My dad saw Jimi play at the IMA in Flint back in '67 or so. Apparently, he came out and started the show with "Wind Cries Mary" then some dick in the crowd screamed "You look like George of the Jungle" super loud. Everyone could hear it as plain as day, according to my 'ol man. After the outburst, Jimi went behind his amps and acted like he was having technical difficulties. Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell continued to play for a few minutes. Finally, Jimi came back to the front, played "Purple Haze", then walked off stage. Perhaps that is why he was anti-Michigan?
I used to work with Steve Hutchinson, Jeff Backus, Josh Williams, Matt Lentz, B.J. Askew, Leon Hall, Willis Barringer, Matt Gutierrez, Pierre Woods, Larry Stevens, Jake Long, Dave Petruziello, and many others in my days at the lumber yard.
I usually don't reply to many posts, but I am appalled. I feel like the players were cheated out of a victory today by our own OC. Mattison talks about bullets often. Borges sent our guys in with no ammo in that second half. Worst called half ever.
I am from the Tool, Zeppelin, Guns n Roses, Phish, Grateful Dead, Janes Addiction, Beastie Boys, Snoop Dog, Dr. Dre, MMB, Faith No More, Greensky Bluegrass, Doc Watson, Graham Parsons, Metallica, Wilco, Beck, etc... fan clubs. There is, however, a Michigan grad that deserves a listen. Joe Henry...his albums got me through several study sessions. Try out Short Man's Room or Kindness of the World. Good Stuff.
I will never forget the numbness in my fingers during that game. The marching gloves are not gore-tex and tend to ignite when placed in front of the heat cannons on the sidelines. Very memorable game for me. Thank you for sharing!!
I feel ya brother!!! Saw them at the Fox when they released 10000 days!!! Amazing face melting experience. I have seen them several times over the years both in Detroit (DTE, Palace, Milan) and in Portland. I too have APC tix for the Schnitzer auditorium out here to get my Maynard fix. I can not wait to hear TOOL's new stuff, though!! Enjoy the show my man!!
That was the first game I attended as well as freshman in the MMB. What a great one to start my college days. The following year Scott was my neighbor in an apt building on Brown St. I was always pulling for him!!
I predict that we will finally have our own long blonde-haired LB in Jake Ryan. As for the other stuff...I will be patient and hope that it all comes together over the next four or so months. We will be good again!! Go Blue!!

I would have preferred those words as well. However, I am not going to be alarmed by it until no changes actually happen outside of a presser.

He does some pretty cool interviews. I mean, from the President to Maynard from Tool, he gets some good conversations out in his garage.

If we end up with a DT or DE that could be a TE in AL...i would be cool with it.
Portland, Oregon!!
sorry for that visual
Perhaps if we trash talk them on here during every game their production will increase!! Worth a shot.
That was a sweet play!!!!
Anyone else wish the Tiger game was postponed!!!!

Don't know about the vest look.
We couldn't get James Earl Jones for the CRISP lady but maybe we could pull him for the play by play.
Maybe I will just go out and touch people...not sure yet.
Sit around and think of all the things I could have done with the money from the Lotto that I am certain to win on the last day ever.

If TOOL comes out this year, Denard wins 2 Heismans!! They are due but I would wager 2012!!
Steve Hutchinson
