I could see from the perspective of being a young player with no college experience and having everybody hate on your new coach being a problem and a distraction to the team. That is likely why the seniors who were once freshman stood up and lead the team that first year Hoke came in. Hoke did have more support from everybody.
I was not around on this site when the 2011 coaching decision was made. Was it as crazy as this? After someone posted the hello post yesterday I thought i was going to lose it. If we dont get Harbaugh alot of people are going to be disapointed.

What really kills me is when soldiers miss the birth of their kids and they video tape the dads meeting their children for the first time i always cry like a baby. My husband only did a six month tour overseas but our daughter grew so much in that short time.
I hate both but I have to think Sparty will pull this one out. If Ohio State won and we happened to be blessed by the football angels to beat Ohio in late November I think I would die for real.

He is still coaching for his job and clearly not doing a good job at that. We all want Harbaugh but why would they build a guy up that they intend to fire.

The last one had a pastor say what a great guy he is and how much he respects Hoke. It just seems like that's the direction things are heading. I do think Brandon is out the door.
The FanMan I agree the first friend was definately not raped and just made a poor choice in who she slept with. If she had been a bad person she could have caused trouble for the guy she had slept with. When a girl says she was raped I think most people tend to believe the girl. A lot of women never come forward like my second friend because they fear the individual and most of all the process that is supposed to bring about justice. I don't think she felt like there could ever be justice for the aftermath of what she experienced.

I am raising my daughters to understand that they need to take personal responsibility for themselves and drink responsibly and not depend on others to look out for them if they are passing out that is what I am saying. Obviously it is horrific for men to be falsely accused when the hookup was consensual. Women who falsely accuse of rape should be punished legally. I am not anti guy here I simply worry about my girls as they grow and that's my focus.
I think Erik has it exactly right men need to be raised that its not ok to get girls drunk and sleep with them. One dumb hook up decision can wreck their future and there are women out there who have no problem lying because she may not want to be branded as a slut and would rather be a "victim" . I would just add that its hard when you add alcohol especially from the girls perspective we are a thousand times more vunerable.I know a girl who had a boyfriend and questioned the next day to herself if she really agreed to cheat on him.I know another girl from highschool who was clearly passed out and was raped by an adult and had to be told the next day that she was violated. I think there is a lot of truth that most girls have been kind of raped. Sitting and talking with girlfriends many have been in situations that they should not have been in. I teach my girls that they must take care of themselves first and to not depend on others to watch over them. I learned that lesson when I was young from my highschool friend. She expected people to look out for her but sometimes in that kind of situation people get scared and don't know what to do.
I agree this is not funny. I have four daughters and it would make me sick to see them get tackled by any guy let alone a huge professional football player. They put these guys in an impossible position. Most men have been raised to be protective towards females, so now they have to tackle one for their job so everybody can be politically correct. I know I just dont have the upper body strength or build to take the hits that a man my same height and weight can take. I feel like I am in some kind of bizarro world. Why would a girl want to play football? Why do guys wear skinny jeans? Why is music shit now days? Why cant football season start already?
My favorite part was him showing the picture of CW on the All American wall and saying I'm coming for all your records. This kid is not lacking any confidence.

Nobody enters my family room on game day without wearing Michigan clothing everybody in the house is on board with that rule. My family outside of my house knows not to call me unless someone is dying.
I am in the Fenton/Linden area too and have no power. We had some tree branches down in the backyard . My hubby is dealing with the sump pump today we will definitely have to look into the battery backup suggestion.
