For the guys saying go after Wright and Calipari that has a lot of the feel of MSU fans saying “we’ve got a good shot at Urban”. Those guys were nonstarters. I like the hire, not an amazing pool of candidates but from what’s available he was about as good as you could hope for.
I agree with some of the previous statements. Feels a bit "Little Brother-ish" to go this route. Wear your National Championship gear if you do anything but that's about it. I remember going to watch the Michigan South Carolina bowl game (The Clowney game) at a watch party and some Sparty went and bought a South Carolina jersey ostensibly to piss us off I guess. We just laughed at his dumbass for spending money and time on this idea.
If we remove injury from the equation its gotta be Terrell who to the best of my memory never had any injury issues in the league. As a Bears fan this one cuts deep. Man I thought he was gonna be a stud, but not even a flash in the pan. Barely a flicker.
So should they win, is this actually considered a National Championship? I know it says it in the name but when you look up NCAA Women's National Champion teams they list the winners of the 64 team tournament that goes on in the Spring. I know Track has indoor and outdoor National Titles but I haven't seen the same for tennis.
God, Minter's an old man at 40. Didn't realize how young MacDonald is. Curious to see if Seattle takes a hard look at JJ. Can't see hitching your wagon long term to Geno Smith despite how nice of a comeback he's had
I’m in this boat with my oldest. 3pm today. Trying to balance being excited and encouraging for him but also tempering expectations. He’s got a good shot I think, but so do tons of other kids
Herbert’s not going anywhere. Strength coach in the NFL is not a position of power like it is in college. I think I heard Sam say it’s a lower paying job at that level too. Hell tons of NFL players have their own personal trainers.
Jesus Christ give this a rest…he wants a Lombardi trophy. Michigan can’t give this to him. Not remotely a Warde fan but a guy who has always made it clear there he wanted to get back to the league goes back when he’s reached the mountain top in the college game? This isn’t a shock or anyone’s fault.
As has been said repeatedly, its never about money with Harbaugh. I appreciate Ross doing what he can but this isn't and never has been a dollars and cents issue
I was fine until I heard the "Bring Us Home, Blake" line. So yeah I got misty 3 minutes into the podcast. I'm only 20 minutes deep and stuck at work now. Can't wait to listen to the remaining 180 minutes. Thanks again for this guys... this is the podcast I've been waiting for a decade to listen to
2 bye weeks? When’s the last time that happened? Given the schedule it probably won’t hurt but seems like it’s been a while since we’ve had 2 idle weeks in a season.
Thanks for this Brian, like the game, reading this was cathartic. I was scarred as well by witnessing the 04 Rose Bowl in person (or what my brother in law and I refer to as the “who the hell is Keary Colbert” game). From that point on it just felt like, as much as I love the Rose Bowl, outside of 97 nothing much good happens in Pasadena. But after witnessing Monday night and reading this it reaffirms…good things CAN happen at sunset within sight of the San Gabriel mountains
So essentially both teams are now solely being defined by their last games then? This narrative is stupid and lazy. Us playing a snoozer against Iowa doesn’t erase what has been accomplished throughout the season. Nor does Bama beating UGA erase the fact that they barely escaped losing to 2 or 3 trash teams. Do I think we could lose? Absolutely. But this “Michigan MIGHT win IF they play an A+++ game” shit has to stop. It’s as if Bama has morphed into the 85 Bears in the last 3 weeks. This is the problem of having a month off and nothing to do but rewatch the Iowa game.
Agree with most of what's been previously said here. Its not the arrival time I have issue with but your departure timing. Been to one Rose Bowl back in 04, we lost and jetted at the final whistle (so no time spent watching the trophy ceremony or anything like that) and it still took FOREVER to get out of that depression in the ground where the Rose Bowl is. We took a shuttle in and out of the Rose Bowl and the ride out back to our car took the better part of an hour as I recall.
I’m as frustrated as the next guy with everything going on but Christ some of you get a grip. Apparently this one game in November is gonna dictate the entire rest of the season? Game sucked ass, not happy at all, but already seen more from this team so far to tell us there’s more promise than last year. Put this one in the rear view and move on.
Hoping for someone with the university to hijack the Beaver Stadium sound system just prior to kickoff and suddenly “For He’s A Jolly Good Fellow” begins blaring and Gus Johnson does his best Jim Ross WWE imitation “GOOD GOD! THAT’S JIM HARBAUGH’S MUSIC!”
I think the irony Isaiah points out is so hilarious. Had these teams and the conference recognized the flimsiness of the case and left well enough alone, they would likely have gotten their wish and Harbaugh would’ve left sooner rather than later of his own accord. But having overplayed their hand and creating a unity and university wide love for Harbaugh, the odds are they’ll now have to deal with him for years to come. Well played B1G
Last year on Black Friday I was at the Buffalo Trace distillery in Lexington, KY waiting in line for a Blanton's bottle release. Was wearing a Michigan cap and the guy in front of me turned out to be Garrett Rivas's best friend and we ended up facetiming Garrett for a bit (the guy called him, I didn't ask) while in line.
Bring comfortable shoes (you’re gonna walk a ton). No cell phones whatsoever but an advantage of practice rounds is you can bring in a digital camera (remember those?). Food is good and very cheap but they’ll recoup that money in the souvenir shop. I usually avoid the souvenir shop early on because there’s a huge rush. Maybe go around lunch and you can take your purchases out to your car and still get re-admitted one time. Any other questions let me know…l live in Augusta and am happy to help
Saw it yesterday with my 15 year old daughter who’s recently become a big MI fan. First one I’ve seen in the theatre since MI 1…yeah I’m old. Both of us enjoyed it. Intense nonstop action (could’ve gone for a few breaks in the action honestly). Good story, little eerie considering current real world events

