Michigan vs Louisville in basketball. My loyalties stayed with Michigan, but if Michigan wasn't involved, I would have celebrated Louisville just the same. Sad thing is because of Louisville's malfeasance, I ended up losing twice in that championship game.
The conference wants Michigan to accept the plea deal rather than going through an entire trial. They're hoping Michigan makes a risk assessment and just accepts a fine even though that would be an admission of guilt.
I've heard the shirt and hat matching the other sideline guys at CMU, but anyone else notice he has the same shoes as the other guys around him in this video? If it's CS, that's an extremely high attention to detail.
$5-6mm/year for Bennett would absolutely be worth it. Not a chance it happens, but may as well make an offer. Hell, Holtmann makes $7mm at OSU. Surely Bennett should command more.
I agree with you here, PopeLando. Which is why I'm still on the fuck Penn State bandwagon. They've chosen to continue to defend their idols instead of own up to it, call them out, and let them stand as an example of what could go wrong when you have no principles.
As my username suggests, I went to BYU. As a religious school that has a lot of people enroll from all across the country, there are lots of mixed allegiances when it comes to athletics, like me with Michigan/BYU. A few years ago when Alford had moved on from Iowa to New Mexico, BYU had a big game vs UNM and there was a huge line of students camped outside waiting for good seats for that evening's game. It just so happened that we were all there when the UNM team bus pulled up and in walked the team. There was a nominal amount of jeering, nothing too harsh. But when Alford walked by, a BYU student with Iowa ties started yelling at Alford for ruining Iowa. He probably went a little overboard. But what surprised me was Alford actually responded and went back and forth with a student for a couple minute! Yelling and everything! I was completely taken back that this grown man let a student get the best of him.
Ed Lamb moved over to BYU this past season to be the Assistant Head Coach (he covers special teams unit too) under Kalani Sitake (former Utah DC under Kyle Whittingham and Oregon State DC under Gary Anderson).
Most around BYU expect him to only last a year or two more before becoming a head coach somewhere. He got looked at for the Nevada job that just opened up. But he'll get a FBS job soon.

If things stay the same for 2017, Playstation Vue might be the best option. It's the only cordcutter's streaming service that includes all the Fox networks (FS1, FS2, FX, FXX) and ESPN networks. Just add an antenna for ABC and FOX and you're good to go.

I guess their medical school isn't on their main campus. The research $$ related to the medical school no longer counted. Thus, the loss of AAU membership.

No response, of course. The best part is Rosenberg (who was aware because spartyguy actually tagged him) favorited my response.

BYU/Utah rivalry is pretty vicious right now. Is BYU dirty? Maybe. Has there been a lot that's happened in the past couple of years where BYU players could've taken the higher road? Sure. Does it happen lots of places? Sure. Does that excuse it? No. Will fans of rival schools like Utah make a bigger deal of it than should be made? Yup. Is it easier to jump on the religious school when they fail to live up to their values? Obviously. That's always more fun. Are these self-answered questions getting annoying. Yup.
FYI I grew up in Michigan and have been a lifelong Michigan fan. Went to BYU for school so I now root for both schools.

Bronco has actually been vocal about not staying forever at BYU. Said he'd leave for the right opportunity or when he's no longer wanted. 11 years is actually longer than many thought he'd stay.
What's funny is the ncaa was talking about not yet knowing how they'll handle it when they were the ones who approved all these bowl games in the first place. Could they not do the math?
BYU has had a lot of success over the last decade with Polynesians as either the FB or the secondary "bruiser back" that come from the intermountain west or Pacific islands. They are big, tough and grow up playing rugby - knowing how to deliver hits. They're out there. They would fit perfect in this offense. More Sione Houmas (he's out of Salt Lake himself).
As posted above, BYU belongs to an association of officials (same as big 12) to determine suspensions in cases like this. Of course BYU can go above and beyond. But independence isn't a factor here.
Yes, it's a dirty play. Not to excuse, but the quick gifs floating around the Internet don't show the full story. This was a fumble 10 yards beyond the okay. BYU guy jumped on it and had laid there with the ball for a full 2-3 seconds before Boise guy speared him and started wrestling. Wrong? Yes. Unprovoked? Nope.
