I’d make equal fun of an 11W…

I’d make equal fun of an 11W poster with a post like that one. Laughable and you know it

Such tough talk. If I didn’t…

Such tough talk. If I didn’t know better I’d think you were putting the pads on

Very true. Tattoo gate didn…

Very true. Tattoo gate didn’t gain OSU a competitive advantage, but damn if I didn’t have to hear about that for 10 years plus

Did your OSU buddy become a…

Did your OSU buddy become a fan last week? I mean, this year alone they’ve been without JSN basically all year, not to mention plenty of others you may not have heard of, but who are solid players and big injuries in their own right. Heck, they won a natty with their 3rd string QB not too long ago.  They’ve had tons of big injuries over the years, they just tend to have enough talent and depth to overcome them

I’m genuinely curious, in…

I’m genuinely curious, in what ways do you feel Day is a bad guy? I get it’s OSU and you’re likely to hate any HC they have, but aside from that, I’m just curious what your reasons are? I’m not talking about why you dislike him, such as so called comments about hanging a 100, I’m talking about what you think makes him a bad guy. I certainly understood it with Urban, but I’m baffled when it comes to Day

Oh come on, he absolutely…

Oh come on, he absolutely listed out excuses while claiming he won't make excuses.  I'm an OSU fan and I actually really like Howard, he's a real dude, but that was a passive aggressive way of making it known the reasons for his actions.

I'm not one of those Buckeye…

I'm not one of those Buckeye fans.  You guys whooped our ass this year, plain and simple.  I of course wanted you to lose to GA, but there are no victory laps considering you beat OSU, made the playoffs and ended our playoff hopes.  But what I do find funny are the amount of comments I see from Michigan fans ripping Buckeye fans for the same thing you've been doing for years.  You don't think Michigan fans gave us shit for getting blown out by Bama last year, or losing to Clemson a few years back?  I also get a kick out of comments ripping OSU for making excuses for the loss.  While I hated the BS flu comments from Stroud tbh, I still find it funny considering I've heard excuses from Michigan fans, players and coaches for years.  Perhaps just a bit of self-awareness would be nice, and for somebody to stop pretending Michigan fans are above the very things they criticize other fanbases for.

You mean like what you guy…

You mean like what you guy have done for the better part of the last 20 years?

Now that’s a fair and well…

Now that’s a fair and well balanced comment. Unlike the guy acting like OSU is some soft pushover you guys will manhandle every year now based on one game.

Please tell me you didn’t…

Please tell me you didn’t write this with a straight face?

And here I thought bagmen…

And here I thought bagmen were the sole reason for their recruiting success

Being completely honest, I…

Being completely honest, I dislike you guys more than ever.  It used to be about the rivalry, the game.  Obviously not every fan is the same, but the typical OSU fan despises Michigan and wants to beat the ever-loving crap out of you.  It used to be the same the other way from your base.  But there was a mutual respect in some weird way.  You'd think the past few decades would have humbled you guys a bit, but It's evolved into crying about online classes, bagmen and referees.  Then there's the talking down, the disparaging comments about Ohioans, the played out cooler pooper comments, the inferior education comments, and on and on.  Even the stupid "Ohio" crap annoys the hell out of me.  Then there's the delusion, oh the delusion.  I get that you have had to grasp for something when there's nothing you can really say football wise, but your fans have taken it to crazy heights.  Your comment implies that you're surprised that OSU fans would continue to despise you even after all of the OSU ass-kickings?  It's because you guys have made it easy to continue despising you.

You may as well pretend…

You may as well pretend those first 3 games never happened, because they are a night and day different football team from then.  Stroud was playing his first games ever, and they literally ran a different defensive scheme under a different DC.  While I don't think the OSU D is elite by any means, the difference between now and when they played MN, Tulsa and Oregon is almost unexplainable.  The only chance you have to beat OSU is if your coaches can design a defense to confuse OSU.  Nebraska and PSU did somehow.  You'll pretty much know whether or not that's the case halfway through the 1st quarter.  If you guys get a few early stops, that bodes well for the entire game.  If OSU scores on their first few drives, it will never stop.

You guys are reaching new…

You guys are reaching new levels when it comes to complaining about the refs.  You've now resorted to pre-complaining about calls that have yet to happen.

