Only 1 TD, but add 4 FGs and we win.

Ace King Rules and Beyond

I agree that I don't think we quite manage the cover, because it will be out of hand early and we win easily, 45-10.  However, I think this is the beginning of a great year, a Big 14 championship, and a playoff run.  I am so tired of the prognosticators picking OSU because they have six starters back and the don't need any more and they play us in Columbus.  Some throw in the observation that we can't expect our second tier outfit to beat MSU, Iowa, or OSU on the road, so we will have a gentlemanly 9-3 record.  A good year, but nothing special.  Then they throw in, "but they are just a year away" from serious contention, with the big games in Ann Arbor next year.  The problem is, whether we finish one, two, or three in the East this year, these experts will never pick us to win the league next year.  The same guys who say that OSU only needs six guys back to win will say that Michigan lost too much to win it in 2017.  We will lose a huge number of seniors and those experts will then decide that the loss of experience and senior leadership will have to doom us in 2017 (and they could be right).  Then it is back on the road in 2018, where we could not possibly win, right?

My point is, we are the best team in the league on any field, we will win it it this year, and we need to win it to get the Monkey and the Sparty and the Brutus off our backs.  We have to really get our confidence back to normal, pre-Rich Rod levels, and sow the seeds of doubt with our enemies.  I refuse to say, just wait until 2019, then we are going to be good and playing with the home field advantage.

Damn the so-called experts, full speed ahead!

Michigan 45-10 and Paramus 27-7

The Wolverines pound the Warriors 45 to 10, allowing one fluky TD, while the Paramus Paladins are too strong for the St. Frances Panthers, winning 27 to 7 (missing one extra point)..

See you there

I talked myself into some expense here.  I am an M grad living in Greenville, OH, forty minutes from UD Arena.  I have taken my youngest sons, now 12 and 13, to football games in Ann Arbor since they were born, but never a basketball game.  I made the mistake last week of telling them that Michigan could just sqeek into the tournament and could then end up in Dayton.  So, I kind of promised that if all the ifs worked out, I would try to get the tickets.  Then, Shazzam, it happened.  i shelled out large quantities to get three tickets together in Section 206 (midcourt), but high in Row N.  But, memories are worth it, right?

Drupal 8

I thought Drupal 8 was the small, lush planet orbiting the large star, Drupal, in the "goldy locks zone," eighth of the twenty-two known planets there.  Perhaps the next home for mankind (and hopefully womankind, too).  Am I right?

The Hell With Them

They wanted out of the series.  They said that ours was an unimportant "regional" series compared to their important rivalries that they wished to preserve.  They can drop dead.  If we meet in a bowl game, fine.  Otherwise, never.

Michigan Squeaks By, 21-19

Woverines give up only one TD and four FGs, and score their third TD in the fourth quarter on a pass from Jake to Jake (or Rudock to Butt) to pull out a thrilling 21-19 victory!

Joey Wannabe Wallaby

As an attorney I'm not worried that there will be a problem adopting the wallaby, as long as a social worker or animal control officer can monitor the situation.  However, if Harbaugh made Shallman wear his hair that way as a punishment of some kind, we are looking at a major NCAA violation.

Reply to Self (don't usually talk to myself)

After no deluge of replies were forthcoming, like none, I called the Park and Ride people in AA.  As I feared, they do not have the vision to see what a great event the spring game will be, and they told me there will be no service for that game.  Maybe if we get 50,000 to the game this year, next spring will be different.  I guess Harbaugh can't take charge of everything personally.

Park N' Ride

Does anyone know if the normal football park and ride locations in Ann Arbor will be open?  I'm about three hours away (behind enemy lines) and for years we have parked at the designated areas and taken the bus on game day instead of fighting to get closer to the stadium.  But we have not attended a spring game in many, many years.  I'm taking my 13 year old and 10 year old boys, so I don't want to explain to them that we are missing the start of the Golden Age of Harbaugh because Dad parked at a deserted and unused parking area.

I don't think we have many predictions for the shirt this week.  I say we mount a rousing comeback in the second half to prevail, Wolverines 28, Byes 17.
