What I'd like to know is: How

What I'd like to know is: How much money is going to the football program? I'm sure money is directly related to how well a football team does.

This reminds me of that scene

This reminds me of that scene form Elf where the guys are talking about vulnerable vegetables.

Yeah, but that's a lot of

Yeah, but that's a lot of money to spend on a loss.

From where I sit, I think we

From where I sit, I think we lost to everyone that I was worried about, with the exception of Michigan State, and they turned out to be awful. We might have given it a good fight, but we're far from where we need to be.

Once the bowl week ends, you

Once the bowl week ends, you get six more opporunities to recruit. There are five additional weeks, and one slot for "signing day". New players generally pop up, but it's kind of rare that you get that one guy who really wants to go to your school. I pretty much don't like it, so I let the computer do it for me.

One time I saw this formation

One time I saw this formation where there were six receivers. One of them would go in motion and then take the snap while still running. We should do that.

So when people say, "Do what

So when people say, "Do what you love," they should really say, "Do what you love, and don't whine about it."

Cool. What I'd like to see

Cool. What I'd like to see too is how they stack up against our past three opponents because that's going to give us some perspective about how much harder this game would be.

Because.

Because.

My only concern would be the

My only concern would be the linemen. The D-lines in the NFL are nothing like the D-lines in college. The coverage is better too. I don't think the space guys would be that hard to find. I do think that the QB and the O-line would be tough to build.

I can dream, damn it.

I'm

I can dream, damn it.

I'm calling it right now. After Denard's lengthy, injury free career in the NFL as the starting quarter back who will lead his teams to many Super Bowl victories, he will study medicine and cure cancer, AIDS, and the common cold. Then he will start his multi-national conglomerate, and donate a gillian dollars to charity. And after many years of success in the business world, he will enter politics and be elected president. Shortly there after he will bring peace to the middle east and unlock cold fusion.

You've got to fire coaches.

You've got to fire coaches. If you don't their career inevitably ends in scandal.

You're right. It's obviously

You're right. It's obviously Hoke's 2nd year.

That's an interesting

That's an interesting perspective because I was wondering if the opposite would be true. If Chip gets to the NFL, and his line is about equal in talent or less talented than his opponents, will he still be able to have success? Basically, is he winning now because his talent, with respect to his competition, is better? And in an enviornment like the NFL where every guy is a super star, can his scheme still work? I'm going to go with yes. It will work, but I doubt that he'll have the same success.

It'll be interesting to see if he gets in. And imagine if Denard is his "QB who can also run".

What the odds don't know is

What the odds don't know is that this isn't a math test.

I think the article was

I think the article was trying to point out one of the advantages of the no huddle, and that is that you can run your team/scrimmage segment of practice much faster. The individual sessions are probably run with the same mentality, but I'm sure the coaches are still giving instructions when they see something wrong - why else would they be there? Air horns can be automated.

The quality of those instructions matter, too, and that's probably why we sucked... assuming that we were even doing that (maybe we sucked because our practices were slow AND our instructions were bad).

RELEASE THE KRAKEN! ...Rum.

RELEASE THE KRAKEN! ...Rum.

It's not our scheme. It's our

It's not our scheme. It's our players. We don't zone very well, and when we do, the backs don't hit the holes. Fitz doesn't run down hill like he needs to. He dances and wastes time in the hole. If he would at least run forward he'd at least get 2-3 yards a play, and if you combined that with some good zone blocking, we'd break one every now and then.

Edit: To restate that a little bit... it's our players who aren't performing in the running game, Fitz especially. It's our coaching that's implimenting the scheme and responsible for teaching it. I'm tired of Borgus.

They could have run the ball

They could have run the ball more. We looked like an airraid offense.

For me... so long as it's

For me... so long as it's tasty and I don't have to do any work other than lifting it to my mouth, that's perfect tailgate food.

If you compare stats... it's

If you compare stats... it's easy to see why. I think he plays a huge role in the scheme, but he's not making 70 tackles like Te'O http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/manti-teo-1.html He's at more like 20 http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/ryan_jake00.html

How do o.O?

How do o.O?

I'd like for him to be

I'd like for him to be healthy for The Game. I don't want them to make any excuses, and I'd love to beat them at their best. I'd also love for them to be undefeated coming into our game. That way it's a win win situation. If we win, we'll crush them. If we lose, their sanctions will crush them.

And people are so sick of me

And people are so sick of me missing their evening commitments like weddings and other family stuff because of Michigan football.

Your calls are bad and you

Your calls are bad and you should feel bad.

So how do we figure out what

So how do we figure out what his route is?

Bitches don't know about my 4

Bitches don't know about my 4 pairs of long johns... and that makes me really sad.

I remember watching Michigan

I remember watching Michigan play in the Rose Bowl while I was on vacation with my family in 1997. I was seven years old, and I watched it form the swimming pool - they had a TV. I was aware of football the following year aswell. I'm sure of it... I just don't remember quite as well. That pool is what really stood out in my mind. It was fun.

Also... it wasn't 1997... I should google things first. W/e that pool was awesome.

Do it. Just drive a car/take

Do it. Just drive a car/take a bus.

I think he is more accurate I think he is more accurate because the fakes are better blocked. the fakes I've seen from the gun usually leave debated standing still in the pocket with a few linemen pulling to sell the fake... then denard throws his famous jump shot, which only seems to work with really tall guys.
Wasn't that last punt a

Wasn't that last punt a perfect analogy for this Michigan State team? They score a TD, or come close to it, and they get a penalty which makes them lose the game.

I thought he was some what pushed into the kicker, but still.

Agreed. There might be a drop

Agreed. There might be a drop off in production simply because we've got a beast of a schedule. That's on the seniors this year to make sure we're on top. We've got to set out sights on the national championship if we want to come out alive.

Denard would be the best NFL

Denard would be the best NFL prototypical quarterback ever... if he could just remain consistent. They give him a relatively easy game plan compared to the NFL, and that's contributing BIG TIME, but he's got a bullet that can fit inside a tin can and a deep ball to die for. If and when he learns how to make these plays with consistency, he'll be the best QB there ever was.

That's true. I would have

That's true. I would have liked to see that, but in all honesty I don't hardly ever see anyone shaking hands aside from the coaches. I think only a few players ever really shake hands. Most of the time they look like they just slap the hands of 2 or 3 guys and leave.

Wow... muppets have never

Wow... muppets have never felt so good!

I just wanted to follow up.

I just wanted to follow up. This poor couple got hammered. Multiple friends and relatives complained about the date, far more than I think they anticipated. A quote from the frustrated bride: "I am the show. You're supposed to be watching me." The obvious message here is to not get married on an important date. You WILL regret it.

They were EXTREMELY lucky that they planned the reception at 4 o'clock. I went to an Irish pub around half time and partied it up in Hale Michigan with a bunch of other random Michigan fans, and one person from ohio. Nice people.

Great. Now I feel like I've

Great. Now I feel like I've made the wrong choice.

I'd use the Palmer Structure

I'd use the Palmer Structure parking on Washtenaw Avenue. Just take Main to Huron. It'll be on you're right. It's a ways away though.