He said Stroud is different,…

He said Stroud is different, not better.  And he's comparing Stroud the college player to Haskins and Fields as college players.  You are the one that equated that to how they will pan out in the NFL. But if you're still hanging your hat on how OSU QB's perform in the NFL, you're going to have nothing to argue there either in the near future.  They don't recruit guys like Barrett and Braxton anymore, they recruit the best of the best, and if they can run as well, even better.  If you just assume guys like Stroud and Ewers will be NFL busts simply because of OSU's history with QB's in the NFL(under different coaches who recruited different style QB's), again, you will lose that argument soon enough anyway.  As for Fields, he's played a handful of games for an awful offense and HC, it's way too premature to call him a bust

I know I received an Ohio…

I know I received an Ohio State education and all, but the math doesn’t quite add up here

I have to say, I love the…

I have to say, I love the new energy on these boards. It was getting a little old reading all the crying about online classes and bagmen. The game is a lot more fun when there’s genuine hope and excitement

I definitely deserved that!

I definitely deserved that!

The good news is this should…

The good news is this should push your average player rating above Rutgers.  Quite the recruiting battle between you guys.

You can literally say that…

You can literally say that about every game. Of course if NW was able to stop the run it would have changed the game.  They couldn’t stop the run though, so that’s meaningless. I suppose I can just say if OSU was able to pass better, they would have won by 4 TD’s, but that also seems pretty meaningless given the fact the passing game stunk

First off, OSU doesn’t make…

First off, OSU doesn’t make the schedule. Second, do you really think there’s anyone in the B1G OSU is afraid of? And 3rd, it was only easy because the B1G stinks. Not their fault PSU stunk and you guys ducked us. They played the top team before their QB went down, and they just beat probably the other top team. Who exactly were they lucky to avoid, Wisconsin?

With all due respect,…

With all due respect, yesterday’s loss wasn’t about recruiting, or restrictions on which players Michigan will accept, or any of those things. You lost at home to a team with much less talent. Yesterday was about coaching, plain and simple. And Tucker wasn’t all that good either, yet he still out-coached you guys. I’m not trying to rub salt in your wound, I get that to contend with the elite of the elite, you need to recruit far better. But IMHO, that shouldn’t even be the conversation right now. The conversation should be why you couldn’t dominate an obviously inferior opponent, and then realize that even with better talent, you may not have the right staff in place to best utilize it.

In my humble opinion, as an…

In my humble opinion, as an OSU fan that I realize you don’t probably care to hear from, Jeff Hafley is the guy I think Michigan should go after if they decide to move on from Harbaugh.  Young, energetic, amazing recruiter. He only coached one year at OSU and doesn’t really have deep ties there, so it’s not like trying to get a guy like Fickel or Urban. In a year or two, I think top schools will be chasing him, so Michigan could get ahead of it.

From what I’ve read on 11W,…

From what I’ve read on 11W, OSU likes him as a DB, but Saunders prefers to play on offense. Unless one side budges, it seems there isn’t much mutual interest. Very similar scenario as Lorenzo Styles Jr.

Your post made me think of…

Your post made me think of my cousin, who also has been one of my best friends my entire life.  He's also dealt with substance abuse issues for most of his adult life, until the last few years.  I thought I knew him better than anybody, yet it wasn't until a few weeks ago that he shared with me that we was sexually abused at camp when he was a kid.  This is a cousin and best friend I've known my entire life, and I had no clue.  I can only imagine how hard it is for victims to come forward and tell their stories to strangers.

First off, great post. …

First off, great post.  Those same people you described who take some sort of pleasure in these types of scandals are also the ones who have such fake outrage about said scandals.  Their first instinct is not sorrow for the victims, but rather to gloat about how that school had issues their school did not.  Yes, there will be people ridiculing Michigan.  I am not one of those people, and I also realize that it is possible to both be disgusted about certain things, and still be a fan of that school/team, etc.  What bothers me is when it's implied that my morals and ethics are compromised because I dare still root for a team that may have done things I dislike, or the school I attended may be involved in situations I don't like.  Will those same people cease to support Michigan?  Of course not

Riep was in line to start at…

Riep was in line to start at slot corner. I couldn’t care less, I hope he rots in prison. This isn’t about OSU football or roster spots, this was a disgusting act, and it’s about the victim, who I pray doesn’t become vilified herself

Humiliating?  They played…

Humiliating?  They played their assess off and showed incredible heart.  I realize you know very little about what that looks like, watching your team of shit talking losers every year, but there was nothing remotely humiliating about going toe to toe with the best of the best, and the players leaving it all out there on the field.

