He's entitled to his opinion…

He's entitled to his opinion and can express it however he'd like to whether we like it or not....I draw the line at calling kids out by name. That crossed the line.

Frickin dumb and dumber…

Frickin dumb and dumber......whatever

Urban Meyer = Pathological…

Urban Meyer = Pathological liar

Great write up......I have…

Great write up......I have been saying for weeks that I think this team is going to suprise people. Not saying a natty or anything like that but it wouldn't be a shock if they made the CFP to me as much as it would some folks.

Best of luck to him......he…

Best of luck to him......he made the decision that he felt was right.....I'm not going to judge him on the reasons why.

As has been said in the past....I'll pay attention to the kids that are here and not worry about the kids that aren't.

It shouldn't stop with…

It shouldn't stop with Engler.....the whole BOT needs to go. Ferguson is a microcosm of the problem. Yes, I know there are probably some upstanding folks on that board but their silence is appalling. Blow the whole thing up.

Really not going to get my…

Really not going to get my knickers in a bunch because a recruiting guru gave a crystal ball to some 18 year old kid 6 months in advance of him signing.....really?

Please keep in mind that kids have a say.....Michigan high school kids don't automatically go to M or MSU. Remember the old saying....you can lead a horse towater but you can't make him drinl.

This whole thing has been a…

This whole thing has been a bit more than weird.....I have a hard time believing that Coach is truly interested in coaching this band of characters or in the NBA for that matter. Blake Griffin and Reggie Jackson are incredibly over rated and injury prone and Andre Drummond is not going to be the 2nd coming of anything resembling an elite center. If Coach was to go to the NBA I think there would be better situations for him to look at should he truly be interested.

The other odd thing is why? Curiosity maybe. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would need to resort to leverage to get him or his assistants a raise.Maybe this is his way of telling Warde it needs to happen sooner than later.

In any case, I think he stays....they have a great foundation to build on for the next several years.

Not a crootin guru....

But this seems like a good to great pickup. Agree that it's been eons since we had a good punch the opponent in the face road grading offensive line who plays pissed off.....

It'll be interesting to see who is the next OL to commit.....my money is on Harrod.

Actually.....

One of my b*tches with the current 4 team p/o format is that it is a proven fact that a loss at the end of the year is much more costly than a loos at the front end.

Hypothetically if M loses to ND and runs the table including the B10 championship game they should make the playoff (I believe)......sadly beat ND, run the table and lose in the B10 title game and they'd be out.

This is one of the reasons I believe that an 8 team playoff make perfect sense.

If the accuser recanted.....

Then it's somewhat of a dead issue.....

The Lions certainly deserve some heat for not discovering this sooner......we take background checks here at work very seriously as we should. I've seen good candidates lose their place in line for a postion for far less serious findings.

Patricia shouldn't lose his job but the Lions in my mind owe their fans an explanation and shame on them if he or they are using the "he was 21 and on Spring break in Texas" line. The optics of that are really bad given the lanscape of this issue in today's world.

Hutch is the best...no question

But what Meghan is doing is a little mind blowing. The latest NCAA stats show she is 5 wins ahead off the next pitcher in line. It might be an understatement but for a freshwoman that is absolutely off the charts.

Go Blue!

Travel a lot.....

Uunfortunately a fair bit in the Butteye state.

I am trying to work out more and eat better.......definitely wasn't as dilligent over the years as I should have been. I watch a lot of NEtflix and Amazon Prime downloads and read. I'm reading a fabulous book on J. Edgar Hoover right now.

It's not glamorous but it is what it is.

It's crootin'

Enough said....wouldn't get my underwear bunched up or make judgements because some 18 year old didn't pick Michigan.

Maybe just maybe Michigan is targeting kids other than in-staters. Frankly I'll trust the coach's judgements rather than a blogger.....

Talk to me in December and February when these kids have to sign on the dotted line. A lot can/will happens between now and then.

Stay stubbornly strong Ace....

Best of luck and much prayers for you.....

Can lose either way.....

Either school on his resume will certainly not hurt.....I agree with the prior comments as far as leveraging the financial aid.

I'm sure you and the wife are bursting with pride.....that is quite an achievement.

Glad to hear the positive news.....

You and the family are in our prayers......here's to a full, speedy recovery!

This isn't even worth getting excited over.....

I mean come on....when Trace"throw it up and hope to God my guy ctaches it" McSorely and Tua "my claim to fame is an OK half and an OT in the natty" Tagovailoa are 1 and 2 along with a Clemson recruit who has never taken a snap is on the list.

There are several reasons why the Sporting News is irrelevant......this is a fine example of why.

Not an OL expert......

But I have a few reasons to be optimistic:

  • There are a lot of instances in which less is more...I think this is one of them.
  • Warriner has street cred......His work at OSU says a lot to me.
  • I think Herbert and his techniques will bring a lot to the team

If they can sustain blocks and give the QB (Shea?) time to throw I like their chances.

Sad news......

Both of my children were high risk pregnancies and are alive today becuase of the cooperation and efforts of both of these organizations. While I realize that its's always about money, it's too bad it's about the money.

I'm sure that there are alot of other couples who were in our situation and were helped out by the cooperative efforts of these two organizations......I hope the relationship can be mended.

Laughable......

The schedule bothers me none.....if you're good enough you need to win no matter where the venue.

Like last year....the OL will be key. Shea will be an upgrade over last year's QB play.

Once again......

This will be spun by MSU fans (at least some) that this is naother act of irresponsible reporting by the media....they'll even figure out a way to blame this on ESPN.

The PGA Tour....

Has figured out that they can live w/o Tiger.....you and the Media should too.

Can't have it both ways.....

You'd have come on here bitching if M had lost multiple games during this streak so don't come on here and poo-poo that they got the job done.