Was at Augusta National with my dad for a practice round. Got to watch it sitting on the 12th tee. Pretty f-ing cool setting for an eclipse

Not sure why a classy statement is a surprise. Didn't really expect anything less from him.

60% of the time these announcements are correct 100% of the time… That said if true…excellent get
God....everytime I think I've read the best piece of writing on this site...along comes another. Fantastic piece...absolutely fantastic
Thanks for the info, appreciate it. That makes more sense to me give everything else I've read about Collegiate Tennis.

Ordered a cap and t shirt from MDen on the 10th…still hasn’t even shipped

Fantastic piece. Didn't realize it but had a co-worker walk by as I was reading it and ask, "what's with that big smile on your face?"
Herbert at the presser. Good sign
Let’s get to work! Congrats Coach
Pete Webber’s endorsement would be key as well
Why did I read that and think “I didn’t know Gerald McCoy was a professional bowler as well as an NFL player?”
I’m in this boat with my oldest. 3pm today. Trying to balance being excited and encouraging for him but also tempering expectations. He’s got a good shot I think, but so do tons of other kids
Fangio is expected to land in Philly

Meh, he had that issue with holding for Ray Finkle and that kick that lost the Dolphins the Super Bowl
Wow…just…wow. Again this site never ceases to amaze me. Fantastically written piece! Go Blue!
Ohio State wins every off season. How’s that worked out for them under Day? Agree we’re in neutral right now but not gonna fret about that
The perfect video doesn’t exis….i stand corrected. Chills…chills and goosebumps
Pure unadulterated awesomeness
As has been said repeatedly, its never about money with Harbaugh. I appreciate Ross doing what he can but this isn't and never has been a dollars and cents issue
Would be happy to get a "Welcome Mr Bond" post (said in Auric Goldfinger's voice)

Great video, thanks for the link!
Some of this stuff is hilariously dated though...i.e. Gus Johnson screaming "THE LEGEND OF JOSH ROSEN!" lol
Gimme! Great idea!

Fantastic article! Also…I’m not crying, you’re crying

My fave was the 98 Rose Bowl…when he was about to spill who won the MVP, “I’ll give you a hint, I’m standing next to his daddy”…got a little dusty

Ah RJ (had us unranked in his 2022 preseason poll) Young has come around

NBA:…
CFB/CBB etc Michigan
NBA: Pistons
MLB: Tigers
NHL: Wings
NFL: Bears (started watching pro ball in the late 70s and was fascinated by Walter Payton’s style of play)
Premiere League: Spurs (I enjoy disappointment apparently)
Abel Brown is a personal favorite (seafood)
Takosushi has always been a hit when I’ve had friends come in town (Mexican and Sushi place…sounds weird but trust me)
Mellow Mushroom for Pizza
Farmhaus for burgers
Rae’s Coastal Cafe for Carribbean (Bill Murray’s fave when he’s in town)
Avoid Washington Road for eats, course is on Washington Road and gets all backed up. Places I’ve mentioned are close but not too close

Risk 1.0 Bot
Ricky the Dragon Streamboat! Short lived IC Champ but that match at the Silverdome at Wrestlemania 3 is my one of my all time favs
Enjoyed the Guinness brewery even if it is a bit touristy
Went to Johnny Fox’s pub north of Dublin. Pretty cool being in a pub over 200 years old
If you like history the National Museum of Ireland is excellent. They have a few “Bog Bodies” there which are morbidly fascinating
