Way OT: Most disturbing movie you have ever watched?

The Deer Hunter
February 1st, 2018 at 1:01 PM ^
Some really disturbing scenes.
February 1st, 2018 at 5:08 PM ^
I watched that for the first time last summer. It hasn't aged well. I wasn't disturbed by the movie. I was more depressed at how bad it was. I thought it being an award-winning film it would be, you know, good? Instead, we get an hour-long, Eastern European themed wedding in Pennsylvania steel country, followed by a guy becoming a world famous Russian Roulette player. That's not a career where you are likely to make a name for yourself. It just seemed so stupid to me.

Or how about the scene in Jarhead when they watch The Deer Hunter?
February 1st, 2018 at 5:09 PM ^
They watch Apocalypse Now with the helicopters.
February 1st, 2018 at 6:24 PM ^
You don't remember the deer hunter seen?
February 1st, 2018 at 7:58 PM ^
Maybe he hasn’t scene it.
February 1st, 2018 at 8:43 PM ^
Good eye slugger. +1 to you friend.

Disappointed that the first comment on this thread isn’t from FauxMo.

My ears are burning!!!
No, no, wait, that's my loins. My loins are burning...

There's an ointment for that.

A Serbian Film
February 1st, 2018 at 12:31 PM ^
Jesus man, he said disturbing, not fucking scar you for life insane!
February 1st, 2018 at 1:51 PM ^
A Serbian Film should be in a category by itself. Disturbing isn't the right word. That movie I believe can still be seen on YouTube.
Daniel and Ana is disturbing. At one time it was on Netflix. A guy and his sister were kidnapped and forced to fuck on camera.
I believe Emanuelle in America is the movie where they had some realistic looking snuff scenes. Near the end, a chick's nipple was cut off and I swear it looked real when you consider the technology of that time. I'm pretty sure I fast forwarded through a donkey show also.
February 1st, 2018 at 8:43 PM ^
unless you want to lose part of your humanity. A Serbian Film is hors categorie.
When it comes to disturbing films, I prefer those that make me consider my own choices and my own life and my own philosophy for days to come. Not infant . . ., no I'm not going there.
Where it comes to morally disturbing films, I thought both
- Requiem for a Dream
- Ex Machina
were both effective. Disturbing at times, but for a very good cause.

I'll add to this that I once saw a Queen Latifah nude scene. You wouldn't think it would be that bad but it was almost like she gained weight for the role. When it happened, I asked my wife who the hell that was. She said "It's Queen Latifah". That scene added nothing to the movie other than to imprint itself on my brain.
February 1st, 2018 at 2:17 PM ^
But by reading the reviews,I am man enough to say - Do not watch this film.
February 1st, 2018 at 12:38 PM ^
I read the Wiki plot summary of that film once and it made me want to declare war on all of Europe.
February 1st, 2018 at 2:05 PM ^
Just read the plot summary, think nuking from space is the only way to be sure. How do you even get people to act in these things?
February 1st, 2018 at 2:31 PM ^
I read it until I got to the concept of "newborn porn" and stopped. Whoever made this film should be set on fire.
February 1st, 2018 at 3:33 PM ^
I had to read the wiki summary as well. Aaaaaaand... I regret it.
February 1st, 2018 at 1:40 PM ^
Yeah, I'm late for the party, but my first thought when I saw this thread was "if anyone doesn't say A Serbian Film it means they never saw it."
February 1st, 2018 at 1:55 PM ^
I will have to look it up.
I thought 8mm was pretty uncomfortable to watch.
February 1st, 2018 at 2:00 PM ^
I just read the IMDB synopsis. Jesus - it makes Se7en look like fucking Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.
February 1st, 2018 at 2:22 PM ^
popped into my head also as kind of hard to watch. Another movie I thought of, because of how depressing it is was "The Road"
February 1st, 2018 at 2:31 PM ^
This is the correct answer. I challenge anyone to watch it and not be depressed for about a week. The book was very good, however, its one of the rare cases where the movie is better. A Clockwork Orange is on my list as well . ..
February 1st, 2018 at 2:41 PM ^
Cloud Atlas also
February 2nd, 2018 at 12:47 AM ^
I opened this thread to see how many people would name that movie. Truly awful to watch
February 1st, 2018 at 12:31 PM ^
...Amazon’s 2017 Michigan Football show.
February 1st, 2018 at 12:31 PM ^
Thread hijack- First time father today! Hope he's a future Wolverine! Go Blue!
February 1st, 2018 at 12:35 PM ^
I'm not sure this was a good thread to jack for that announcement, but hey, who knows. Congratulations friend!
February 1st, 2018 at 12:40 PM ^
maybe his name is Robert Thorn
February 1st, 2018 at 5:11 PM ^
he should be OK
February 1st, 2018 at 12:43 PM ^
You can always rely on good ol Mgoblog!
Guy says "first time father, hope he's a Wolverine" and someone negs him!
February 1st, 2018 at 1:51 PM ^
Got 3 negs...did he have triplets?
February 1st, 2018 at 7:31 PM ^
was as creative and prolific as the negging here.
February 1st, 2018 at 12:49 PM ^
Ha I looked at the title and thought it was perfect because what I saw was disturbing. Plus it was the newest thread.
February 1st, 2018 at 12:37 PM ^
So we'll be seeing more posts from you in the 1 am -5 am time frame.
Congrats! And welcome to the hardest thing you'll ever love doing!
February 1st, 2018 at 12:58 PM ^
Congrats! I have a 5 month old TE I'm hoping becomes a wolverine. (He's a blocky-blocky-catchy type TE not a catchy-catchy-blocky)
February 1st, 2018 at 2:17 PM ^
well then Eraserhead is for you!

Human Centipede...
February 1st, 2018 at 12:47 PM ^
Two things:
1. Human Centipede is awesome to watch with a large group of people so you can all riff on it together. It's awful to watch by yourself.
2. Given the core concept of the film, I think it's done surprisingly tastefully.
February 1st, 2018 at 1:42 PM ^
I actually thought Human Centipede was fairly mild. The scene where the kid is shitting into the girl's mouth and the doctor says "Yes, feed her!!!" actually made me laugh. I mean that was side splitting funny to me. And then with the sequels they lost all creativity and just said "how many people can we have shitting in each other's mouths?" and somehow thought that would make it more disgusting.
February 1st, 2018 at 1:57 PM ^
In that case "Two girls, one cup" is the video for you! Defintely NSFW if you start googling it.
February 1st, 2018 at 9:17 PM ^
at my college house, it was a constant prank war to leave 2 girls 1 cup on roommates' computers for them to come home to
February 1st, 2018 at 1:57 PM ^
The first one was bad enough. I didn't watch the second one and I had no interest in watching a prison movie with a chain of dudes eating ass.