The program is building and improvong so let's give credit where credit is due.

The flip side to that is...

How many have they won?

How many times do we have to explain to these....

Knuckleheads....the idea is to win and advance. You don't get to pick your opponents.

I mean they should get it...after all their path was to beat the #13 seed and the #11 seed.....Oh that's right they didn't beat the #11 seed.

Get over it......LOL

How about we consider.....

That Villanova was just a better team......don't need to be looking for a smoking gun that's not there...

Strongly disagree....

They simply plug and play.....

Forget Cleveland's ineptitude.....they are not taking Baker Mayfield at #1.....Barkley is not going to fall to #7 (or whatever they project).....

Whiney B*tches......

It's not a hard lesson to comprehend....you win and you play again.....you don't chosse your opponents.

Don't know if I break that down any simpler......not sorry that they didn't get the memo and kept winning to keep going.....

Hope he has a good career.....

But at the same time I am skeptical.....he seems to play soft for a kid with his skills. Would love to see him banging inside instead of floating aorund the 3 point line.

I think Jackson will be back.....he seems to need more meat on his bones. But gaain I've heard that his parents were unhappy with his PT at the end of the year. Gotta beleive they could have beaten Syracuse with him on the floor in place of carter.

Kind of silly....

To have nine finalists but it is the NCAA....

Not an objective view but this is a no brainer....from a program in a bit of a downward spiral to one of the better teams in the NCAA since the 1st of the year.....Mel definitely deserves this one.

Good Idea......

Now let's see if they can enforce it. Their refs seem to have the inability to make the most basic of calls even with replay.

Hey Tom....

No sympathy for self inflicted wounds.......

I'm waiting for the "how much adversity we faced this year" speech....it's coming. tom Izzo is a Hall of Fame whiner......

Actually think.....

Mo will stay...seems like a pretty gounded kid who knows his limitations. He also seems to genuinely enjoy his M experience.

Don't really care about JJJ but a couple of my Sparty friends are saying his parents are really pissed about his PT.....they feel like he is on a much shorter leash than any of the others. Take that for what it's worth.

Frankly who gives.....

A rats ass that Michigan doesn't promote the Spring game and OSU does and might sell it out. There are far more important things about Michigan football to pay attention to.

As one the the other posters said.....the weather is dicy anyway.....

Nice summary....

Kudos to you for putting this together....

Good for him....

Ryan is a great kid...unfortunately he was behind Nordin on the depth chart.

Best of luck to him in the land of creamsicles......

This will be spun as....

Hharbaugh the attention hound......sad what jealousy will spawn.

Not sure......

If Bridges will be a good pro. Seems to give new meaning to the word "SOFT"

Three comments......
  1. As far as when the best time to discuss my plans for next season......uh never.
  2. I will give them credit for having a sense of humor.
  3. This made me think it was an April Fool's joke.
Typical NCAA.....

Instead of doing the right thing and cleaning the game up they are focusing on cosmetic changes.

I'll make it easy for them......screw the experiment and make the rules the same as the NBA. I mean in addition to developing "student atheletes" they are supposed to be getting these kids ready for the NBA....right?

I wouldn't take that bet.....

ESPN will bring him in for his "expertise"......wonder if they'll have a "Rick's Top Ten Escort Service" list?

Two words....

Butt ugly.....but they’ll look good in three year when he gets canned and moves on the Conference USA.

Talk about a guy full of himself

Quintero Golf Club....

Reasonbly priced in April.....great shape and enough different tee positions that it can be playable for anyone. The food at the turn was awesome. Saw the biggest snake that I've ever seen in my life there....ugh

The hotel concierge recomended it and actually got us a deal on the greens fees...they are $150 in April.

Enos is a POS......

Be a man and stand behind your commitment.....you knew the score going in. The fact that he took a lower job and bolted for a higher job when it became available isn't on Michigan. My black and white world says you stand behind your commitment.....don't make one if you can't.

A couple of other points:

  • The world is ltttered with folks who do jobs that they are over quailified for.
  • Enos would be a train wreck as the OC.....he personally ran the CMU offense into the ground. He pulled a Rich Rod and tried to take a team that was set up for the spread and immediately run the pro set. Picture this....down one to Navy....4th and 1 and Navy has a stacked line....the dumb *sss runs a 165 ib. tailback into a goal line defense and gets stuffed....Navy takes the ball down the field, scores and puts the game away. This sequence was a microcosm of his time at CMU.

Remember....never assume anything.

NY Post....LOL

When did they become the bastions of truth or CFB recruiting experts?

No thanks....

I'll pass on that...LOL

Way past over it but.....

Good luck to the young man......hope Georgia is all he hopes for.

While they are 18 year old kids and some have no sense.....I kind of struggle with this one. My opinion is that our society today struggles with commitment. He made a verbal commitment to M a long time ago. If he was uncertainn then why not decommit? I don't think he woke this morning flipping a coin between Michigan and the Dawgs. Don't like the fact that he basically may have been stringing folks along.....Decommit and let Michigan make their own decision, he could always recommit if he felt complelled to do so.

I know it's crootin and they are kids but it still doesn't seem right. To be fair, it's not right for the schools to string kids along either.

I wonder what the motivation to....

Extend a grey shirt? I get he's the #1 kicker and all that but Nordin had a heckuva a year last season and I wouldn't think kickers are much of a threat to leave early.

Were there issues with Nordin last year other than his slump that I missed?

I would imagine....

After the Swenson fiasco that the staff is trying to be abundantly clear in their expectations.....

I do have to laugh at the posters who will criticize the coaches like Drevno and Pep among others when recruits end up elsewhere......at they end of the day these are 18 year old kids who have egos as big as Texas. They don't know where the hell they want to go sometimes even after they get there.
