a 17 lb bag!) and it seems to be helping. he had been getting nasty, persistent ear infections and since switching foods he has been much better. for other, less annoying allergy issues we just give him benadryl like yak attack mentioned.
so even though it doesn't seem to be food-related, it might be worth trying different food. it's an annoying process to isolate food allergies, but may be beneficial in the long run.
Had Sims or Harris been here, I'm pretty sure this wouldn't have been a tournament team. Neither of those guys were great leaders last season and were more concerned with individual stats than the team. A classic case of addition by subtraction. Both those guys were talented players, but they didn't fit the system the way the current players do.
I'm not sure a coach can really do a whole lot to prevent turnovers. I'll guarantee you that the coaching staff is not coaching the QB's to throw INT's or fumble. No matter how much you stress it to the kids, it's up to them to actually be smart with the ball. If someone can definitively say that we don't do ball security drills in practice then I'll fault the coaches.
I do think that coaches can work more with a wet football or other adverse conditions in practice if called for. Generally when conditions are as crappy as they were Saturday, turnovers are more likely. I realize that doesn't address the last 3 games before this one, but I chalk a lot of it up to youth and players pressing and always trying for a big play.
In short, I'm not sure how a coach can prevent turnovers - ultimately the players have to be smart and protect the ball.

You can bet Purdue is going to have every trick play in their playbook ready to run against us to take advantage of our inexperience. I really don't think our defense can stop any offense consistently right now regardless of how injury-depleted or talent-deficient they are. If Mouton is limited to the point that he's worse than Moundros or JB I'd prefer to see him sit, but I don't think he's going to be the difference in the Wisky or OSU games. If he gives us the best shot to win this Saturday I say play him. Tomorrow's our best chance at another win this season and I want the best shot at that.

I loved Braylon, but I can't be the only one who found him to be maddeningly inconsistent, can I? Henne was better off throwing it high to him so he had to make a great play than hitting him in the hands. As great as his MSU performance was, anytime I see Braylon I think of that game and then immediately think of the 4th down drop against OSU. Pretty much sums up his career - at least the way I remember it.
I'd have to say I'm indifferent regarding RichRod's future here now. I'd prefer him to get to 6-6 this year, hopefully 7-5, and come back next year with an improved team. 6-6 would be disappointing honestly, but I really don't want to have to go through another transition period.

That missed tackle by Kovacs was the best thing that could have happened since it occurred after the first down marker. If he makes that tackle, IU can bleed the clock before scoring (and let's face it - they would have scored). At least we got the ball back with enough time to score.

I think I'm going to make Van Slyke into LaLota. I'm still trying to figure out who is going to become Jibreel Black though. Probably Wilkins, since I'm more excited for Black than him. I might actually edit over Conelius Jones and turn him into Terrence Talbott to get some more D-Line depth. I'm pretty sure I'd be cutting Jones to free up roster space in the next season or two anyway so it shouldn't be a big loss.
I downloaded your roster this morning - excellent work. I already adjusted Big Will down a bit as well. Also - shouldn't Cam Gordon be a redshirt freshman instead of a true freshman? Not related to any of your edits, but where is LaLota in this game? I understand some of the true freshman being left off, but LaLota was a fairly decent recruit last year. And on NCAA 10 he developed into an absolute beast for me. So that definitely means he'll be good in real life, too.

For some reason, Harris didn't come to mind - I only remembered Burgess and Crable from that time period. And I don't really consider Crable much of a linebacker, as he spent a fair amount of time at DE.
Your second point is my main reason for optimism regarding Ryan. I realize guys change position going from HS to college all the time, but it has to help the adjustment to the speed of the game by not also having to learn a new position. I honestly can't remember the last linebacker we had that played LB in HS.
Wow, do we all work for the Raiders? Who really cares how fast someone runs without pads? Shouldn't what a guy does, you know, when he actually plays football matter most?
This is why the combine is such a waste of time in my opinion. If Suh showed up and didn't bench press as much as expected or run as fast as other defensive tackles, would anyone really think he should drop out of the first 2 spots? It's about what you can do on the field in game situations, not about how high you can jump or how fast you run in non-game situations.
He was a LB coach at YSU and eventually promoted to DC there. He was a DC at Minnesota and then left there to become the DC at OSU for 4 years, leaving for Marshall in 2005.
He seems to have a pretty decent track record on the defensive side of the ball, but so did Scott Shafer. At least he has some LB experience in his past.

Dan McCarney went from head coach at Iowa State, where he was somewhat successful, to the D-Line coach at Florida. We're not at Florida's level, but, as you alluded to, being LB coach at a prestigious university beats nothing.
I don't have anything against people who do. Well, actually I do hate people who do it to their little designer dogs and have tons of outfits for them. A dog isn't a doll. But that's neither here nor there.
My mutt so far is really only interested in socks. He likes to carry them around. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get him to wear them, though. It would be fun to watch him slip around the house while wearing them though. Makes me think of "kitten mittens" from It's Always Sunny.

I'd be extremely happy with this class finishing out that way. But I consider a spectacular class to be something akin to what Texas, Florida, USC, and Alabama have raked in the last few years. I don't expect us to be able to do that right now, obviously, since we aren't winning. Maybe solid was a poor choice of adjectives.
The real point I was trying to make is that outside of Gardner and Christian (and Parker if he commits), the class is made up of a bunch of seemingly solid, but not necessarily spectacular guys. And that's fine - we need contributions from everyone in these next few classes (all teams do, but us especially right now). I'll take 25 solid contributors with no superstars over 3 superstars and a bunch of other middling performers, which is more in line with what we'd gotten out of Lloyd's last few classes. And please note, I'm not trying to infer we won't get any superstars out of this class.
Bottom line, if we pull in a top 10-15 class this year, RR's done a great job of recruiting. Even if we don't get that high, I still think we're getting a bunch of guys that can help the team win.
if this class pans stays exactly the way it is projected, i'd consider it a solid class. and honestly, we need some of those. lloyd's final few classes were heavy on getting a couple big stars each year and then nothing behind that. i'll gladly take a bunch of solid contributors and maybe 1 superstar (DG) at this point. we need depth everywhere and we're not realistically at the UF or USC level where we just stockpile 4 and 5 star guys for depth. i think the coaches have done a good job of recruiting for need, too, based on the system they want to run.
at this point, i'm willing to trust the coaches' evaluations. no one they have brought in has been a bust yet. any underachievers on the team were inherited, so until we start seeing tons of disappointments out of RR's recruiting classes, i'll give him the benefit of the doubt (which i'm sure lets him sleep easy at night).
