Especially with a weaker SOS?

Especially with a weaker SOS?

Plan on him running the ball…

Plan on him running the ball tomorrow on select plays.  It's a set up!

Maybe there is stuff out…

Maybe there is stuff out there that prevents further punishment because everyone's hands seem to be dirty.

I don't know who it is, but…

I don't know who it is, but if it was Jordan Acker, that would be a really good thing because I would assume he is privy to any investigations that UM has initiated.

This is all about his ego…

This is all about his ego running out of control.  He thinks he is a genius and can't fathom that Michigan out toughed his finesse team the last 2 years.  If he can't win this time, he will never win and his ego can't take that!

Hope the defensive plan is sound, because Michigan is going to see a lot of Ekbuka and Stover.  They will take their shots with Harrison, but those guys are going to eat.  Need to get home with lots of pressure and force rushed throws.

You absolutely nailed it!  I…

You absolutely nailed it!  I actually think this is a coin flip game even with Harbaugh coaching, but the scales are definitely being tipped in OSU's direction.  OSU is loaded with talent and definitely more 5 star talent than Michigan.  He has to convince everyone that it really isn't his fault that they lost.

If the coin flip goes his way this time, then he is the hero of OSU again and all is right with the world.

If the coin flips against him, watch him bolt for Texas A&M.

That's a nice score there!!!

That's a nice score there!!!

Picked up some Bookers and…

Picked up some Bookers and Blanton's recently.  I also have a line on a bottle of Pappys 12 year. Looking forward to enjoying it for the Holidays!

Actually they are just…

Actually they are just parroting the media narrative, but I digress.

It's not going to motivate…

It's not going to motivate them, it's just another excuse which in the end will lull them into a false sense of security.  Whatever, who cares if they can't understand that Michigan beat them 2 years ago by almost exclusively running in the 2nd half.  They have amnesia that they couldn't do anything to stop it.

Last year they had the signs and changed theirs up and it still didn't work.  They haven't figured out they are being fooled.

JJ has not looked…

JJ has not looked particularly good the last few games.  Needs to play confident and have a good game against OSU.

If he is interested in going…

If he is interested in going to the NFL, he needs to have a hell of a game against OSU.  Needs to display his ability to break tackles between the tackles like last year and get in the end zone.

If he destroys OSU and they…

If he destroys OSU and they win the NC, then he probably leaves because not much else to prove at that point.

Too many QBs will be drafted…

Too many QBs will be drafted ahead of him this year.

Survive and advance!!!

Survive and advance!!!

Survive and advance!  That…

Survive and advance!  That is all!

They need to practice arm…

They need to practice arm tackling and stop trying to knock players down with their shoulder.

It's clear to me that…

It's clear to me that Harbaugh is intimately involved in the play calling.  They really haven't looked very dynamic in any of the 5 games he wasn't on the sideline.

Nearly threw a pick the play…

Nearly threw a pick the play earlier and threw into triple coverage there.

JJ really needs to get that…

JJ really needs to get that stuff out of his system.  He is really staring down the primary receiver in this game and isn't really pressured.  Next week is going to be much harder.

Fisch is a good coach.  The…

Fisch is a good coach.  The offense under him was very good and he has done a nice job at Arizona.  I hope that MSU finds a good coach and agree with your sentiment on bringing back a rivalry built on mutual respect for each others program.

No wonder that JH has…

No wonder that JH has flirted with the NFL while at Michigan.  Why would anyone want to deal with all of this nonsense, when you can live like a king in the NFL without all the hassle.

Whether intentional or not,…

Whether intentional or not, it looks like the hearing was a way to force the B1G and NCAA to show their cards.  Wondering if the B1G or NCAA were slowly dripping this stuff out for maximum effect?

Wasn't Stalions hired in…

Wasn't Stalions hired in 2022?

The sign of a good deal is…

The sign of a good deal is when both sides are equally unhappy by the outcome!

it would be a bit of leap to…

it would be a bit of leap to take it away, especially when the narrative is not to punish the players!

Just because the hearing was…

Just because the hearing was tomorrow, does not mean that a decision would have been rendered  in time for the Maryland game.  You were already going to take a 2 game hit, why not get the concession from the B1G that no additional action will be taken and return the focus to the game.

You were already going to serve 2/3rds of the sentence!

Beat them without Harbaugh…

Beat them without Harbaugh and take away all excuses!  This puts even more pressure on Day, lose this one and there will be no scenario you can con the OSU fans into believing you should remain as the head coach.

The potential leverage from…

The potential leverage from the NCAA and B1G in this case may have been ok with Michigan getting an injunction and allowing a fast tracked process to play out.  This would allow the B1G and NCAA to claim the process has played out and then suspend Jim for the B1G Championship and Playoff.