Buh, buh, we're one of the…

Buh, buh, we're one of the most iconic blue blood football schools, but our crybaby fanbase sits around obsessing about OSU all day.  They beat our asses every year, so the only thing we can do to find any semblance of happiness is to cry about big, bad OSU, and their bagmen and online classes.  Never mind that we have a so called elite coach making absurd money, and we pull in top 10 recruiting classes every year, and have top notch facilities and are a fantastic academic institution.  We still will cry about how unfair things are as if we are NE Idaho State, and beg the NCAA to expand the playoffs to include enough teams to get our mediocre team in there, even though we would just get smoked in the first round anyway.  At least we could then say we made the playoffs.   And even though we underachieve every year, lose to our biggest rival, quit in our meaningless bowl game, and act baffled when 5 more players transfer out, we still can pray OSU loses in a game that matters against real competition, and take some type of pleasure if they lose.  Then we can talk a bunch of shit all year again, belittle kids because they happen to play for a team we don't like, hype up our mediocre football program yet again, and then get our assess kicked......again.  Then we can create 50 more threads crying about OSU and make up a whole new set of excuses for why they are so superior.  Wash, rinse, repeat.  PATHETIC!

How about the image of your…

How about the image of your loser fanbase and your 20 threads about OSU.  You talk more about OSU than your own team.  Pathetic.  I'm proud of OSU, they played their asses off against an elite team in the playoffs.  Your team of losers won't even show up, as usual.  Then 5 more players will transfer out, you'll have another mediocre season and lose to OSU, and you can cry about bagmen and online classes all over again, while praying OSU loses to teams that would beat your scrub team by 50

Yet the only thing you…

Yet the only thing you losers can talk about is OSU.  Pathetic how giddy your fanbase is about OSU losing a hard fought playoff game to an elite team.  I guess if your own team gives you no joy, you have to resort to these pathetic threads to feel better about yourselves.

This is one of many…

This is one of many hilarious threads going on.  Never mind there are more OSU threads than Michigan threads right now, but the hypocrisy is astounding.  You guys are still crying about a game from 2016.  If you looked up excuse making in the dictionary, it would say "see MGoBlog for examples."

You think maybe if the Cavs…

You think maybe if the Cavs had one of the 50 greatest players ever along side of him, plus other great players, he wouldn't have left to play with other stars?  Lebron left Cleveland, and the Cavs instantly were the worst team in the league.  Jordan retired, and the Bulls won 50 plus games and went to an Eastern conference championship without him.  I still think Jordan was the greatest, but that argument is absurd.  The reason guys like Bird, Magic and Jordan stayed put is because they already played in major markets with stacked teams.

This is one of the most…

This is one of the most Michigan things ever too, dedicating a thread to something as insignificant as this as a way to continue talking about OSU.  Rent free, keep the threads coming.

Im not the one who claimed…

Im not the one who claimed otherwise.

Maybe it’s time you and…

Maybe it’s time you and others here educate yourselves on Cardale Jones, rather than continue to disparage him: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2019/12/17/cardale-jones-ohio-state-nfl-xfl-dc-defenders/4408509002/

I’m sure you’re deeply…

I’m sure you’re deeply concerned about what’s in the best interests of Justin Fields

OSU feels pretty…

OSU feels pretty disrespected too. They were the most dominant team pretty much all year, and after 1 bad half, they were moved to number 2 in the rankings, and suddenly viewed as a flawed team. Since then, most of the country has been predicting Clemson, and they are the favorites in the betting line. Clemson went from being sort of the forgotten team throughout the year, to one that has been talked about probably more than anybody. When 90% of the population has a hot take about what a sleeping giant Clemson is, they no longer are a sleeping giant. Then you have the narrative about OSU getting blown out by Clemson and a few SEC teams over the years, while never given their due when beating the likes of Alabama and others.  Both teams have plenty of added motivation, but that won’t determine who wins. The team with better players and a better game-plan will win

Not to mention, he continues…

Not to mention, he continues to imply that OSU fans are making life difficult for him, then proceeds to claim none of them have the balls to say anything to him. So it sounds to me like the big bad evil OSU fans he’s referring to are doing nothing more than supporting the team they love, just as he does for the team he loves.

I concur, I hate the Ohio…

I concur, I hate the Ohio thing. What he said really does work

Seriously though Eli, you’re kind of contradicting yourself.  Your implication is that asshole OSU fans are being obnoxious and constantly getting under your skin. Then you proceed to say you are intimidating looking(or so you’re told, whatever than means), and they wouldn’t say shit to you. As for your question, do what you want. You don’t need anyone’s permission to wear a Clemson hat or whomever. But if what you said is true, it sounds like you are kind of a poor sport, rather than a victim of asshole OSU fans.  And while that would irritate some OSU fans, most would see it as desperate and pathetic. I’m a Browns fan, and while I enjoy seeing Pittsburgh lose, that doesn’t necessarily make me feel any better that the Browns suck, nor does it give me a reason to call scoreboard to them, simply because some other team beat them that wasn’t the team I root for
