That was fun and they didn't…

That was fun and they didn't even screw us with review!

I'll join the 'get off of my…

I'll join the 'get off of my lawn' club and say that the frequency I want to hear piped in music at the game is 0%. I used to like to chat with people next to me sometimes as well as hear the band.

I think this sums it up well…

I think this sums it up well:

'Wolves are really just a symbol of unresolved societal debates like the urban-rural divide or rural livelihoods or tradition or culture or federal versus state government or public versus private land,” he said.'

There was this guy back in 2004. Guess he wasn't able to find a mate.

This is not correct. Five…

"everyone voted no except for the capital. So basically the people who actually live in the areas these animals will be had no say"

This is not correct. Five counties west of the divide voted for wolf reintroduction with both San Miguel and Pitkin over 60% in favor. They have also come over the divide and are now in Larimer County.

Pretty sure that losing a vote does not equal 'had no say.'

I think it's going ok…

I think it's going ok although it is still way too political and our agency is often too slow in responding to critics (similar to a certain athletic department). It probably would have been better for CPW if it hadn't been pushed through the ballot as wolves had already taken up residence in North Park. Spending this amount of political capital for something that was happening naturally has led to conflicts I think we would rather stay out of but, if we're going to be mandated to make it happen, we seem to be doing pretty well with it.

That's not really true…

That's not really true. Mountain goats and bighorn sheep have different habitat preferences with mountain goats being almost entirely alpine and bighorn sheep preferring subalpine. Bighorn sheep populations have been having difficulties due to diseases carried by domestic sheep, not mountain goats.

That isn't how this works at…

That isn't how this works at all. They were here in Colorado and they were hunted to extinction.

Moose didn't really belong here and were introduced and now they are doing almost too well. They didn't end up migrating elsewhere.

Elk were nearly extirpated, were reintroduced and haven't migrated elsewhere. Now Colorado has the largest elk herd in North America.

Lynx were reintroduced a few years ago and are doing well. Oddly they haven't all migrated elsewhere.

Wolves have now been reintroduced and they don't appear to be migrating elsewhere.

Hmmm ... I work at CPW in…

Hmmm ... I work at CPW in the NE Region. Going to have to figure out who is running our twitter and send them an award.

It's not 1969 anymore. You…

It's not 1969 anymore. You may not have noticed, but a LOT of things have changed.

I've have said to several…

I've have said to several people this year, "I hope we win it all this year and then I am going to deprioritize college football in my life."

So I totally get it. I have been a fan since my first game in 1974 and will still get my season tickets at least for a while (although I live in Colorado and rarely go) but I won't schedule my weekends around the games anymore. If I am home to watch, I will probably watch but there is going to be less emotion invested for sure.

Honestly I think college football has deprioritized the football part of itself the last few years so I would be dumb not to follow suit. The clock rules effectively making for less football and not shortening the games was a final straw. If they don't think the actual football playing is very important, why should I?

I remember listening to that…

I remember listening to that Purdue game on the radio when I was 7. What a crappy ending and now I can watch it ....

'The Rolling Stones magazine…

'The Rolling Stones magazine', eh? Clearly you are very familiar with that publication.

No, please don't.

No, please don't encourage it.

I saw Gil Scott at Alvin's…

I saw Gil Scott at Alvin's in Detroit in November '88. Made a huge impression on a kid who grew up in the monoculture of 1970s/80s Milford.

Not if you count the year of…

Not if you count the year of Fickell and it seems like you have to count that year because it did exist.

That is unusual. Some people…

That is unusual. Some people love that weather and it makes no sense to me. I tried to live there and only lasted 3 months.

I'm with you. I'll take most…

I'm with you. I'll take most anyone, even Buckeyes, over McAfee.

Yes. It seems quite certain…

Yes. It seems quite certain that Weiss is still being investigated unless people were just lying in October.

Quote from late October.

"The University of Michigan Police Department has partnered with the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding the Matt Weiss unauthorized computer access incident," the police said in an email on Thursday.

"Currently, the investigation is extensive, ongoing, and is of the utmost priority. Additional information will be provided when available."

I don't think they could…

I don't think they could find worse music for that event. Country pop is the worst!

50?? More like 75.

I totally agree that getting…

I totally agree that getting Fleming can be nothing but helpful for PSU.

Allar barely threw the ball…

Allar barely threw the ball beyond the line of scrimmage. 60% isn’t that great for a lot of screens and dump downs.

I think we were looking for…

I think we were looking for either and you missed on both.  Congrats!

I would like to see Harbaugh…

I would like to see Harbaugh sign a lifetime contract and that will work for q2 as well.

I am going to go pedantic and note that today is not the first day of Christmas. The first day of Christmas is Dec 25th and the 12 days continues from there until the Epiphany on Jan 6th.

