MSU is the Spartans because Ann Arbor was known as the Athens of the Midwest, and the Spartans and Athenians were enemies. Thus Spartan comes in response to Ann Arbor.
Denard just tweeted "@DenardX: No one cares more for his players than Coach Hoke. Anyone that says anything different doesn't know. Love that man #GoBlue #GoHoke"
I think at this point, it's just insulting to the general public, and especially to fans and alumni, to keep getting answers like this from Coach Hoke and clearly written by Brandon. Whether he had a concussion or not, there was a VERY GOOD chance that he could have; concussion tests take more than a few minutes, and obviously weren't done. That's on the head coach and athletic director for failing to have procedures in place that the team actually follows.
Went back. Yelled at Brandon on the sidelines. He ran away, true story. Kind of cool scene to support the players when they can hear every word and cheer.
I understand the urge to say good job for doing the right thing. But don't commend them for doing what should have been done months ago. Absolutely ridiculous.
I'm sure a minority opinion on here, but I'll take a Wimbledon final like that over watching a World Cup match every single time. Truly gritty by both players.
That was one of the craziest endings to a game I've ever seen because so unexpected. At least in OT you are on the lookout for a crazy goal, but that!?
According to the website, from what I can see this year's team was the most efficient on offense ever in the history of Kenpom (since 2003), with 124.1 points/100 posessions. I shudder in awe to think what we might be next year if everyone comes back, but know it is a longshot.
Will put in snowflake thread as well, but, at least from what I can tell on the data on his site, Michigan's offense this year was the highest/most efficient in the history of Kenpom.
Here's to a fast recovery for him. If I'm him, though, may consider shutting it down given how much is on the line in the NBA draft. He's got to think about the long game. Bill Self will have this talk with him - he seems to know a bit about putting guys into the NBA.
It can always get better. And hopefully Coach B is telling the team that exact thing right now. Win the next 9 games, and then they can all go the NBA (happily).
I still think we need Wisco to lose today, or to the finals in the BTT to Michigan, in order for us to pass them and get the #2 in the Midwest (Wichita State's region).
Interesting idea on the NBA draft. I wonder, though, how would the NBA/NCAA handle kids that are drafted at 18, come back for a few years of college ball, and then "re-enter" the draft (as they are able to do in hockey)?
How nice is it not to be on the bubble right now? I'm still getting used to the whole "Michigan is a lock" situation, but I really could get used to this.
Let's just hope that a late season loss at Penn State doesn't lead them to the same result to which it led us last year...I will enjoy it nonetheless tonight.
Conclusion: there are lots of chances that Michigan can have help either solidifying a 4 seed or moving up to a 3 seed, provided we win our next four games. Every other 3 and 4 seed has at least one other "hard" game left (if you consider @Nebraska "hard" now), compared to our schedule. This is not to say, of course, that we will win our 4 games easily, especially on the road. But, it's favorable, nonetheless.

I
I BELIEVE WE DID BACK IN!
Don't care. Bring on Belgium (or...Algeria).
Well, perhaps not after taxes.
1. Wisconsin (1 seed)
2. Nebraska (3 seed)
3. Iowa (3 seed)
4. Michigan (6 seed)
5. Ohio St. (7 seed)
6. Minneosta (10 seed)
7. Maryland (11 seed play-in)
8. Mich St. (8 seed)
9. Indiana
10. Illinois
11. NW
12. Penn St.
13. Purdue
14. Rutgers
Odds of UK making that three <<<<<< Odds of UK making two free throws (except if you foul the 45% FT guy).

Ditto, and such a shame for my bracket.
9 teams in the S16 so far: 3 B1G, 2 AAC, 1 MWC, 1 A10, 1 Pac-12, 1 SEC.
Let's go. PS if anyone knows of any goods apps to watch CBS live, that would be swell.
Uhh... your sophomore year was also Rich Rod's first year...? So neither got 2006, just fyi.

But, didn't you hear, we have star senior center Jordan Morgan!
Bravo. Exactly what many of us were thinking. Jordan Morgan is truly a Michigan Man.
Here's to being able to step outside this weekend without it being so cold!

Please be the start of everyone announcing they will return...
No Trey. No Tim. No Mitch. No problem. No excuses.
BIG. TEN. CHAMPIONS. Beilein is hands down the Coach of the Year, conference and national.

Was that the play call? Does anybody know who was supposed to get the ball?
Toughest games left for other 3 seeds:
Wisco at Nebraska (3/9)
MSU vs. Iowa (3/6) and at OSU (3/9)
Iowa St at KSU (3/1)
SDSU at UNLV (3/5) and vs. New Mexico (3/8)
Toughest games left for other 4 seeds:
Cincinatti at UConn (3/1) and vs. Memphis (3/6)
UVA vs. Syracuse (3/1)
Saint Louis at VCU (3/1) and at UMass (3/8)

Nebraska is lurking!
WIN THE B1G.
Glad to welcome Nik back from the Olympic hockey break! So lucky to have Beilein.
Come. To. Michigan.
Bang for beating Kenpom!
