Wojo/DetNews: Thursday Article - McElwain/Sharks

Submitted by MightAndMainWeCheer on

Wojo's weekly Thursday shark (sorry, I mean snark) article just came out.  Normally I view his articles the same way I view my dad's jokes; however, he made some shark jokes (which will never get old).

I’m not sure why McElwain would engage Harbaugh in a battle of wits, because everyone knows if you swim with the game’s sharks, you’re liable to end up sun-burned and photographed with a goofy grin.

What are the odds of any of the following happening (or has already happened):

  • Coach refers to game week as 'Shark Week'
  • 'Shark' is used by the defense as a pre-snap signal
  • 'Shark' is used by Speight as a pre-snap signal
  • The offense uses a new modified Train formation that resembles...yes, a shark
  • Coach(es) use a hand-on-head resembling a fin as a play call signal (Fins up)

Ok, stupid jokes are done. Can we please get to the kicking off please?

Wow, I'm a dad who makes dad jokes, and that was bad. For some reason I read until the end, and just had a picture of this man yelling at the non-laughing crowd at a comedy club: "that was a joke!"

Do appreciate you posting it--the shark stuff was enjoyable. For those of you with better sense who didn't make it to the end, I did enjoy this zinger: "Just when we think the world is a sad, ugly place, Notre Dame goes 4-8 and reminds us there’s still hope."
