The ultimate Michigan signed memorabilia piece?

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Was poking on ebay because had some very rare free time, and found what might be the ultimate memorabilia piece as far as signed items go.

Only thing I can think of that might surpass it is something signed by Yost AND Crisler/Bo but that would have to be like a family heirloom passed down just based on the age gap between the coaches.

Price is $1999 or best offer for any of you big spenders.

Sorry, but I already own the ultimate Michigan memorabilia.  A football signed by Rich Rod and Dave Brandon - signed in Miss Rita's nacho cheese dip.

I have to keep it refrigerated, but it's priceless.

But is it all that rare..   Bo signed a bunch of footballs and Harbaugh is still alive and does public signings.  Get a Bo ball, get it signed by Jimmy...Profit

$500 tops.

I really don't mean any disrespect but I think buying autographs is stupid. I've always looked at autographs as the ultimate proof of being somewhere and remind you of a special moment... Not buying it to show someone that's says "that's cool."

Not at all an autograph hound, but I recently found a baseball I bought for my son back in 2004 when I found out that the Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan was going to make a stop at the Bobo Brazil Center in Benton Harbor. Though I gave it to my son back then so he could get it autographed by the Tigers players and staff in attendance, he's now no longer interested in baseball and told me I could keep it (as he told me, "finders, keepers). While it's likely that only die-hard Tigers fans would recognize the rather obscure members of the 2003 Tigers team who signed that baseball, one autograph in particular caught my eye when I found the ball buried in a box of belongings: that of then-manager and newly-elected Hall-of-Famer Alan Trammell. Bottom line: I have no intention to sell it, nor would I ever pursue buying anything someone else got signed by Tram. Why? Because somebody else's belongings don't mean nearly as much to me as this particular baseball---not only did Tram sign that baseball for my son, but he also took the time to interact with me and especially my then 9-year-old son, showing genuine interest in what my son had to say about his Little League team, even offering him advice on strengthening his throwing arm. Stuff like this, when attached to fond memories, mean much more to me than just some random autograph by someone famous.

a Bobo Brazil Community Center in Benton Harbor: http://www2.sjcpl.org/db/historydb/recorddetail/rec/708 Brazil (his real name is Houston Harris) was raised in Benton Harbor. And the community center named after him? I believe it was built nearly a century ago. During WWII the building was used for detained German POW's. I'm not sure what the current status is of the building, but I know that several years ago it had to close because of extensive water damage; I believe the repairs finally happened and that the building eventually reopened.

I think the ultimate M memorabilia was a tailgating van that was found in a junkyard a few years back. If I remember correctly it had around 100 autographs.
If I’m not mistaken it was covered on these pages.
