For sure, the whole conversation started out with the ridiculous and unfounded concept that Denver hockey was winning championships more easily because they play at altitude. The 2 out of 10 (I stand corrected, but the dramatic difference remains) vs. 7 out of 9 is just as anecdotal as the nonsense theory that started this, but man - it’s a hilarious outlier.
ESPN graphic credits our Coach with a second straight frozen four appearance, yet it is his third. Additionally, BC gets the number one ranking next to their name, and we look like an unranked team. ESPN really hates Michigan.

Those are four very good players who transferred from the program with eligibility remaining in a very recent timeframe. This routine nature of losing strong players with eligibility remaining to other programs is puzzling to me.
Yes, if you watch her play, it is obvious why. None of those players, or any other player in the history of the game, is routinely taking shots from 30 feet and making them. None of those players was the all-time leader in points and three-pointers made. None of those players led the country and points and assist in the same season. None of those players came close to producing the level of interest or TV ratings because none of them could do what Caitlin can do. It is quite obvious why.

Like many of you, I am proud of our university’s history of protest. But none of us should be proud of what happened on Sunday. We all must understand that, while protest is valued and protected, disruptions are not. One group’s right to protest does not supersede the right of others to participate in a joyous event.

While I appreciate this attempt, I remember not one, but two football games in January of THIS year to win a glorious national championship in January 2024!
I hope for his sake that his legacy isn't painted solely by these last two coaching seasons.
His legacy is painted far more by the Fab Five, and his immensely successful first couple of seasons including the outright B1G championship and AP National Coach of the year honors.
I absolutely love the sentiment, but you will need to explain how our football team is going to win two national championships in the same year. Not even Fielding Yost managed to do that one.

7 of Michigan’s 9 national championships had a frozen four in Colorado.
1 out of Denver’s 10 national championships had a frozen four in Colorado.
Why does Michigan demonstrate this insane performance advantage in frozen fours at high altitude?

Not quite the accomplishment of altitude power houses such as Pittsburgh, San Fran, Dallas, Green Bay, New York, Kansas City, or Boston

This one is weird. We routinely lose excellent players from our women’s hoops program, and I don’t have any idea why.