That coupled with additional evidence may have moved the needle.

Looks like both sides came…

Looks like both sides came to their senses and decided that mutually assured destruction was not the best path forward.  Both Brands were being damaged and they needed to come to an agreement on how they were going to move forward together.

I am sure both sides did not…

I am sure both sides did not want this in the courts.  Additional information may have been provided to UM as well that moved the needle here.  The bottom line is that it probably would have gotten even uglier if both sides didn't agree to settle this now.  You can never be sure how a judge will rule in these situations and it is always better to settle then spend exorbitant amounts of money litigating.

I also don't believe that it…

I also don't believe that it was a coincidence that Michigan's response to the B1G was that they consider a suspension of Jim Harbaugh without due process a breach with regards to B1G policy.  To me that was a shot across the bow warning the league they will pursue separating from the B1G if the league keeps pushing in that direction.  Discussing a breach, would indicate Michigan considers the contract broken and therefore free to move on if necessary.

Whether that would hold up in court, who knows, but I don't think it was an accident that they added that phrasing.

The drive back from the game…

The drive back from the game was brutal and it was glorious!

The issue with your thinking…

The issue with your thinking is that the ACC is the only option.  It is also limited to the belief that Michigan would be the only team joining.

Just opinion, but this is just an initial stage of considering options-i.e. negotiating a contract with the Networks as an independent, joining the ACC, joining the SEC or the start of a Super Conference with all the top teams in the country.  The last option would dwarf the money the B1G is getting and the top schools would no longer need to subsidize the smaller/less marketable schools.

Nothing will be happening in…

Nothing will be happening in the short term, but this does open the door for Michigan to start having conversations with other like minded schools.  This very well could be the start of the Super Conference outside of the NCAA.  Regarding the Networks-If the top teams build it they will come.

Not to go all conspiracy…

Not to go all conspiracy theory on everyone, but don't you find it strange that all of these Conference Commissioners seem to be ushering in the destruction of the Conference model.  It almost appears intentional and a way to push this towards a Super Conference with relegation.

There is too much money involved not to at least question motives. These Commisioners (i.e. Pac-12, Big 12 and now B1G) seem to be making some odd decisions.

There is a chance that this…

There is a chance that this could easily not go Michigan's way because he has a background with the school.  It is the path of least resistance from an ethical standpoint quite frankly and might be a bad thing that he is hearing the case.

I have a feeling Michigan is…

I have a feeling Michigan is going to try to run the ball down OSU's throat to prove a point that the signs don't mean a damn thing.  They can know what we are going to do, just like the second half 2 years ago, but will be helpless to stop it!

It will be Harbaugh's way of showing up the NCAA and B1G.

Wasn't there some potential…

Wasn't there some potential connection at Boston College between Ryan Day, Pete Thamel and the WaPo journalist?  I don't care what his connection is the UM as long as this keeps getting the light of day (no pun intended)!

This is on him though!  He…

This is on him though!  He showed weakness by not establishing that the B1G is going to do an investigation by the book.  He was willing to succumb based on an emotional appeal which is not rooted in a sound foundation based on the league policy.  He could have reinforced that there is a process for adjudicating these issues and the rules will dictate action.  Then he would have been on firm ground and difficult to replace.

This is absolutely correct. …

This is absolutely correct.  All of the top programs in college football would generate incredible revenue.

This is starting to feel…

This is starting to feel like a manipulation to convince everyone that Conference affiliation doesn't matter and Super Conferences need to happen sooner rather than later.

Done!

Done!

Clown show at that station!

This whole thing is a clown show at this point!

Always pay very close…

Always pay very close attention to the use of language by people in power or politics.  If you have enough attention to detail, it will tell you a lot based on what is and is not said.  There are no coincidences.

He showed an uncanny ability…

He showed an uncanny ability to do what other schools do, but better.  I doubt anyone really asked many questions about the how since it looks like it is pervasive in the B1G if not the entire NCAA.

If that is the decision he…

If that is the decision he makes, he is not doing the calculus right.  This is akin to 13 smaller countries starting a war with a super power.  It's not going to end well.

This would be a measured…

This would be a measured response that a prudent person would consider.  He basically would be acknowledging that this problem is pervasive and not isolated to one school.  This allows for the an offramp and permanent solution.

What about unequally…

What about unequally applying the rules to the member institutions.

Yes they like big money, but…

Yes they like big money, but big firms don't like to lose those big national cases publicly.  They likely believe they have a good shot at winning.  Losing a big case damages a firms reputation.