I've never understood why…

I've never understood why anyone would want their Venmo payments public. Why do you want people to see who you are giving money to? Very confusing.

My biggest beef comes right…

My biggest beef comes right after yours which is how they are pretending that it is only a safety issue if you got the decoded signals from advance in-person scouting. Ohio State getting all our signals off TV footage is AOK from  the safety angle it seems. Either all signal stealing is a safety issue or it isn't  .... BTW, it isn't.

We had this map when I was a…

We had this map when I was a kid. It inspired me to slip a block M polygon on top of Notre Dame Stadium into a parks dataset I worked on for Ducks Unlimited. This polygon lived in the dataset as Wolverine Park for about 10 years until I tipped of my old manager to take it out. When you mapped the shapefile on top of imagery it looked like this:

That's pretty specious…

That's pretty specious reasoning there. Unless you can see that those two people actually have a connection and not just that people on linkedin (like you) looked at both profiles, that says nothing about a connection.

Seriously?? Mentioning his…

Seriously?? Mentioning his name here for no reason is already too political.

Should just listen to…

Should just listen to Harbaugh ....

"I hate to compare things, I really do," Harbaugh said. "Whenever you compare things, whether it be one player to another or this team to last year's team, somebody gets diminished. I like to avoid it. Just so you know, that's how I feel about it."

In fact, Avos just got nicer…

In fact, Avos just got nicer with the new front porch and flipping the stage around.

Like the avatar photo. Definitely Winter Park, likely the top of the Panoramic lift.

You're dating yourself as…

You're dating yourself as pretty young with that one. Some of us were working on our undergrad in Ann Arbor the last time we won a basketball championship.

Sorry but just noted this…

Sorry but just noted this question. The Live at Lunch thing is an in-studio radio deal at KRFC usually done by artists playing somewhere in town that evening. I didn't see her there but heard it on the radio. The only place she has played AFAIK is at Avos at least four times.

The ushers were almost all…

The ushers were almost all student volunteers. I don't think they denied anyone entry whether they had a ticket or not. There were an awful lot of people in the arena that second night.

That was during the beginnings of the Dead crowd being too big and out-of-hand for the venues they were playing. The riot in Pittsburgh had been just a couple days before these shows.  Ann Arbor cops were decidedly less aggressive especially concerning weed (which was just a $5 fine still at that time).

I must have been pretty…

I must have been pretty close to you. I remember the guy climbing up the pole and out the wire trying to bring that blinking light down. Then I saw the awning at China Gate start to crumble from the weight on top of it. Then I saw the police car getting rocked and I decided it was time to get the hell out of there before I saw people getting hurt.

It looked different then but this shot captures some things still the same:

There was, of course, also…

There was, of course, also the Hash Bash and two Grateful Dead shows in town that week.

April 1st - Hash Bash and Semifinal Game

April 3rd - Championship Game

April 5th and 6th - Grateful Dead at Crisler Arena.

It was quite a week although not very conducive to doing well in school. I had to take a Calc 3 exam in the instructor's office because it was scheduled during the second Dead show. Considering I had been awake almost all night NOT studying I will just say I did not do well although I did end up passing Calc 3 by the skin of my teeth.

I'll just add my compliments…

I'll just add my compliments to the fine music selection. I have loved May since she was still Daisy May. Luckily she comes out to Colorado every so often and has played here in Fort Collins several times. Always an excellent show.

That was also when we…

That was also when we finished with Ohio State the weekend before Thanksgiving. I really wish that would come back as I do not want to travel on Thanksgiving weekend. I know, I know ... never coming back unless we move The Game earlier in the season.

You should absolutely get hammered for this. There is no reason whatsoever to include that first paragraph to say what you wanted to say. SMH.

As someone who lived in both Topeka and Lawrence, there is a good reason Lawrence residents forget about the rest of Kansas.

It's not a Prime Day deal…

It's not a Prime Day deal (Edit - yes it is) but this turntable is a pretty good price as long as you want a black one. I bought the same turntable a few years ago and like it a lot. The bluetooth is great when I just want to listen on headphones but the turntable sounds best through my nice analog receiver and speakers.

He probably shredded the tire while scraping on a curb or something of that sort. I doubt the tire was flat before he drove but that's just a guess.

I agree best to just Uber…

I agree best to just Uber but your BAC calculations are way wrong .... math and science and stuff?

Every calculator I have seen shows a 170 pound person having 4 1.5 oz drinks in 2 hours is at 0.08% - 0.09%. To get to 0.21% on 5 oz of 80-proof alcohol, you would need to be a 75 lb. female and drink all 5 oz. in 10 minutes.

I didn't live in East Quad but I spent all my time there. It was way more my style than MoJo which is where my room was.
